It's funny video because the Egyptian are shown with dark sk8n and thick features, but the jews have lighter skin and softer features, even though in reality they would look identical
Yeah, that's the one major issue I've noticed with this particular set of free Bible illustrations from the 1980s. Not only the Jews, but even Adam and Eve look so white! Too bad. These illustrations are pretty good in almost every other way, and there are a lot of them, and they're free.
The Israelites look quite dark here. Also, Aleph with Beth did not make the illustrations. They are doing their best to provide us with free resources to learn hebrew. Whatever comments we have, however valid They may be, should come with gratitude and love. They are doing the best they can to minister. If we have a criticism, should we not also be presenting the problem while providing a solution? Have a blessed day!
@@faithgarcia7638 Actually, really interesting... your comment made me go back and check, and actually the coloring in all these illustrations has been totally changed! Compare the coloring in "The Boy in the Ark" video (after Lesson 69) with the same illustrations here... there's a huge difference! All the colors are much brighter and the skin tones of the Israelites are noticeably darker. I can't believe I didn't realize this at first!
Skin color is Not the focus on any of these stories unless it's describing someone's physical appearance. 1600's is when color became a issue. it has divided our race... The Human Race. Common sense. ppl closer to the equator & more hours of sun have darker. i live by myrtle beach and All these "White" ppl are darker than me. And im "Black" 🤷🏻♀️

I never thought that I would, could, can finally understand why Moses' name is Moses.
As a child, I loved Bible stories. I was told the name Moses, mean 'drew out from water'. But I don't fully understand how and why when a baby is drawn out from water, he will be called Moses.
Simply because... משה is draw out from water, root word משה. Mosheh, Mashah.
