- Learn how to tell people NOT to do something through lots of fun examples! We'll see that even though this verb form overlaps with the yiqtol form in most cases, some weak verbs reveal that it's actually a slightly different form, called "jussive" in Hebrew grammar terminology, and "yaqtel" in Hebrew.

Amazing! Another emotional rollercoaster…from laughing, to somber, and even a little scared (when Avram tried to give Naomi the knife 😮), thankfully, it’s not true! He’s a good father. Seriously, you’re making history in Biblical Hebrew Pedagogy. Thank you so much!

But I think the kn ife scene should be removed, scenes like this can be easily misused - and could be distressful to some.

Hebrew takes the imperative mood to another level.
Yaqtel is what we call jussive mood, then the negative imperative is actually the jussive, which happens to be similar to some vayyiqtol forms.
