It is so amazing how you were able to bring your students through such a range of emotions within a lesson, from laughing hysterically out loud at that silly husband of yours, to feeling the awe of the holy Scriptures. And then to think that you are able to teach such subtleties and nuances of accents and vowel pointing without ever leaving L2. God has truly gifted you guys, to him be the glory.

Now I can understand the real meaning of your promise in the beginning when you said that this is the best method of teaching Hebrew. I agree with you. You are helping us learn Hebrew through Hebrew and it works for everyone. God bless you all. This is my alternative account of Halissone Nefitala

Just think, originally Hebrew was written without any vowel notations. I think I might need a separate class on Hebrew phonology to ever understand the vowel system, but kudos to Andrew for starring as Meteg and Silluq ...perfect for when I was starting to feel a little bit like spacing out there!

Funny. I would think, "I don't know that word." And it is almost like you read my mind and explain the word I did not know. You are clearly the master here 😄 The grammar in the last five minutes in of itself is something I will need to watch, practice, and look at the examples. Edit: Yeah. Time to move on and deal with the grammar through practice 😆

It might be worth mentioning that qamets chatuf is also known as qamats qatan. Also in some fonts it is given a distinct appearance. When it has a distinct appearance, it is usually taller than normal qamats, which can be a bit confusing given that it has "qatan" in its name. Thanks for your video.

What are the rules for qamets hatuph? I thought it was "closed and unaccented" syllables. But with Naomi's name in Hebrew, how do we know its qamets hatuph with the first syllable? Thanks!!!

Shalom, ich hatte dieses Programm aktiviert weil ich vor hatte, hebräisch zu lernen. Leider stelle ich fest, daß es mir ein wenig zu schnell geht. Man spricht dir zwar vor, wie es ausgesprochen wird, aber auf deutsch nichts also die Bedeutung. Schade. Shalom Giacoma

The lessons are designed so that if you watch them in order starting with Lesson 1, you won't need subtitles or translations. You will learn better by understanding the Hebrew directly without translating in your head 😉
