Would love to see an in-depth look at the Leica phone. I had no idea it existed before now, but now I'm captivated by just how extra it seems. We've got to find out the catches!
Well it's based on the Aquos R6 (the other guy already pointed that out) which came in the first half of this year & was one of the first (and still only one) to feature 1-240Hz LTPO display along with the 1" sensor & the beloved 3.5mm HP Jack ofc!!
While I definitely can’t and probably won’t get that Leica phone, I’d love to see a review on it. Very interesting that they went for that design but for a camera like that, I get it.
The tick tock phone is actually an interesting concept, if you think about the way we as a culture communicate attention, focus, and respect - for example, laying a phone face down, which usually mutes it or puts it on do not disturb, so as to show that we are paying attention to a conversation or a meeting in a room or whatnot. Laying this phone face down still allows you to have the benefits of a smartwatch, where you get a discrete, simplified version of alerts, but for people who do not physically enjoy wearing a watch.
Absolutely loved this episode, thought the Unihertz phone was so quirky, and then the Leica Leitz! Think it has a fabulous shell/body. Please review both in more detail. Also yes the CAT phone was also good, like the new light Android version.
That CAT phone is like a gift from above for me. I've always wanted something reminiscent of a mid-00's cell phone, but running Android. It's not that I want to go basic or disconnect, I just don't have a preference for the "one giant screen" form factor that dominates 99% of the market. And regarding the question posed at the Unihertz, the question isn't "why?", it's "why not?".
Am I the only one who gets that strange nostalgic feeling at 1:28 to back when the first smarphones without a keyboard were released and you still had a normal phone with real keys and suddenly you get all the screen in the world? Ok, the screen were much smaller back then but the normal phones were also much smaller than this flip phone here in the middle. 😁
Have to be real, of all the phones in this video I love that cat flip. It's just smart enough for what I would use it for while being protected and not any smarter than it needs to be. Perfect for surveying and sitework whenever I need something like that
Definitely would like a review on the Leica Phone, and one thought, why not take a bit of a crazy "road trip", Alaska. Right now Fairbanks is an absolute winter wonderland, and with the storms we are getting, great photography. Plus, there are 2 big tests/challenges that Alaska can throw at a device that not many places can, extreme low light, and extreme cold. One comparison that I do testing different equipment is battery length "warm", and cold. Plus, you would not believe some of the crazy quirks that extreme cold can bring out in a device of any sorts!!!!

I work at a HelloFresh facility, we pack up the things into boxes. Let me tell you it's all frozen solid so it's definitely pretty fresh when it arrives

I had the p800 as a kid and it didn't even have video capture. I remember getting a 3rd party app to record 15sec footage taking snapshots that compiled a video clip xD p800 was like the kids version of the p910.
That Tick Tock Watch @2:32 should have been removable 🤯. Then it magnetically attaches to a wrist band. And boom you gots a tiny version of the Tick Tock phone, on your wrist 🤯😳😵
I've owned 7 Leica cameras, first introduced to me back in 1959, ( I was 7yrs) when my uncle came home after WW2, it was otherworldly, (model was a 3F, Wiki it!) compared to my dad's Box Brownie. So yeah, please get a review in! It's so interesting, I'm planning on buying in 2022, it should drop in price then! 🥂
Would absolutely love to see a review of the Leitz 1, never really see much about Sharp phones in general never mind such a special edition of one. Curious to see if the 240hz panel is a noticeable improvement over the 90 and 120hz panels that are becoming more and more common now as well Fantastic video as always and happy holidays!

My dad had one of those CAT phones as a work phone. He was a visiting nurse at the time and the company provided. He actually bought one about a month after he left the company because he actually liked it and missed having a secondary "dumb" phone that still did emails.
We need a camera comparison between the Xperia Pro I and the Leica phone and maybe a general discussion about their one inch sensors. How the both companies use them and how much of the sensor actually they use.

I wouldn't mind using the cat phone and kicking it around a bit. If it switches accounts easily I would use it as an outdoor phone.

That Surface Duo has so much potential. Hard to imagine other manufactures haven’t embraced this form factor.
