On the 11th of May it will be 6 years since my Daughter died. In her short life we had just one night where it was me and her. I remember openly weeping tears of joy as I cradled Winter in my arms, her head next to my beating heart. This song came on my music player and it was the most perfect moment of my life. This song will always be mine and hers. Winter Scarlett Hutchinson Daddy misses you more than you could know and I will love you always. Winter Scarlett Hutchinson 02/04/15 to 11/05/15
Gravity is the lead single from Embrace's 4th album back in 2004, "Out of Nothing". This album reached No. 1 in the UK charts though. Most people know this song was written by Chris Martin & he gave it to Embrace. Danny McNamara, the frontman of Embrace & Chris had become friends after Coldplay supported Embrace in 2000 in Blackpool. This song was first performed live by Coldplay in 2002 & later went on to release their own version in 2005 as a B-side to the single "Talk". I am a fan of both Embrace & Coldplay. I find both versions to be awesome in their own ways. I just feel so extremely sad seeing people bashing on Embrace & criticize Danny's way of singing, comparing this version to Coldplay's. I have been a fan of Embrace ever since I heard "Come Back To What You Know" on the radio. They have been around since 1990 & have achieved critical acclaim as well as success in album sales. Their 1st album became one of the fastest selling debut albums by a British act. I just feel they deserve a little more respect....
Absolutely...different bands different sounds.....personally I love both versions and as far as I’m concerned one is as good as other.....just enjoy them....
Lots of great moments tied up In embrace songs. I walked around my house with my twin boys in my arms when they were new borns listening to embrace. Special band
My 12th grade art teacher had a lot of cool ideas, but my favorite was this one project where we had to compile a playlist and design a CD cover for it. I was a total loser kid but I was passionate about art. His unusual teaching methods didn't suit everybody, but I felt he just got me. I handed in my CD cover together with a folder full of my scrapped designs for it as well as all the lyrics of the songs I chose and little statements of what they meant to me. Got an A+ and that was that. It's been 12 years since I graduated highschool. I took a teaching position at my old school a few months ago and I was so happy to see my old art teacher again. He retired at the end of the school year, so i was glad I got to tell him how much his lessons meant for a dumb, depressed, teenaged loser like me before he left the school. Two days ago, the last Friday before summer vacation ends, I went to school to prepare a few things, and in my pigeon hole I found my CD project from back then. This was the first song on my old playlist. Listening to this song now brings back so many memories and feelings from that time in my life. Being bullied, my parents separating, no idea what to do with my life and fear of the future. But now there's also the knowledge that there was somebody who cared about me, someone who valued me and my ideas enough to keep a little highschool art project for over 12 years. The new school year starts tomorrow. I'll miss him in the teachers' lounge, but I'll also be forever grateful. Perhaps I can make a difference for a troubled student one day.
I am an english teacher in argentina and I think that sometimes my teaching methods are unusual too jaaa. I know how teachers could set a mark in our lifes and I try to do it everyday. I love your story my friend!!!!
Your teacher understood the essence of art: There are no rules. As an artist, the warmth of your story truly touches me. Art is truly for the misfits, myself being one all my life. I've just stopped doodling a few minutes ago, so I'm going back to that. Thanks to you. Thank you for the inspiration. Continue to break the cycle, as your teacher did. Stay well ✌
This was the 1st song on the radio in the car on the way home after my mother passed away from cancer. Still well up when I hear it, epic song. The power of music.
When i was a baby, my dad use to sing this to me..He was killed when i was 7, im now 17 and this just reminds me how much he loved me, and how much i love him.
Arwen, so sad to read your memory of such a great song, I;m so sorry, keep those memories as this a superb and beautiful song, your dad is singing this to you from heaven
OMG, forgot about this tune, it's an emotional song to me, brings back memories of my wife who was taken from me from cancer, can't stop playing it!!!!
This song is for the love of my life, I don't know where you are, I don't know how you are, I don't know how you are, but it is for you and when I find you we will dance this song with great anguish for the time we were not together.
I finally found the song that I heard back in 2005 on the radio that made me cry and sob so hard...it was like finding a light after you walked from darkness and found your destination to move forward 😭❤️ thank you for this beautiful melody ❤️🙏
I cried like a baby when this song was played in Birmingham last Thursday, and a nice lady in the audience gave me a hug. How very apt that the band are called Embrace.
[Verse 1] Honey, it's been a long time coming And I can't stop now Such a long time running And I can't stop now Do you hear my heart beating? Do you hear that sound? 'Cause I can't help thinking And I don't look down [Chorus] And then I looked up at the sun and I could see All the way that gravity turns for you and me And then I looked up at the sky and saw the sun And the way that gravity pulls on everyone On everyone [Verse 2] Baby, it's been a long time waiting Such a long, long time And I can't stop smiling No, I can't stop now Oh, do you hear my heart beating? Oh, can you hear that sound? 'Cause I can't help crying And I won't look down [Chorus] And then I looked up at the sun and I could see All the way that gravity turns for you and me And then I looked up at the sun and saw the sky And the way that gravity pulls on you and I On you and I [Verse 3] Can you hear my heart beating? Oh, do you hear that sound? 'Cause I can't help crying And I won't look down

Honey, it's been a long time coming
And I can't stop now
Such a long time running
And I can't stop now
Do you hear my heart beating?
Do you hear that sound?
'Cause I can't help thinking
And I don't look down

And then I looked up at the sun and I could see
All the way that gravity turns for you and me
And then I looked up at the sky and saw the sun
And the way that gravity pulls on everyone
On everyone
[Verse 2]
Baby, it's been a long time waiting
Such a long, long time
And I can't stop smiling
No, I can't stop now
Oh, do you hear my heart beating?
Oh, can you hear that sound?
'Cause I can't help crying
And I won't look down
[Chorus]
And then I looked up at the sun and I could see
All the way that gravity turns for you and me
And then I looked up at the sun and saw the sky
And the way that gravity pulls on you and I
On you and I
