My dad is too far gone in this regard. He has not showered in almost 3 years! We do manage to wash his clothes after reading them for weeks at times. He does not sponge bathe as he will not allow anyone even my mom to be in the bathroom with him. At times he has used body wipes but very rarely. He no longer shaves and he never had facial hair. Every month or so their hairdresser comes and cuts my folks' hair and she will shave him and groom his chest and back but that's the extent of his hygiene. He is still quite strong and belligerent and we can't reason with him re bathing. He is well behaved when other people are around but when it the 3 of us he can be rude and smartalecky and bossy. It's becoming a real problem.
My husband doesn't want to shower so I put signs on wall and 😊 stickers as reminder.
