Glad you went with DSS ones because folks are having issues with the G-Force ones. You definitely should be set for life. Famous last words 😂

Haha fingers crossed! If I break these I’d be making scary power!

Thanks for the video, I was sure someone would come out with a better replacement, it was just a matter of time. I have a 2023 RT and am contemplating doing some upgrades this winter. Ive already swaped the diff for a 3.9 ratio, really woke up the 5.7, seems in its happy zone with the 8 speed. Your channel is great, keep up the vids! Thanks again.

Yea the R/Ts with autos really benefit from the 3.09s and limited slip. They never should’ve come with an open diff from the factory. If you there 3.9s in you’re close to what I’ve got in the manual which will give you some extra jump. Glad the vid helped!

Nice vid....getting ready to do the DSS half shaft replacement also. Just wondering if there is anything you might do differently (haven't seen vid of install after the cradle repair of front diff mounting point). Wondering if keeping the suspension up on jacks to be able to move around instead of supporting on the wheels would have helped install of splines into diff. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

No this went really smooth for us. I’ve seen some guys take the whole suspension apart to do the install but that would be way more work than we had to do with the way we approached it. I thought it would be worse than it was honestly. Good luck!

Saving up for this mod as well. Got a 2012 challenger with the same getrag diff. Axles aint cheap but you gotta pay to play. Thanks for the video buddy. God Bless

That "clunk" you were hearing before was the warning that the CV joints were failing. Had a similar sound on mine before it failed. Sadly, I had chalked up the sound to the breaks. 😔

Hey, it's Brian from Oklahoma. Did you ever upgrade springs on your suspension? I thought about the 1320 springs.

Hey Bri, not yet, but I have been eyeing up some lowering springs. I don't want anything super drastic, but just enough to improve some handling more and give it a bit tighter look without ruining the ride.

Ive got an auto 09 and contemplating swapping in a getrag 3:73 or 3:92 but ill need 226mm axles and hubs as mine are the 215mm. So when you guys were putting the axles into the diff is there a lock ring or something that gives annaudible click or whatever so you know when that half axle is actually engaged in there? This looks like something I can handle with some help but its hard to visualize whats going on in there with no idea of what the internals look like.

Yep that’s right, it’s a snap right that locks it in place when you push it in. I was in the same boat, I actually had to ask Matt because I wasn’t sure how they locked in place.

I've got my new front sway bar to put on, that might be about it for the summer, we'll see what happens over the winter here, depends on the budget. lol If you're still kicking around town we should get together, or at very least hit up the track, I still haven't seen you're setup!

Why not scat axles ain’t the scat axle the same?

Factory axles we looked at that would work with my style diff were all on back order with no estimated time for arrival and a long wait list of people. If I had a newer car I would weigh the option of hellcat axles vs the DSS ones I put in.
