I also read somewhere once that why gay people like inhuman characters (possibly dating a human, but doesn’t have to be) so much is because we ourselves feel alienated by society and are seen as monsters by homophobes. It probably won’t be the case for ever gay person, but for me that made me look at the characters I’ve liked before and made me go: ‘F*ck.. they’re right..’
