With regards to the monkey news about the chimp presenter in moscow…. Apparently the true story is the tv show had a regular segment with a biologist bringing on different animals. On one occasion the main presenter became sick during an ad break and couldnt continue the show and so the biologist had to take over presenting the rest of the show. Because they hadn’t had time to get the biologist to get ready and mic’d up they had to randomly just films the chimp for a few minutes just to show something. I’ve read it was big news in Russia at the time, but at no point did the monkey interview cher. If you research all of karls stories they always end up being half true, but he seems to fail to read the whole story and just makes up the details he didnt read or remember (he probably just read the click bait news headlines)
Why is Karl so insistent that Monkey News is true, even when he admits it was emailed in? Ricky gets so angry I rekon he's close to punching him sometimes!! 👊🏼

If you're actually asking, it's probably a mixture of his true naivety and his playing it up for comedy. Also he absolutely might just be winding up Ricky on purpose, he is not as stupid as he appears, he just has low verbal intelligence.
