This situation replicates that of Hollywood/US music industry. Celebrities/actors are plastered all over realityTV and popular magazines as being "drug addicts/party-goers" and dying from "drug overdose/suicide" or for "having a past history of depression", so the celebrity is automatically faulted for everything. Little do fans know that these celebrities managers are the ones controlling their lifestyles and forcing them to take drugs and sleep with powerful men. For what reason? To take the blame away from themselves! When do you ever hear of controversial topics surrounding celebrity managers? Exactly, NEVER! They are the ones getting away with EVERYTHING while scapegoating the blame on the celebrity! A lot of young male actors as young as 10 were raped in the industry, that is enough proof. Macaulay Culkin even came out with his story about his manager forcing him to sleep with him or else he would be skinned alive, with his flesh imprinted on a shoe. And what happened to Culkin thereafter? He was labeled as a DRUG ADDICT by the time he reached his pre-teen years all over popular magazines. And these magazine editors blamed a PRE-TEEN for getting into drugs after being forced into intercourse? Who's at fault here??? Hollywood industry is a million times worse and far more cruel. But still, pity those girls for what they had to go through. Such disgusting behavior from men and women in power!

I used to be THE BIGGEST YellowBee stan after they changed their line-up, cuz their VLOG WERE HILARIOUS!!!! I liked them to the point I even bought a promo copy of their "DVD" album and I ever did that for like two groups! I was so sad when Ari, shared what happened in the company but I'm also happy that she spoke out about it
If a group does a mass exodus, a very public example being Got7 or the lesser known first Yellow Bee line up, then YOU KNOW there are big issues with the company management and their treatment of their idols.
In Got7's case it was more because of neglect which isn't as bad as this, but yes companies need to be more aware of their idols, this is their life and career after all. It sometimes feels unfair to have to hand over all control to your company even though it is ultimately their life and their career.

JYPE took a good percentage out of Jackson's Chinese money, and was told he couldn't promote his music in certain countries, specifically South Korea, the whole of GOT7 was overworked especially 2018-2019 with Korean comebacks, Japanese comebacks/tours and world tours. Let's not even go into the fact they never took legal action for ANY of the members or incident. But yes, other groups may have it worse, but let's not diminish what GOT7 went through

What men with power will do to women is disgusting and disgraceful. It is not just in the K-Pop industry. It is worldwide. Modeling agencies, sports cheerleaders, etc. are used by their companies to "entertain" men with money. NFL cheerleaders (I think it was the Washington Redskins cheerleaders - the name has since changed) came out a few years ago and told of having to go to events with "big spenders at the stadiums" and being encouraged to drink and talk with these men. Again, the women were not paid and treated like prostitutes. I am happy that the ladies rom Yellow Bee stuck up for themselves. I hope the company is out of business and have been shamed out of the industry.
In every type of industry and work. It really frustrating and horrible how same people take advantage of their power and work to hurt and do horrible things. Like the woman who was married to a policeman and suffer domestic violence. Doctors that suffer from hero syndrome i think that how it call. I wish there could be more regulations and stringent laws before just any group of people with money could open an “entertainment agency” an lure impressionable young people to them. Obviously there was criminal behavior and mistreatment happening and those involved should be held fully accountable. Small companies with big ambitions and no experience = big problems for artists. This is a very rare situation with newbi ents when everything is well and artists becomes successful and popular. It is rather a combination of competent management, talent and BIG luck. Unfortunately, there have been a lot of sad stories with such boys and girls groups like this one. I ran a Yellow Bee fan page back in the day and some extra happenings I can add in here: -There was an incident back in 2018 where Boyeon said, on Instagram, that a man had been watching her while she was in her room one night. It was shortly before Yellow Bee gen. 1 fell apart. -As an OG Honeyjar from 2017, I can sadly say we were pretty prepared for something bad coming with that audition, just... not with every last member gone. If I remember correctly, Berry was confirmed to have left before the audition opened. From there, Yellow Bee won an award in late 2018 or early 2019 but only Rozy and Seona appeared at the event to accept it. Meanwhile, the audition page listed Seona, Berry and Somee as the current members which.. wouldn't make since as Rozy was still appearing on their social media but, from late 2018 on, only Rozy and Seona appeared, all the way up to Valentine's day 2019. The members have been extremely private since leaving Yellow Bee and their departures were never explained. Honestly, I feel the "stalker" issue is a small taste into what drove them out of Addiction Entertainment.

There's a massive contradiction in the companies 2nd statement. First they say "They [agency director & female manager] did not see the sexual harrassment take place", but then they go on to immediately say that when the members tried to stop Yoon from assaulting the girl, "people including the agency director and manager cursed him out and there was a fight". It sounds like (in terms of timeline) the staff were absolutely there when the harrassment took place but only (apparently) acted on it after the girls had gone home. I think that it is interesting how the agency does not tackle the sexual assault & accountability allegations first in their explanation but rather last, treating it as more of an afterthought (when it should have been the first thing on the agenda). Instead, the agency seems concerned by the fact that they had a poor manager and that Yoon produced a poor MV and was difficult to work with. Rather than being horrified (as they should have been) at how Yoon treated the girls, the assault appears to have been treated as more "the straw that broke the camels back". If this fight did break out afterwards, I wonder how much of the discontent was focused on Yoon producing poor products than his predatory behaviour? Because if the agencies statement is anything to go by, I would bet the former (not the latter). Nothing feels sincere or genuinely apologetic about the companys statement. Instead, the company just wants to remove sense of accountability over what happened ("We employed Yoon for a job but he wasn't really one of our employees", "we didn't see the harrassment happen on our watch (but if it did happen we promise we did something about it later on)" etc). 60% of the statement reads as a rant about their own employees (bad managers, difficult film producers, etc) rather than an apology over how they failed their members. Who the heck is running this ship? I feel bad for the girls as it is clear that they were just treated as replaceable commodities on the bottom end of the chain. But they are human beings with dreams, hearts, talent and earnest potential. I know that these companies aren't run as charities (if something doesn't sell they can't keep on investing into it forever because at the end of the day, bills have to be paid). But one can't help feel that there is a distinct lack of human rights and common decency in how many young talents at agencies are treated, and I really question how much some of these companies are even genuinely interested in their stars ever making it big (for real). It seems like there are a lot of companies which are content to cream off/make profit of a steady supply of hopeful teenagers, who they lure with the promise of possibly becoming a star, when all the company is really interested in is the initial gains aquired through the members own financial investments and floating the group on minimal investment (and if nothing further materializes, NP, because such young employees have virtually no legal rights or legal awareness and are easy to dispose of). I hope that social media puts pressure on for changes to be made in the industry. Even if these are isolated cases, they are appaling cases and it is not right that this sort of corporate behaviour (which is likely not isolated) is going unpunished both legally and socially.
I think it's incredibly telling and insidious that the company went "we talked to every member but this mysterious odd one out together" bc if the girls weren't as close as it seems like they got, each could have very well felt like the other 4 were ganging up on them... Success in the entertainment industry, especially as a kpop idol, isn't just about talent and visuals, it's also heavily reliant on luck. These poor girls. My heart goes out to them and every other trainee and group that got mistreated by their own companies.

One of the reason why it irks me that some big3 fans downplay the struggles of small company idols. I've seen many saying that it's harder to debut in big companies like sis, I understand the idols went through trainings and whatnot (everyone did regardless of companies) plus they have their own struggles but you can't deny that compared to these small company idols they really are privileged. No need to victimize your idol wth.
They are privileged because the idols in the past that paved the way for there own company eg:- H.O.T & S E.S for sm entertainment, wonder girls & rain for jyp, big bang & 2ne1 for yg...these small company didn't even have one group that are main stream group and caught the eye of general public....and once there was a time there big3 was also small company...because of there sucess and rate more people want to join big3 audition than smaller companies because of stability...which results in more competition to debut like it's hard to get addmission in Oxford University than a normal University 😴
As someone who was a fan of yellow bee since their first debut with the original member lineup, this is shocking and just breaks my heart. I made a fanpage for them back in 2018 and even interacted and talked to the (first) members over DMs. As one of the only fanpages (if not the only, I'm not sure) I even interacted with A.D Entertainment and I believe their manager? I took a break from K-Pop and social media in general and when I came back, the whole group changed. There were new members and a new song, I couldn't even find a trace of the old members, it was like they were never even there? It was a really strange feeling but I decided to keep my fanpage going, archived all the posts that included the first lineup members and started posting content of the new members. The disbandment announcement didn't really surprise me to be very honest. I don't know why, maybe I was subconsciously suspicious of something being wrong since the first members left the company all of a sudden. I feel so bad for them and I hope the girls are okay now. No one deserves being treated that horrible, especially when they were working so hard towards their dreams.

I think we should cast a wary eye for all agencies, including P Nation. Right now, they're doing well, but I'm sure there will be a case where something goes wrong, especially since they haven't debuted any groups of their own yet. They have only signed artists that already had a career before joining the label.

Yeah, it's very hard to believe the company's statements about the issue considering that 2 groups of girls suddenly quit in their first year with the company. This story reminds me a lot of a boy group that also disclosed how one of the managers would treat them inappropriately (she was also accused of sexually harassing them if I remember correctly). These trainees join companies expecting them to protect them and they get exploited instead. Sad part is they also can ruin their career if the members decide to speak out, just like in this case, the company calls one the girls "promiscuous". It's sick.

Like how can you not tell them who are the people working for them? How did they introduce the MV producer? 'He will be editing your MV' and that's it? Saw the TV series hello my twenties 2 recently, they had a character and story arc about a disbanded idol grp (about how one of the members had to cope). It was sad to watch. That's why you need an artists union and a min standards contracts imposed on the companies (like they have done for eg footballers in pro teams in Europe)
I feel sorry for all the poor girls to have suffered from a bad company. I think that all the members should all get together and file a law suit against the company. This kind of exploitation of young attractive performers by their labels, management teams, producers, etc. is sadly quite common throughout the K-pop and other similar industries. In fact, it had been an issue among the entertainment industry for decades worldwide, whether it be music or acting. People who seek after game and riches will inevitably be taken advantage of those with the presumed power and influence to get them what they want. It’s disgusting and reprehensible no matter what country or industry it occurs in. This is why so much of the American music industry has gone independent. I hope K-pop and other Asian industries have the opportunity and capability to do the same.
something similar but worse happened to jang jayeon. she was a side character in the drama boys over flowers and she went through so much she committed suicide because she couldn't handle it. she had written a letter talking about what she went through and how the company she was under forced her to sleep with other ceos and big figures if she wanted to act and take roles (I believe she mentioned the names of over 30 ceos) but someone attempted to burn that letter (I don't remember who) which is a crime because it can be considered arson (getting rid of evidence) and because the people she was forced to entertain were all powerful and had a lot of money her case was closed after the investigation, I don't remember what the ceos' punishments were (if they were even punished) and it was only brought up again after another actress talked about it. at the time she witnessed jang jayeon being forced to entertain old men, but didn't speak up because she was threatened that if she said anything about it or testified as a witness of what jang jayeon went through, she wouldn't be able to act in any dramas.
Actually, I remember that about 2 years ago their agency opened an online audition to find a new member for YellowBee on a website made mostly for foreigners hopeful to become idols

This situation replicates that of Hollywood/US music industry. Celebrities/actors are plastered all over realityTV and popular magazines as being "drug addicts/party-goers" and dying from "drug overdose/suicide" or for "having a past history of depression", so the celebrity is automatically faulted for everything. Little do fans know that these celebrities managers are the ones controlling their lifestyles and forcing them to take drugs and sleep with powerful men. For what reason? To take the blame away from themselves! When do you ever hear of controversial topics surrounding celebrity managers? Exactly, NEVER! They are the ones getting away with EVERYTHING while scapegoating the blame on the celebrity! A lot of young male actors as young as 10 were raped in the industry, that is enough proof. Macaulay Culkin even came out with his story about his manager forcing him to sleep with him or else he would be skinned alive, with his flesh imprinted on a shoe. And what happened to Culkin thereafter? He was labeled as a DRUG ADDICT by the time he reached his pre-teen years all over popular magazines. And these magazine editors blamed a PRE-TEEN for getting into drugs after being forced into intercourse? Who's at fault here??? Hollywood industry is a million times worse and far more cruel. But still, pity those girls for what they had to go through. Such disgusting behavior from men and women in power!

If a group does a mass exodus, a very public example being Got7 or the lesser known first Yellow Bee line up, then YOU KNOW there are big issues with the company management and their treatment of their idols.
In Got7's case it was more because of neglect which isn't as bad as this, but yes companies need to be more aware of their idols, this is their life and career after all. It sometimes feels unfair to have to hand over all control to your company even though it is ultimately their life and their career.

JYPE took a good percentage out of Jackson's Chinese money, and was told he couldn't promote his music in certain countries, specifically South Korea, the whole of GOT7 was overworked especially 2018-2019 with Korean comebacks, Japanese comebacks/tours and world tours. Let's not even go into the fact they never took legal action for ANY of the members or incident. But yes, other groups may have it worse, but let's not diminish what GOT7 went through

What men with power will do to women is disgusting and disgraceful. It is not just in the K-Pop industry. It is worldwide. Modeling agencies, sports cheerleaders, etc. are used by their companies to "entertain" men with money.
NFL cheerleaders (I think it was the Washington Redskins cheerleaders - the name has since changed) came out a few years ago and told of having to go to events with "big spenders at the stadiums" and being encouraged to drink and talk with these men. Again, the women were not paid and treated like prostitutes.
I am happy that the ladies rom Yellow Bee stuck up for themselves. I hope the company is out of business and have been shamed out of the industry.

In every type of industry and work. It really frustrating and horrible how same people take advantage of their power and work to hurt and do horrible things. Like the woman who was married to a policeman and suffer domestic violence. Doctors that suffer from hero syndrome i think that how it call. Thank you for making this video so people will know what Yellow Bee went through. I ran a Yellow Bee fan page back in the day and some extra happenings I can add in here:
-There was an incident back in 2018 where Boyeon said, on Instagram, that a man had been watching her while she was in her room one night. It was shortly before Yellow Bee gen. 1 fell apart.
-As an OG Honeyjar from 2017, I can sadly say we were pretty prepared for something bad coming with that audition, just... not with every last member gone. If I remember correctly, Berry was confirmed to have left before the audition opened. From there, Yellow Bee won an award in late 2018 or early 2019 but only Rozy and Seona appeared at the event to accept it. Meanwhile, the audition page listed Seona, Berry and Somee as the current members which.. wouldn't make since as Rozy was still appearing on their social media but, from late 2018 on, only Rozy and Seona appeared, all the way up to Valentine's day 2019.
The members have been extremely private since leaving Yellow Bee and their departures were never explained. Honestly, I feel the "stalker" issue is a small taste into what drove them out of Addiction Entertainment.

There's a massive contradiction in the companies 2nd statement. First they say "They [agency director & female manager] did not see the sexual harrassment take place", but then they go on to immediately say that when the members tried to stop Yoon from assaulting the girl, "people including the agency director and manager cursed him out and there was a fight". It sounds like (in terms of timeline) the staff were absolutely there when the harrassment took place but only (apparently) acted on it after the girls had gone home.
I think that it is interesting how the agency does not tackle the sexual assault & accountability allegations first in their explanation but rather last, treating it as more of an afterthought (when it should have been the first thing on the agenda). Instead, the agency seems concerned by the fact that they had a poor manager and that Yoon produced a poor MV and was difficult to work with. Rather than being horrified (as they should have been) at how Yoon treated the girls, the assault appears to have been treated as more "the straw that broke the camels back". If this fight did break out afterwards, I wonder how much of the discontent was focused on Yoon producing poor products than his predatory behaviour?
Because if the agencies statement is anything to go by, I would bet the former (not the latter).
Nothing feels sincere or genuinely apologetic about the companys statement. Instead, the company just wants to remove sense of accountability over what happened ("We employed Yoon for a job but he wasn't really one of our employees", "we didn't see the harrassment happen on our watch (but if it did happen we promise we did something about it later on)" etc). 60% of the statement reads as a rant about their own employees (bad managers, difficult film producers, etc) rather than an apology over how they failed their members. Who the heck is running this ship?
I feel bad for the girls as it is clear that they were just treated as replaceable commodities on the bottom end of the chain. But they are human beings with dreams, hearts, talent and earnest potential. I know that these companies aren't run as charities (if something doesn't sell they can't keep on investing into it forever because at the end of the day, bills have to be paid). But one can't help feel that there is a distinct lack of human rights and common decency in how many young talents at agencies are treated, and I really question how much some of these companies are even genuinely interested in their stars ever making it big (for real).
It seems like there are a lot of companies which are content to cream off/make profit of a steady supply of hopeful teenagers, who they lure with the promise of possibly becoming a star, when all the company is really interested in is the initial gains aquired through the members own financial investments and floating the group on minimal investment (and if nothing further materializes, NP, because such young employees have virtually no legal rights or legal awareness and are easy to dispose of).
I hope that social media puts pressure on for changes to be made in the industry. Even if these are isolated cases, they are appaling cases and it is not right that this sort of corporate behaviour (which is likely not isolated) is going unpunished both legally and socially.
This is so scary and sad. The amount of exploitation and abuse idols endure is heartbreaking.

One of the reason why it irks me that some big3 fans downplay the struggles of small company idols. I've seen many saying that it's harder to debut in big companies like sis, I understand the idols went through trainings and whatnot (everyone did regardless of companies) plus they have their own struggles but you can't deny that compared to these small company idols they really are privileged. No need to victimize your idol wth.
They are privileged because the idols in the past that paved the way for there own company eg:- H.O.T & S E.S for sm entertainment, wonder girls & rain for jyp, big bang & 2ne1 for yg...these small company didn't even have one group that are main stream group and caught the eye of general public....and once there was a time there big3 was also small company...because of there sucess and rate more people want to join big3 audition than smaller companies because of stability...which results in more competition to debut like it's hard to get addmission in Oxford University than a normal University 😴

As someone who was a fan of yellow bee since their first debut with the original member lineup, this is shocking and just breaks my heart.
I made a fanpage for them back in 2018 and even interacted and talked to the (first) members over DMs. As one of the only fanpages (if not the only, I'm not sure) I even interacted with A.D Entertainment and I believe their manager?
I took a break from K-Pop and social media in general and when I came back, the whole group changed. There were new members and a new song, I couldn't even find a trace of the old members, it was like they were never even there? It was a really strange feeling but I decided to keep my fanpage going, archived all the posts that included the first lineup members and started posting content of the new members.
The disbandment announcement didn't really surprise me to be very honest. I don't know why, maybe I was subconsciously suspicious of something being wrong since the first members left the company all of a sudden.
I feel so bad for them and I hope the girls are okay now. No one deserves being treated that horrible, especially when they were working so hard towards their dreams.

Right now, they're doing well, but I'm sure there will be a case where something goes wrong, especially since they haven't debuted any groups of their own yet. They have only signed artists that already had a career before joining the label.

It's so unfortunate that this happens a lot in talent industries around the world... This story reminds me a lot of a boy group that also disclosed how one of the managers would treat them inappropriately (she was also accused of sexually harassing them if I remember correctly). These trainees join companies expecting them to protect them and they get exploited instead. Sad part is they also can ruin their career if the members decide to speak out, just like in this case, the company calls one the girls "promiscuous". It's sick.

It has been proven that the companies abroad have absolutely no morals and see upcoming young ladies and young men as targets and “comfort items“. I believe her accounts completely. The company's statement sounds like a story made as an excuse. I mean, it doesn't make any sense that a company would not tell their artists important things in their career. Like how can you not tell them who are the people working for them? How did they introduce the MV producer? 'He will be editing your MV' and that's it? Nothing like 'he is mr. yoon from whatever production team, in charge of your MV'? And aren't MVs usually produced by a team outside the agencies?
Also, that excuse that they didn't tell the members about the fight and reprimanding the manager because "it is an unpleasant event" doesn't make any sense. Shouldn't they give the members security and assurance that they won't let anything like that happen again? That they are doing something to protect them? It just doesn't make sense at all

Saw the TV series hello my twenties 2 recently, they had a character and story arc about a disbanded idol grp (about how one of the members had to cope). It was sad to watch.
That's why you need an artists union and a min standards contracts imposed on the companies (like they have done for eg footballers in pro teams in Europe)

I feel sorry for all the poor girls to have suffered from a bad company. I think that all the members should all get together and file a law suit against the company. Plus they should call the police to investigate all these serious allegations.

I came back after watching their MVs. They have so much potential. I even love the names yellow bee and honey jar. It is sad knowing what happened to them. People who have done this to them are the worst. They ruin other people's dreams because of their selfishness.

This kind of exploitation of young attractive performers by their labels, management teams, producers, etc. is sadly quite common throughout the K-pop and other similar industries. In fact, it had been an issue among the entertainment industry for decades worldwide, whether it be music or acting. People who seek after game and riches will inevitably be taken advantage of those with the presumed power and influence to get them what they want. It’s disgusting and reprehensible no matter what country or industry it occurs in.
This is why so much of the American music industry has gone independent. I hope K-pop and other Asian industries have the opportunity and capability to do the same.
something similar but worse happened to jang jayeon. she was a side character in the drama boys over flowers and she went through so much she committed suicide because she couldn't handle it. she had written a letter talking about what she went through and how the company she was under forced her to sleep with other ceos and big figures if she wanted to act and take roles (I believe she mentioned the names of over 30 ceos) but someone attempted to burn that letter (I don't remember who) which is a crime because it can be considered arson (getting rid of evidence)
and because the people she was forced to entertain were all powerful and had a lot of money her case was closed after the investigation, I don't remember what the ceos' punishments were (if they were even punished) and it was only brought up again after another actress talked about it. at the time she witnessed jang jayeon being forced to entertain old men, but didn't speak up because she was threatened that if she said anything about it or testified as a witness of what jang jayeon went through, she wouldn't be able to act in any dramas.
The possibility that this could be happening to our faves right now without us knowing just makes me angry.
Actually, I remember that about 2 years ago their agency opened an online audition to find a new member for YellowBee on a website made mostly for foreigners hopeful to become idols

These remarks were disgusting, maybe these former staff were punished after the members left, but don’t you think someone would at least tell them? As well as the fact that the members were not paid and were further driven into debt with having to pay for themselves on multiple occasions, when the company should have been providing for them (I could understand if. It was for a personal thing but it wasn’t it was for an event)
All 10 of them need to comeback together as one, make a new group, sign with another proper company. OR make their own like Highlight did with AroundUs Ent.
