@@TunaNoKetchup Absolutely ridiculous comment lol electronics are off in this video. Any modern superbike with electronics turned on even to the most minimal amount will not let you go that hard on the brakes into a corner, one leg out with the bike already leaning over before the rear wheel is back on the ground. This alone should end the debate of "technology makes riders worse" theory, but some small minded individuals simply cannot comprehend the idea that modern electronics (consumer grade or race) actually help riders find limits safely.

I'll put it this way, to SKILLED riders technology is a TOOL but a CRUTCH and TRAINING WHEELS to you and 99.9% of 1000cc supersports riders. It's the only reason any of you MFers can even go near this 200+hp supersports and it's the only thing keeping ya'll alive.

Realistically, the r6 hasn't changed in 20 years. So, in a good condition, and tastefully prepared, as this one is... that bike is usefull as f.

Huge side wall flex on those tires. What PSI are they running?
Who knows but it's probably pretty low, maybe around 1.8bar on the rear
Gp riders wear michelins gp training slicks. Moto2 guys wear pirellis, and moto3 guys dunlop's from moto2 last year. The lowest pressure they go on the dunlop for example is 1.5 bar. But the whole point is that different tyre, different characterystics so each tyre runs it's own pressure to compensate the tyre's own structural carcass strenght. Pirellis are softer so they run higher on pressure. But the edge of the tyre is sharper so it looks like they're flexing the wall. Michelins are almost straight walls. But trust me, not a good idea at all to let it flex that much so it bends the wall. These guys know what they are doing

It is odd to see them on other brands.
They ride in plenty of different bikes. Each and every single one of them trains a particular area of the multiple riding skills necessary to ride at their level
@@fast_odin Usually if you ride for a given manufacturer you exclusively ride that brand. KTM doesn't make a superbike, so they have limited options.
When Ducati has a 450MX bike, Marquez will only be using one of those, no more CRF.
I have to wonder how much value riding a streetbike really is for these guys. But it does look cool.
Every single bike has it's own peculiaryties. So it really is usefull for them to ride in plenty of different scenarios, from ohvale, supermoto, flattrack, 600karting, 1000 big track etc. Also there is a point for this guys that, it's not about getting better in an specific area, but rather keeping the mucle memory, the focus on their minds and the awareness at the maximum level possible for when they hit the race
They can't ride the GP bikes except for races and scheduled practice days. The street bikes/superbikes take some handling when they are flat out so it's good aerobic / muscle memory exercise. They'll tell you it's definitely not the same as a GP bike, but any excuse to get on track & go fast. These guys would race lawn mowers if that's all they had :-)

What was that lean angle measured? His was tricep dragging. That had to have been a 65° lean or a 68°. Insane
Not really, that turn has a high profile kerb. In reality superbike might lean around 60° flat. Only Mgp with their tyres get to 64°. When they get to 65° they're not actually on top of the bike anymore, they may be pulling a save

Lets see them play with real riders the isle of man TT riders, oh wait the TT riders do not play. GP riders are good but TT riders are great and race in a real road race where GP riders refuse to compete due to the dangers. GP riders GP stands for Grand Premadonnas
