Hello guys thank you for checking out the video!!! i am by no means an expert on computer!! but i had so many issues with my first build that i kinda have an idea on how to fix stuff!! if you have any questions comment below and i hope this video helped you!!! I KNOW YOUR FRUSTATIONNNNNNNN !!
Broo..here's my specs to start
Ryzen 7 3700x
Msi x570 gaming edge wifi mobo
32gb corsair vengeance 3200mhz ddr4 ram (2x16)
Rtx 2080
Hyper 212 cpu cooler
1tb samsung evo ssd
Evga 650w fully modular gold plus psu
My pc has been fine..buult it earlier this year.im lucky if I get to play like 5 hours a week. And I just play fortnite..cpu temps are fine..only ran xmp profile so no overclocking.today I just went to turn on my pc and I got the dram ez debug light on..i tried unplugging everything. Repeated the gpu and the ram sticks and removed the cmos battery..but i still get the dram light and a black screen
@@Brian-dj3ru try removing one of the ram stick and out it on the 3rd slot and see if it boots up.
If it doesn't work turn it off and try it on different slots until its boots up
Also there's is a trick you can do
1st - turn on your computer
2nd - on the back where the power supply there's and on and off switch
When the computer is on!! Hold the power button and lip the switch off and on and let go of the power button, you gotta do thai real quick!!
If it works that way then your motherboard is giving you some problems!! Once you get to boot up update bios!!
@@Dominican3nito yeah one stick ended up working in the first slot..inguess the other stick died
@@Brian-dj3ru most likely or for some reason your motherboard stopped recognizing it so you gotta enter the bios and set your dram manually then add the other dram! If it doesn't boot then yes your ram stick must of died
Respect Man! My system: R7 3700 X, 16 GB RAM Kingston (2x8), GeForce 1660 S, MSI X570 gaming pro carbon WiFi. Problem - wasn’t displaying anything. First tried to switch add with another PC - nothing. Then cleared the bios (took out the battery from MB for 10 sec) + switched RAMs put them into each other places. Now it’s working. Oh and obviously checked all the cords and connected my monitor to another PC (made sure monitor worked well). Cords on places and in good condition
Aye im glad it worked out man! Computers can be so weird! The minimal thing can make them act ul!! Also thats a nice set up though !!
Thank you. If i didn't watch your video. I wouldn't have realized it was my cmos battery died. I had another battery here. Once i changed it. The pc worked
Glad to see it was an easy fix brother! Good luck and if anything lmk
FIXED...For me I my MSI pc was running fine last night then today when I got up and it didn't boot. I thought it was because i just installed a new M2 sata drive and just started using display port with the new monitor I got. This issue reminded me of those old days when you had a faulty floppy disc or usb drive in your pc and it wouldn't start until you removed it and then rebooted. After 3 hours of watching videos and cleaning my ram and switching cables and monitors without anything working, I noticed the only thing I left powered from last night was indeed my external usb drive. I unplugged my external usb and bam everything booted up fine! I think my pc turned off while the usb drive was still processing data or something. A lot of work for a simple fix which is usually the case with cars and computers. BTW it was white ez debug VGA led light that was on.
Ahh man!! Those things get loose so easily and its kinda hard to miss it when you think it's other components being faulty ! Also best thing is to use those display ports! They make everything look so smooooth!!
Glad everything is back and working ! If anything let me know I can try and help you
Oh my fcking god! Thank you man!! I was about to lose my mind! Thankfully i read your comment. Btw, after fixing it, the windows suggest to repair or delete all my apps but not the files. What did you do?
@@julianmolina1841 I may or may not have gotten that same message, it was so long ago, but I think it gives you three options right? Repair, delete, and keep files normal I think. Sorry I am not sure.
@@pierrebeneby4120 yeah yeah that's the message
Thank you for the video! 3 years later, still saving bacon.
I big thank you.. fixing the ram into some other slot worked for me and pc is up again
Got today this problem, while playing LoL, randomly, screen freezed out and i did turn off the computer. Trying to restart but monitor does not get signal. Then I proced to remove and clean GPU and Rams 2x8GB 3600mh on Asus tuf b550m. Then, when turning on, Dram orange light lights on. Now i dont know what to do, i build the pc 2 months ago, and its been working fine.
Try using only one RAM stick on the 3rd slot and see if that lets it boot up!
Thanks for making this... Almost same situation but I just got home from work, powered it on and solid white CPU ez-debug light. Unfortunately none of this worked and I'm left with it being either the mobo or the CPU. Gonna try to find another 10th gen Intel to test but not sure I'll be able to find one to use for free.
MSI Z490 mag tomahawk, 10900kf, Just installed the 3080ti (just to test, don't get to keep), 850w PSU.
Tried another PSU as well, no go...
I think my OC plus MSI's MCE setting may have fried the CPU partly (maybe) because my AIO crapped out while doing all the OC'ing and benchmarking (one does when they get their mitts on a 3080ti for the weekend.)
Anyway, thanks for making this. Even though it didn't solve the issue, it did allow for a couple hours of hope.
try new ram or shut off pc remove power cord for a minute then plug n turn onn
YOU SAVED MY PC...THANK YOU!!!!
i am glad it worked out man!!
It worked! thank you so much i was about to sell the old thing
ayee no rpoblem!! glad it worked!! also try to upgrade instead of selling the whole thing haha!! its cheaperrr
GUYS I FIXED IT , KEEP CHANGING UP YOUR RAM SLOTS IF YOUR HAD A WHITE LIGHT IN CPU
first time builder here. My motherboard has the dram light on. The fans, lights etc all work but I get a no signal from my monitor. Also. the USB ports on the case and motherboard don't send power to my peripherals.
If you look on your motherboard on the bottom right, there are pins that should be in their right spots in order for the USB port on top of the case to work! Try plugging them out and in
For your Ram! You wither have a shortage on your motherboard or your ram is defected
For Ram try putting 1 ram in and try to turn of the pc if i doesn't work choose the next slot, do this 1 by 1 and if it doesn't work then you wither have a bad ram or its a shortage
For the shortage its a lot of work but you will have to re assemble your pc and make sure that you have NO CABLES or screws touching your motherboard and use those Mother kard lifters so its not touching the case!!
I just ensemble my very first pc but it does not output monitor, keyboard nor mouse. Also there is a red light that says VRAM, I already changed slots but nothing.. what can you recommend?
I got the same stuff out of the blue today on my MSI X470 Gaming Plus mobo.. I have a NVidia RTX 2070 SUPER video card in it and it gives no beeps when inserted but a black screen. So I removed that video card and it gives the VGA light error and the 1x long and 2x short beeps (which is weird, because my mobo has an onboard video card).... Removing the battery/clear cmos button looks like doing nothing.. What could be the cause here? Nvidia card seems te be working (fans spinning)...? Help!!
Helped me with ram thanks dude!!!!
U r a fucken saviour....i fucken love u
Hey man, I had a similar problem like this. When I turn on my PC, the DRAM Light stays red the whole time. PC is working completely fine, ram doesn't seem to have any issues and seems to be running fine. My display turns on perfectly, peripherals are working fine, and my windows 10 operating system seems to be doing its job. The only problem is that the DRAM light stays red during the whole time while I am playing games etc. Don't know if this is normal or not. Do you think my motherboard requires a BIOS update in order for this to be fixed? As I said, everything on my computer works fine, just that the DRAM light stays on while my computer is running which worries me. I tried to do a CMOS reset and reseating the ram. DRAM light still stays on as a result, hopefully this BIOS update will help the light turn off, just worries me that the light is on when I'm playing games or doing other work etc.
So tested my gpu in other PC. Works! Cleaned the dust off the motherboard. Removed the battery, now I need to do all the other stuff will update this if it boots.
do you have any idea if the debug led that turned on is cpu?
Yes!! For the CPU check if your cpu is properly mounted and check for any bent pins!!
Check the cpu cable make sure its mounted and no missing or broken pins!!
Check that your cooling fan is working and the paste is not old and just completely dry

Also what are your specs?
Is there anyway I can use the hdmi that came built in until I get a new video card. My VGA led light is on 😿
Do you have a new motherboard and an old video card?
Questions: you are saying power cables of you PSU were the problem. But is not clear to me what's was your initial issue: red light on VGA led ( 3rd led)? This is my issue: stuci on 3rd led with red light, new components, but GPU fans are spinning, so can be PSU cable problem? Thanks R ( i try everything )
For me it was just the cable that was defected ! But the more I research it could vary from
1- Cmos reset
2- gpu not detecting power enough
3- motherboard not reading gpu correctly
4- motherboard has a short circuit
And many other random little things but in my other video I explain some toher troubleshooting that has helped other people solve their problems
Mine it seems it was only the bios. I decided to send the whole pc to service ( local shop ) to check it out. My MOBO is MSI Tomahawk B450 MAX, which should normally accept the Ryzen 3 ( I have a 3600 CPU), but I don't know why MSI did not put a functional BIOS on it. And another strange thing that service guy told me: it seems flashback procedure of MSI ( install bios without CPU ) is not working properly, you still need a 1st gen ryzen. For me, it was very strange as it was the second motherboard (the same model, first I returned it) from the same seller, and the first one start, then crash and then after I try to bios flashback it stuck on boot. I build PC's for my own and for my friends from already 20 years, but never saw so many troubleshooting ...
@@flrazvan thags really weird as you said that motherboard is very flexible and compatible it could of been the motherboard that came defected somehow! Because a simple cmoe flash could fix the problem
@@flrazvan also i have noticed a lot of people with the Flash Bios without CPU funtion being defected for a lot of motherboard not sure why they are coming like this from manufacturers!
Hey man. I am experiencing the same problem. I recently bought new parts for my pc so i tried to build it. First few days it was running smoothly. But I'm experiencing some bsod like system service exemption and critical process died. Then 5 days later after i built my computer, it unexpectedly turned off by itself. No signal to the mouse and monitor. But other parts are working so when i looked on the mobo, there is a white solid led light on the cpu. So i removed the cpu fan and the processor. Then i inserted them again. There was no white led light on the cpu. Instead it transferred in the ram so i removed the ram and inserted them again. There was no white light in ram but transferred to boot. So i clear out the ports and inserted them again. After that there was a signal on my monitor and mouse. But my problem is whenever i turn on my computer, The white light appears and after a few seconds it disappears in the ez debug led. Is that normal?

Glad i was able to help!!
In your last video what do you mean two seperate vga cables, I can't add on cables to my power supply
Meaning instead of having 1 cable going from the graphics card to the power supply you would have 2!
What power supply do you have and how many vga cable does it have attached ?
I have a b450 tomahawk max, and ryzen 2600, and the mobo lights turn red and the cpu led light turns on for 3-6 seconds then it changes to vga led light, and my gpu fans aren’t spinning, idk what the problem is.
Ahh you probably have a shortage somewhere bro! Best thing is to take everything apart and when you reassemble make sure no cables is touching the motherboard and use that motherboard lifters
Another thing could be the cpu thinking that its over-heating so change the paste !!
If not check your motherboard I've hear a couple people who have the tomahawk with similar problems if it is withing warrantee get a new one!
Also is this a pre-build or you build it ?
@@Dominican3nito I built it

First time builder here. I finished the build and everything powered on alright but no signal on monitor (Displayport). I readjusted the rams and then tried every mobo slot one stick at a time and it suddenly worked. I was so happy I even installed windows and then I decided to add the second stick again. Since then nothing ever worked for me. Everything powers on but no signal no matter where I put the sticks even if I try one at a time. Haven't tried reseting the cpu or anything else to be honest though. In my opinion it's a faulty motherboard. What do you think?
Ahh yes this problem usually happends with new motherboard you can do couple of things !!
1- Go into bios and update your motherboard board bios!!
2- do a Cmos Reset and install both dram on C and D slots to see if both work!
3- install 1 dram get into bios and manually set up your voltage to 1.5v then shut off pc and install both dram sticks on A & C
If none of this works then your motherboard is having problem recognize dram sticks or is just faulty!!

So I have just built my PC, everything is perfect and all the parts are working. However, when 2 rams are installed, the PC won't post and gives me a debug code 97. I then removed one of the rams and it posted, installed everything from drivers.. etc. the pc is working just fine, then I reinstalled the second ram, it won't post again. I switched the rams, they noth work as I tested them individually. Then I tried putting them in other slots, it posted with no issues, all of this using only one ram. But when I put the second, it just doesn't post and gives me the debug of 97 unfortunately.
So is there a fix for this?
The lights just alternate between RAM and CPU, long light in RAM and a short light in CPU. i just don know what to do
You have a short circuit !! Open the case and make sure nothing is touching the motherboard ! No cables nothing with metal!! Make sure the back plate of the motherboard is seated and nothing is touching it either !
@Klenzy then you probably have a faulty motherboard or cpu!! If you still have the warrantee then just change them for new ones!! I would change motherboard first since cpu are rarely faulty
@Klenzy okay! best bet is to make sure your chipset is compatible with the motherboard, Make sure Your gpu and your ram is seated properly also make sure cables such as your 24 pin and your 2x4 cpu power connector are seated properly
Just push the ram sticks in harder than ur pushing them in it worked for me 💯💯💯

It could possibly be that your mobo is defective!! Some mobo come with a problem where they won't recognize the graphics card and set off the vga light!!
Another problem could be the graphics card itself that is not working properly !!
1- try graphics card in your friends mobo and see if they work!
2- test mobo ... remove all dram and see if the dram debug comes on. If they don't then your mobo is jsut defected

Thank you
Makw sure you have the 8 pin ATX power connected to the board as well as the 24 pin power connector. Failure to do so means the cpu cannot draw enough power to operate properly Other things to check:-All connectors are connected, tight, and in the proper place.
Ram is in the proper slots for 2 stick configuration. This means both sticks on the 'A' channel, or both on the 'B' channel. Labels should be on the board slots for ID purposes. Also check your board's RAM compatibility list to make sure it's been tested on this board.
-CPU is seated firmly in the correct orientation and the heatsink fan has been plugged in.
-Reset the cmos jumper to restore the bios to default.
If all of this checks out ok:
Remove EVERYTHING but PSU, CPU, and ONE stick of ram and try to boot.
If you still see error LED's on the mobo, then one of your components is bad. Only swapping with known good components will track down the issue at this point.
If the previous worked:
Add the rest of the components (drive, GPU, etc) with a reboot after each to ensure proper functionality before adding the next.
If a problem arises in this step, you know which part is causing the problems and we can continue from there.
You can also be having faulty components ! Like the CPU, Ram or your SSD files where the window boot file stays might be corrupted
You can also be having those problems due to overheating! So change the thermal paste on your CPY and make sure your cooler is working properly

Hello, I'm Brazilian so I hope you understand my poor English, I'm having a problem with the VGA LED, I managed to make the computer turn on, but out of nowhere it loses the video, when it was on I tested it with furmark for hours, everything ok, but after staying I'll get back to the problem, today I removed the gpu and put it again, I call in time to arrive at the windows login and lose the video and when I turn the computer back on it gives the vga led, tomorrow I will test at a friend's house the GPU call there I have a problem with mobo right?
yes!! your motherboard might be having ah loading problem!! best thing you can do is do a cmos reset and go into bios and update your motherboard bios!!! then after the update Flash the bio again and it should start working!! if the problems persist then you might want to get a new motherboard
I've tried reseting my cmos, Moving graphics card, Changing RAM slots and still no post i want to fucking die
'
Then your motherboard is fried brother! Also try putting a new battery for that Cmos battery, it could be dead
I had this problem two weeks ago and I solved, the problem was the motherboard, i had to buy a new one.
my dram light is on... or not work my pc.. pllzzzzzzz help plzzz
Check each slot with your dram and see of it post !! Could possibly be that one of your dram is fried and need a new onee
Help me bro..my ez debug vga is light on white.no display.my vga shappire rx 570 and msi b450.could u solve it??please bro..thanks
You’re funny😁
😂😂 I try to be, I find myself more cringey than anything lmao but thankss
I need help, getting a cpu debug light, tried many troubleshooting methods, no results, specs- ryzen 5 3600xt, msi b550 gaming plus
have you tried a Q-Flash?? try to download it from the MSI website and flash your motherboard! also is this a new build ??
@@Dominican3nito yes it is a new build, I did try flashing the Bois, apparently that motherboard was dead on arrival, got a replacement and everything is Gucci now
@@hartejsingh2654 How to know if your motherboard is dead or not? My LED lights are working on my motherboard so and the case fans work, so I'm assuming that's not the issue?
@@SGK1206 I'm not really sure, the cpu light was on and it could've been the cpu or the motherboard, took the gamble on the mother cause it's packaging was a bit sketchy cause every part was still under the Amazon return window

Hi i was just upgrading to a ryzen 3 3100 then the cpu debug light is on and its solid white no flickering or anything i have been doing what youtube videos say to do but nothing has worked for me thanks if you can help me
Did fine the solution ?
my x570's ez debug is litting up dram, vga and boot except for my cpu.. what is wrong man God damn.. I removed the battery, did the jbat short circuit trick, removed and reseated everything, tried using just 1 stick of ram, reseat my cpu fan, re-do everything from scratch and the problem still persists.. It's a new build but I'm honestly quite disappointed
Did u find the solution ?
@@aldysyahputra6967 yes, i didnt plug in both M/B psu cables.
Hello i got asus x570 Strix gaming f...i try all solution ...i supposed is dead...
My pc was working perfectly fine until I woke up today and it had a red light on the vga debug led. I’ve tried everything But no success, do I need to buy the vga power adapter thing you have or should I buy a new motherboard?
Or do I buy a new power supply to give the gpu more power? It makes no sense how it was working perfectly fine yesterday and now it won’t even post. If you can help I’d appreciate it :)
Hey sorry for the late reply!!
I would try and get a new cable adapter since it's cheaper than buying a whole motherboard!!
The power supply is not it!! If your pc is turning on as correctly then it should be fine!!
If the cables dont work then try testing your graphics card somewhere else and see if that works if not the jts your motherboard
Also try clearing the Cmos and using 1 stick of RAM. Turn it off switch ram slot and try them one by one and see if that works
I have msi tomahawk max b450, my gpu light is on, and my fans are on, so is my cpu cooler, but when I turn it on the dram led is on, any ideas?
Yes!! Make sure cpu cable connected all the way! Check your power supply! Whats your power supply voltage?
Also make sure your dram are not defected !! Ita seems to be a power problem more than a Dram!
What are your spec?
Lechuga yes all cables are connected good, my psu is EVGA 600W bronze, the specs of build are amd ryzen 5 3600, 16gb 3200mhz lpx ram, b450 tomohawk max, nzxt h510, Gtx 1660 super. The cpu light turns on for 1-3 seconds and then the dram light turns on and stay like that. Could it be a cpu problem or ram? Because I checked the pins of cpu to make sure they are fine but they all are fine
@@juiceworld5491 okay then you might have a shortage somewhere! make sure that your motherboard is not touching your case! and use the lifters for that.
if the cpu is good, test your ram in different slots and if the problem persist then you either have a shortage or the ram stick dont work properly....
this might be a hustle but taking everything off the case and putting it back on might be your saving grace
Lechuga thank you so much bro, I took everything off for case and rebuilt it, and now it works, no dram light no cpu light. Seriously I can’t thank you enough.
You can use whichever pcix slot you want, but usually only slot 1 is 16x. Bad information dude. Keep working on learning more maybe before you make youtube videos.
mine goes from cpu to vga help me pls
Am getting a white led on vga tried everything anyone a little help?
Ah you are probably getting some type of reading problems just reset Bios and update your graphics card!
@@Dominican3nito tried reseting them still not working!
WTF WHEN YOU SAY YOUR PC BLUESCREEN AND YOU CRY MY PC GIVE ME A BLUESCREEN
Hey buddy, I've been having a problem over the course of the last 7 months, my PC wouldn't post and the CPU_led stays on, it happened first in march for a couple of days, then again in June, September and lastly yesterday. Every time it would be solved differently, like once it worked when I took the motherboard out of the case, another when I reset the CMOS. When it happens again, none of the previous solutions work, and now I'm stuck and have no idea what to do. Please note that the thermal paste is old and dried out but when it was working until two days ago the thermals were pretty alright for a stock cooler. Could this be my problem?
This is happening to me aswell, I'm at the point where I'm just gonna replace my motherboard. Some people said the the PSU is the problem but not for me since I swapped 3 times with left over psu's. Swap out the board man and keep the receipt so of that doesn't do it you can take it back!! Tell me how it goes if you do it because I need to save up for me to do that
@Muhammad HTM
@Dmonator250
it can't be the PSU because I just bought it 2 months ago.
as for the motherboard I can't return it cause it's almost 5 years old so it's way past the warranty. If the motherboard is broken why did it work all those times?! But my real problem is that I'm a student and can't afford a new system right now and the motherboard is LGA 1150 so most certainly there won't be any new models out there and buying a used one would be a huge gamble cause it can die on me shortly. Sorry for dumping my frustration on you but I'm really exhausted at this point.
@@mohamedhtm2583 I can't tell you why it's like that man, people keep telling me the samething and I don't exactly have the money like that aswell. But I'd prefer saying it's the motherboard than other components
@@Yaowkoa yeah man it seems that way. I'll take it tomorrow for testing and see what happens. thanks BTW!
oh my…….
How can I fix the vga ahhh
Ayo you funny as shit but everything you said is true
My DRAM led on my mobo is on. Any ideas
Yes!! Try putting one Ram at the time until it lets you boot up!!
Turn off pc, take dram out. Put it back on a different slot and boot up again if it doesn't work try on a different slot!!
If the system boot up go to Bios, advance settings, save, reset and quit!! Then take RAM and bios battery out for 20 seconds, put ram in first and then the battery !! It should start working normally!!
If it doesn't boot up then one or all your ram stocks are defected and should get a new one !!
