You blame him? Nothing, but *nothing* sounds like a 4-rotor.
I've heard a P51 mustang scream down for a low pass at 400mph.
A 4-rotor is at least that sexy.

Maybe it wasnt i dropped but the exorbitant costs and time it takes just to maintain that beast. It really is an extreme amount when everything is custom made.

@@cameronw1641 Air shift system alone is more then most people make in a year.... Same with the clutch an most other major parts. They dont just have all this shit sitting on shelves. Maybe more parts then they used to but you dont just go build a 4 rotor. If it was so easy there would be thousands not a handful

Insane amount of time and money put into it. Constant issues, barely any driving time on it, practically nothing at full blast. Car is also pretty much undriveable: unbearable noise, very very harsh ride, constant jerking at cruising RPMs, and these are only the things even us viewers can see. Aside from a Stockholm syndrome type attachment to it I don't think he'll miss the stress at all in the long term.
It is a very unique car and it sounds insane, but I would never ever own it.

I grew up a Honda fanatic. Drove an S2000 for the first time back in 2002, and promptly decided then and there that it was my dream car - but I was young and broke. I worked my way up & got better jobs, saving along the way. Finally, in 2008 I bought my perfect example. It was white with the red/black interior. I modified that car in a way that felt perfect to me over the next 13 years, slowly but surely (although nowhere near as modified as David's car).
In January, I sold the car. It was time.
All that to say, I felt this video. Thank you for sharing all the progress over the years. It's been a joy to watch it all come together, and you can feel the passion come through every video. I can't wait to see what's next.

I'll probably get a lot of heat for this. But as much as I love the formula 7, it was a weapon of mass destruction built for a war that never happened. Never got to see the remarkable braking system glowing red, diff/tranny coolers putting in work to keep temps down, ect. I completely understand your reasoning for selling it, once that much time and money goes into R&D flogging something with no remorse becomes a terrifying experience for the proprietor. Never been so happy and equally sad that Mazzei sold his unicorn. I am at peace with his decision to sell as the new owner clearly knows the passion involved in this project and 100% respects the build and attention to detail along the way. Damn she is a beauty!

Props to George if he maintains the Mazzei branding and everything. Same car, maybe just retuned/modded, but 100% same soul, and competing on tracks I hope!
