Thank you for making this so simple for me. I am recently widowed and have never had to perform vehicle maintenance on my truck. You've saved me a lot of money by showing me how to handle a simple job that a mechanic would have charged me a lot to do.
@@hectormelchor8252 that’s funny!! Take 5 wanted $30 to change- one windshield wiper.. I mistakenly bought a straight one instead of a curved one for the driver side 🤯🤯 Rip off much??
Those simple things you explained make it easier for the rest of us to not even have to question it. Don't pay attention to the rocket scientist who commented earlier. Great job on the video and thank you. 👍✌️
That was the easy method I saw another video where the owner took off the screws, side panel, glove box, and even the door rubber installation a bit. Thanks again for your help. 😊
So simple!! Yesterday, I picked up a 2019 Frontier from my neighbor.. it had only 11,900 miles. He is very old and never really drove it much at all. It was serviced by Nissan at recently so at 15k I will be changing oil, and cabin filter myself. This was very helpful.
Thanks for making this video. I tried this the other day, and was thinking I'm going to break something getting to the filters, so gave up on what should be a very simple thing. I broke the tab today like you mentioned was a high probability, worked just fine. If tab completely breaks off next time, duct tape.🙂
Howdy! Thanks for your video! It reminded me of how to change the cabin filter, in my "new, ol' truck" (2006 Frontier). It'd been a while. The old filter, thankfully, wasn't that dirty.
@@jackmealor8455 hello I looked up my filter in the auto zone book at store. I can edit later with the exact stp filter I bought. The air feels good but I actually had a bad fan assembly and stuck thermostat. (Computer was shutting off my a/c for engine over heat Long story. ). The dealer wanted 70 dollars to change the cabin filter! I saved some $$$
Thank you. We bought our 2009 Suzuki Equator pick up brand new. I just open to replace the cabin air filter but I discovered it never had two in. I tried to put the new filters in and it won't go in after the first one. Does it means that the company make them mistake?
Thank you for this video, I could not find “cabin filter” in my owners manual index so I went straight to this video. Poor design on the tab, why is it so brittle?
I have an issue inside where the cabin filters go the activator that looks like it brings the event from the dashboard down to your feet the activator arm is broken and keeps clicking when you try to use it. Anyone know if that's his if that part's able to be pulled out or if it's a whole heater core replacement I have to do?
I pissed off the Service Techs At my Nissan dealer when I laughed out loud in front of other customers when they recommended I change my cabin filter at 15k miles for "only $139". I said "NO...I think I can handle the $20 spend online, and 15 minutes of my own time." What a joke the stealerships are.
You could probably make your own filter: buy a cheap furnace filter, cut it up and jury-rig it to work. Sure, you might have to change it more frequently, but it's cheap cheap cheap!

Mechanics barely charge anything for an air filter replacement

Thanks for the vid. I couldn't get the plastic cover off till I watched your demo. Appreciate it! 🇨🇦

I am so glad i bought this pick-up dude, it's so easy to work on. The dealer wants to buy it back lol.

This is the best how to do video for this job I've ever seen thank you

Very clear illustration, thank you. Keep it up
Thanks. I found your video very helpful. It was easy and made a great difference in the air in my truck. Thanks again!

Thank you for a very good video. You've made this task a lot easier for me.
Spot on, thanks, instructions were exact and my filters were dirty, trying to go down the list and get this a/c from cycling on and off randomly
Did you buy the exact filter he did? I bought those 1813P’s and they will not fit for anything. Seemingly like 2 inches too wide

No reason to expect that Suzuki and Nissan would do it the same way.
Very helpful! Thank you!!
If the tab breaks off, could you use a bolt in the old location to hold it closed?
Thank you for sharing 👍👍. I have a 2017
Was your fuse block in the road like my 2017 is?

Are you certain about the air flow direction; I watched another video and they stated the arrows should be pointed up...just want to clarify. Thanks.
Thank you! Very helpful
Solid tutorial. Thank you
Thanks for posting this video!, I send a like too.
Thanks that's helpful
Perfect explanation, thanks!
Just Change all the Oil Gear cases (3) Been 23.000 miles since I did my Cabin Air Filter again.

Gracias buena ayuda desde PR💪💯
Contento de ayudar!
Good stuff. Thanks 👍
With that tab broken, how can you be sure you have a good seal on the compartment? It looks as if it was slightly open.
I use a zip tie now that mine is broken.
The 1813P I bought did not fit the cabin at all. I’m so lost
Good video. Mine is a k & n filter and it was really hard to get the first one out. Did you reattach the cord?
I actually didn’t detach the cord. I know a lot of people do. But I had enough room with the cord attached. How do you like the k&n filter?
@@DIYMechanic57 I like the K&n filter. It’s nice and sturdy and you can reuse. Just don’t over oil it
I watched your video on mute and broke the clasp. Any hacks? I’ve secured it with electrical take for the time being.
Can you put a screw into the hole provided like the pre 2009 models?
Thank you so much!!
Thanks.
Thank you so much
Nice job…..clear….
Not so easy on my 2017 frontier The fuse block is in the road.
Thanks
Damn mine didn’t had any air filter most likely
Domo Arigato Sensei! Japanese Truck now good.
It's super awkward for a right handed smal small hand person to get the cover of filter off.

Lol they wanted to charge me $200 to do this. Unbelievable
That’s crazy. Definitely not $200 worth of work to do this.
Jesus christ! I paid to have these changed at a dealer. I wanna shut myself!
your making this seem like its a NASA project just yank them out and replace them
Most NASA engineers could not install a cabin air filter
