Hey, FastFix! We appreciate you using one of Microgard's filters in your instructional video! We represent O’Reilly as their filter manufacturer for their Microgard cabin air filter products. We take pride in the products and services we bring to them. We appreciate your feedback on their product, and we would like to point out a few things about the video: The filter shown in your video from Microgard is their particulate filter, not their HEPA filter. Microgard’s HEPA filters are packaged in a green box with “HEPA” marked on the front of the packaging. Additionally, the material of the HEPA filters features a gray and white side and 5 layers of filtration. The OEM filter you replaced isn't a carbon-infused filter. Rather, the gray appearance in the old filter is due to the accumulation of dust and other particles that have been filtered out before it enters the cabin. Our cabin filters have been tested in an independent testing facility following ISO's cabin filter standards to ensure that you get quality filtration with our products. Our filters are manufactured in ISO-certified cabin filter facilities for quality assurance. The Microgard filter you had in the video is a USA-made filter. We take pride in the fact that all of our HEPA cabin air filters as well as 90% of our particulate and carbon filters are made in the USA. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Hello and thanks for writing me regarding the Microgard Cabin Air Filter used in this video. After reviewing the footage, I absolutely agree with you: This is not a HEPA filter as stated in the video. Remembering back to this video, I recall the parts guy being confused at the two different types and I think he gave me the incorrect filter. I should have realized that when installing, but you'd be surprised how these things get past you when creating videos. I will pin your comment to the top of this video and I'll also let viewers know this is not a HEPA filter via the Description. Unfortunately, RUclips doesn't allow me to edit existing videos in order for me to insert text alerting viewers to the mischaracterization of the filter, however I'll do some research to see if there's a way for me to edit. Accuracy is very important to me and I appreciate you taking the time to bring this to my attention. Have a fantastic day!
Thanks for a good instructional Video ! Not an easy job- stupid placement of a cabin air filter by Nissan !!! Your video was extremely helpful - Thanks
Thank you for the helpful hints. It really helped to bow the edge of the upper corner when sliding it in. For me, the most difficult part was getting the tab to move to get the cover off. It was stuck. Finally, I grabbed a pair of pliers and gave it a good yank. It came off! You were right that it is a job in cramped quarters, but thanks to your video. I did it!
Thansk so much for the video! Your video is so great to inform us that we don't have to detach any other parts to replace the filter. Some other videos tell me to deinstall the passenger cabinet. I followed your instruction and replaced my Murano cabin air filter successfully. I spent quite some time to install back the cover. Finally I found out that some part of the filter was not all inside the socket. I could not see the place so I had to use fingers to touch and feel. Once the filter is completely inside the box, then installing the cover was easy. Sweated a lot but worth it.
Thank you so much! I ordered my cabin filter and was able to save about 50 bucks. I couldn't put it back in easily. I needed help, but even my brother in law had to see your video to figure where it was placed. Again and again much appreciation 🙂
You’re welcome! I know, it’s never as easy as it looks and even more challenging because of the limited space and visibility. Glad you got it done and saved $$$ 👍
Great video. I went to do this on my car and the tab to lift up on to remove the plastic cover snapped off with no force at all! I had to get a small flathead screwdriver to pry into the spot and force what remained of the tab up. It took a considerable amount of force to get it to pop out but it eventually did. Putting it back after also took all my might with the screw driver to get it to pop back into place. Was a fun time. Lol
Hahahaha, yes it’s always a lot of fun! I was surprised how “easy” it was in my situation, then hearing the horror stories of others…maybe I got lucky and next time will be a PIA. Glad this video helped and enjoy the clean cabin air!
My wife brought her Murano in for an oil change. They told her the cabin filter needed to be changed for $60, she declined, said we could do it ourselves. By we, she meant me. Having changed it before, I knew It would have been the best $60 I spent...
Used this video to replace the cabin filter on a 2016. If you are able to lay on your back and angle your head in that corner, it's a lot easier to see what you're working with. Removing the filter and replacing it was easy enough. But putting on the cap was annoying. The upper end of the cap has a hard slanted tab, what he doesn't mention is that the cap has two rectangle recesses, on either side of that slanted tab. If you are able to look straight up in that corner you will see two tabs which stick out. Right there is the trick to sealing up the filter housing. As those tabs slide right into those rectangular holes on the cap itself. Use a small enough angle to snag those tabs on the cap then apply even pressure up until you could clasp the bottom into place. Double check and it's perfectly sealed up. Knowing that makes it so much easier. With that being said, if you have back issues or neck issues, don't try what I did, as it is an awkward position and will put strain on you. Also the space in the passenger area can be cramped, use a towel or pad if you lay on your back. Use your phone camera to take a video, if you can't maneuver in such a place, remember it's a tool as well, this can help to get a visual of the cramped space you are working with. Happy DIYing.
Haha, yeah it would be easier if the seat were removed, but I’m bendy enough to make it happen this way. If you’re not the bendy type, no shame in having the dealer do it.
My dealer is charging $75 with a “coupon” to do this which is why I’m here. I watched several videos and this was the best. Still not sure I have enough patience to do it though.
Thanks for the video. I rate it a difficulty of 4 out of 5 to get the filter out and a 1 out of 5 to get the new one in. (Don't try if.ypu have a.bad back..lol). In any case, you directions were accurate.
I'm thinking a Nissan engineer got smoked by a mechanic one day, and this is his way of getting back at all mechanics. Think how easy changing cabin filters is in most other vehicles, then try this one. For me, it's actually harder to get the old one out, particularly if it's a very stiff charcoal impregnated filter. You will end up with scraped fingers getting the old one out. And the old filter will be wrecked. I use a small 6" pick with a right angle to pull the old filter out about 1/4". Then use needle-nose pliers to pull it out more until I can grab it with my fingers. Getting the new one in is also difficult. I often end up with a slight fold in the right side, but there's no real way of straightening that out without removing (and probably wrecking) the new filter. In an otherwise stellar vehicle, you wonder what manager looked at the cabin filter replacement procedures and said, "Yes, this is exactly what we need."
🤣🤣🤣 exactly right! If I go conspiracy on this one, I’d say they didn’t take the time to make it easy and therefore this filter change is “best done” by a service professional who will charge $50 labor or more. 🤦♂️
great video, showed me exactly what i needed to know. The end was slightly confusing, talking about arrow placement being facing you. Maybe that is correct for this job, but i think arrow placement should always be oriented such that the arrows point in the direction of windflow.
Hello. I’ve double checked this and all my research says aim the filter at the passengers or toward the rear of the vehicle. I also assume this orientation was in the direction of airflow on the Murano and agree with you that that’s generally the way the arrows go. Thanks for the comment 👍
This video gave me PTSD as it reminded me of the time my Ch-47 had to make an emergency landing at Ft Brag. One of the hydraulic lines broke and it was accessed by a tiny out of the way hatch, and the fittings were just out of reach. Had to have a Blackhawk fly from Ft. Eustis Va. to bring me a tool to reach the broken line. Glad I watched this video, my local dealer told me the glove box had to be removed for this filter to be removed. They're not honest and I stopped letting them service the vehicle as they don't follow Nissans service guidelines.
Yikes man, that sounds unnerving. I live next to an airport that does a lot of military training exercises. We see Ch-47s regularly. They are awesome machines. Probably not so great when a hydraulic line breaks. Yikes. Yeah man, the dealer said the same thing here and quoted us a few hundred dollars... ridiculous. Thanks for the comment!
Awesome video! Bought the filters online and never imagined it would be this tricky. I'll give it a shot but only with a tentative appt. at the dealer :) Cheers man. Thanks.
Muy buen video me sirvió mucho en el derlers me querían cobrar 117 dólares al mirar este video yo lo hise solo gaste 16 dólares que cuesta el flltro gracias por el video me sirvió mucho
Hello. I do t speak Spanish and youtube doesn’t let me translate your comment. From what I can tell, you’re saying the video saved you money. Glad to hear that! I appreciate the comment. Thanks!
Thanks for the video it was helpful. But, nothing about this was easy. Getting filter out, putting the filter back and getting the cover back on. Whomever created this design hopefully no longer has a job.
Good job but the cover was not fully in place at the end. I could tell that the top was still loose because I'm having the same issue with mine. If the top is secure then it is very hard to snap the clip back in place at the bottom.
What did you end up doing? I just replaced the filter in my 2015 murano and am having the same issue with the cover. I am afraid to drive it not fully in place at the top. 😊
@@kathyt1506 I was able to get the top secure but then the bottom wouldn't snap into place no matter how hard I pushed. I wound up using a flathead screwdriver to push it and it finally went in.
Bought the sevice package with our 2018 Murano. Dealer has been urging my wife to have the cabin filter replaced again. Most of 100 bucks at the dealer. I investigated today. Found the access cover was not engaged at the top. So happens I left the vehicle running and the blower was running. Could hear sound change when I moved the access cover, it still was latched on the bottom. Got the cover unlatched and pulled the filter, got a part number and knocked some debris from it while I had it out. Think I experienced the same issue as the service Technician that had changed it previously. I was not able to engage the upper portion of the cover and get the lower catch engaged!! Its like the fixed portion of the catch is not positioned correctly?? I got the upper end of the cover engaged, but am not able to ge the lower catch to snap in place!! Used foil tape like HVAC contractors use to hold the bottom in??
Your problem is common. In fact, after reading all these comments I’m not certain if mine is 100% connected. It’s been doing fine since I changed it. You idea will prob work. As long as it’s not making noise and functioning properly, out of sight, out of mind.
I know this is an old video but THANK YOU! I look like I just came back from war in the hottest place on earth but that filter is in!! Edit: Oh yeah and my extremely dirty filter that’s been in probably over 3 years was backwards. 😒 Air flow totally going the wrong way.
Hello. I laughed out loud when I read your comment! The install is no joke and I'm sure you looked like you had fought a battle! I think I got lucky somehow... Well, I'm glad you got it done :) Thanks for the comment!
I followed your instructions and found them very helpful. The problem that I had was when I pushed my Fram filter in and try to straighten it out I guess I pushed it too far in and it fell forward and appeared to have locked in there. I tried to move it back to the position it should have been in according to your video and when I have changed this filter before but did not have any luck. Any suggestions on how to get the filter that is 24 forward out or into the proper position?
I don’t understand what you mean by “24 forward” but if you pushed it too far, you’ll have to strongarm it back out of there. May ruin it in the process, but that’s probably the easiest way.
Thanks for the videos! I have been changing my oil now for the last three years and have saved a lot of money. The link for the cabin filter seems to not be working for me. Do you know the name or sku of the item?
Hello! Hmm, if the link isn’t working, the web address must have changed. I don’t know the sku of the Nissan filter unfortunately. Try searching “Nissan in-cabin air filter” and that should get you pointed in the right direction. Best of luck!
Got a premium, tight fitting filter for mine. Could not get it started, used a little Dry lube (not graphite) on the leading edge and instantly popped in. Hope this helps somebody.
Z I just bought an 09 Murano S. Do you have a video of the left CV axle replacement or do you have plans on doing one? Thank you from a new subscriber.
I was under the impression that the HEPA filters are harder on the blowers and the filter slows air flow dramatically. Was this the case? I’ll stick to OEM
I can’t get the compartment door hooked at the top, just the bottom. It is ok to drive it like that? I have tried over and over again. Impossible to see what I am doing! 😢
Hello. The hooks at the top are the hardest to lock into place. Someone in the comments had a solution, but I haven't tried it yet. Maybe take a look at the comments and see if there's a helpful tip. For whatever reason, it just worked for me. I was surprised to see how many had problems with the hooks and install, but clearly it's a thing. Sorry I couldn't help much with your question.
@@andresfernandez6953 I was putting it in correctly but still can’t latch the top. I have been driving it that way for a couple months with no problems. Really a bad design.
This is helpful, however, I disagree that it is very easy. In your video you actually do not complete the hardest part, namely getting the cover back on properly. You snap in the bottom tab, however, you did not engage the upper hook at the top of the cover. I suspect the cover eventually fell off. Any tips on how to engage the top hook in this very tight space would be greatly appreciated.
Hmm, my cover is in place and did not fall off. It’s my wife’s car and she would’ve said something. I’ll have to double check the top hook and get back to you, but since the time I did the filter change, all is well with it.
You’ll know when the hook on top is engaged, because everything fits tightly. But then I had to use a flat screwdriver to get the bottom clip to engage; I could not do it with just my thumb/fingers.
@@tunafish7451 So it's not just me finding it difficult to get the cover back on. I can't get the top to lock into whatever it needs to lock into. I came back in to check this video and it does look like the top is loose when he locks the bottom. You can see it lean out when he says "all good".
Hi Jason, I have a 2020 Murano and plan to keep it for a long time. I understand that changing the CVT fluid and coolant are super important in this vehicle. Any plans to offer these??????
Hey there. Nice! 2020 Muranos are awesome. I’d say yes, I’ll probably do a video like that when the time comes. I usually video all maintenance I do on this vehicle. Thanks for the question!
Do you know the life of CVT Fluid? My Wife's 2011 Murano has been a champ for the year we have owned it. Ive changed oil and rotated tires 3 times. Ive changed cabin filter twice. I have changed all wiper blades once. But i never thought of the CVT fluid. It still runs amazing with no lights on the dash. Just wondering for when I would need to do it.
@@GØÄT_MÄN_0526 The service manager at the local Nissan dealer told me every 3 years or 36k miles, which ever comes first. Here's why: The V6 in the Murano makes lots of power and all that power can make the CVT work harder and hotter. The water pump in the V6 is buried deep within the engine, replacement is labor intensive. Fresh coolant keeps bearings and seals clean and properly lubricated.
@@GØÄT_MÄN_0526 hello. The life of the fluid depends on how the vehicle is driven, environmental factors, etc... it’s a good idea to have it checked and tested every 30k. That doesn’t mean change it necessarily, but testing the deterioration will give you an idea of when/if it needs changed. The thing to do is to take it to the dealer. I know it sucks, but they’re the best place to have this done. You can do it yourself, but call a dealer first and determine if doing it yourself will have negative effects on your warranty should you have one. Thanks for the question!
Another of Nissan’s ways of showing owners you do not matter at all after you sign on. This cabin filter is definitely the stupidest labor investment in the history of car maintenance.
I’ve gotten this sentiment from several viewers….the filters are ridiculous, but if you can believe not the worst I’ve done. The worst for me was a 1999 GMC truck. Took nearly two hours and a lot of disassembly. 👎
Hello. Shoot, sorry to hear that. I haven’t encountered that problem, so my apologies that I don’t have a solution for you. I’d try and make some sort of hooking device and snag it out. Maybe with a clothes hanger or similar. Best of luck!
Thanks. Would not have figuered it out on my own. But it was NOT easy. I’d give it a 4/5. You have to “seat” the filter once you get it in. It’s not a matter of simply slidinng it in. Which means unseating it to remove, which was a bitch. Had to use hemostats to get ahold of it, then pretty much destroyed it pulling it out. Then getting the retaining clip back on was also a bitch. Would have been a lot easier for a child with child sized hands.
Nissan really fell low with this kind of design and accessibility of cabin filter. Surprise how company allow that stupid design for cabin filter, which need to be replaced once a year. You have to smoosh it before insert. wau. way to go Nissan.
Can’t disagree…although the worst one I’ve ever done was a 1999 GMC Sierra 4x4. It involved the removal of several large & small console pieces and about 2hrs of work.
Hello. Make sure the filter is all the way in the case. Sometimes that can cause your problem. The other reason is that it’s just difficult to get it right. Keep messing with it and try different angles, etc… I got lucky with mine 🍀
Incomplete advice ? I guess some more care is needed for better car care. How do you know all the debris gets removed and the drain is not clogged ? Just replacing the filter is only 1/2 the job done. SNOW JOB. Remove glove compartment for proper access first ? Get vacuum in there with a 1/2 inch somewhat rigid plastic air line 30-40" long, tip cut in a 45deg angle to suck up the debris. Go in and out some debris will plug the tip. Tons of leaves get stuck there. I removed 1-3 square inches of leaves and crap. Watch out to not scratch the evap fins doing it. Just vacuum the bottom drain tray of the cabin filter frame, remove the bottom drain hose and put a rag or cup under the drain spout, squirt some soapy water inside the compartment and see what comes out, also push some water down the pipe to see if it is dripping out under the car. Now your compartment is clean and now one can attempt to install the cabin filter. You think I'm crazy - you are right but see for yourself. Because it is in such a confined space put your cell phone camera there and check on your pictures for yourselves. What a nice Murano ride - and such a hideous dealer money maker ugrrrrrr.teeth grinding... design, eh. For a Fresher Breath - and a prosit - your Shao Mig
Thank you Nissan and they brilliant engineers for this fabulous design. They could steel design from Honda or Toyota if they could not come up with better design themself. Shame on Nissan.
I think I would charge a hefty amount of $$$ to change these if I ran a shop. At least enough to cover Physical Therapy, Chiropractor and massages after contortions required to change such a simple item 😂😂😂
I think this was a pretty bad design. Did this for my sister's second Nissan and I will tell her to stick with Toyota or Honda going forward. These Nissan's always have sub par design IMO Considering this has to be on a regular basic I would consider it closer to 3 out of 5 for difficulty. My hand is all scratched up and I can't even tell if it went in correctly cause it needs to be jammed in so badly...
I've done my wife's Lexus many times. It takes less than five minutes. The hardest thing about changing the cabin filter is the bitching I get about messing up the junk in her glove box.

I'll give it a shot but only with a tentative appt. at the dealer :)
Cheers man. Thanks.
Haha, not a bad plan! You’ll save money buying the part online, so the dealer hopefully won’t be too bad should you need them. Best of luck!
Much better than other sites, very nicely done!
I appreciate that. Thank you! Glad this helped 👍
Thanks!
broo😂😂 “yeah where gonna start with this leading edge”
*body slams the air filter in*
i like your style 😂
😂🤣😂 you’re not wrong my friend!
llevo 2 días buscando ese bendito filtro😮
It’s a pain… I got lucky I guess. I’m afraid to change it again. Haha
Thanks for the video it was helpful. But, nothing about this was easy. Getting filter out, putting the filter back and getting the cover back on. Whomever created this design hopefully no longer has a job.
Yup, kind of sounds like I got lucky. Have heard other say it’s not as simple as it looks.
Any follow-up on how that replacement looked after 6-9 months?
Hello. The filter looked much better, but remember the old one hadn’t been changed in 50k or so.
Hello. Interesting, I must have overlooked that. I'm going to check it right now.
I didn't notice: Did you pull the glove box out or the tunnel side piece?
It’s been a while since I’ve don’t this, but I don’t believe you need to remove any thing. Just the plastic lid that houses the filter.
May ruin it in the process, but that’s probably the easiest way.
thank you man for your job)👍
Hello. Not a problem at all! Glad this was helpful and thanks for commenting!
Thank you for this!
You’re welcome!
Good job explaining🤔
Thanks for the help
Any time!
Oh... Thanks for the video. your cool..
No worries my friend! 👍👍👍
Z
I just bought an 09 Murano S. Do you have a video of the left CV axle replacement or do you have plans on doing one? Thank you from a new subscriber.
Try the carbon filter type..traps odors and its less flimsy
Nice 👍
I was under the impression that the HEPA filters are harder on the blowers and the filter slows air flow dramatically. Was this the case? I’ll stick to OEM
I have not found that to be true. Most cars come equipped with Hepa and the HVAC systems are designed around that 👍
I can’t get the compartment door hooked at the top, just the bottom.
Try flipping the cover around. I struggled for a while cause I realized I was putting it on backwards box side out. The box side should be in.
@@andresfernandez6953 I was putting it in correctly but still can’t latch the top. I have been driving it that way for a couple months with no problems. Really a bad design.
Thank you ❤️
You bet!
Thank you very much 😊
You’re welcome!
Mordern car basic maintenance are now advanced car projects

Great 👍🏽 thanks

Hi Jason, I have a 2020 Murano and plan to keep it for a long time. I understand that changing the CVT fluid and
coolant are super important in this vehicle.
Fresh coolant keeps bearings and seals
clean and properly lubricated.

I used the WIX it is thicker than the micro guard feels good. Only bad part is made in china
Good stuff comes from China too, but I like made in the USA when I can as it sounds you do too. Thanks for the comment!
My filter door doesn’t stay it keeps coming out when I’m driving
Hello. The cover is tricky to attach. Hardest part of the install.
@@FastFixRUclips any tips on how to make it stay ?
Another of Nissan’s ways of showing owners you do not matter at all after you sign on. This cabin filter is definitely the stupidest labor investment in the history of car maintenance.
I’ve gotten this sentiment from several viewers….the filters are ridiculous, but if you can believe not the worst I’ve done. The worst for me was a 1999 GMC truck. Took nearly two hours and a lot of disassembly. 👎
It ended up pushing deeper in and now I can't get it at all.
Hello. Shoot, sorry to hear that. I haven’t encountered that problem, so my apologies that I don’t have a solution for you. I’d try and make some sort of hooking device and snag it out. Maybe with a clothes hanger or similar. Best of luck!
@@FastFixRUclips I'm sure it was my fault. I've got these big sausage fingers. 🤣I'm going to call the dealer on the AM. Thanks for making the video.
Oh my God! This is a lot of work for a simple cabin filter change! I give 0 to Nissan.
I agree! It’s a bit ridiculous, but unfortunately, it’s the only way.
FYI you have to remove the glove box to get to be able to remove the access door to the cabin air filter on a 2011 Nissan Murano.
Good info! Thanks for posting 👍
I can’t get that black cover back on for the life of me!
I know, it’s a pain. I wish I could give you a pro tip, but it’s just a terrible design and tough change….
Ty!!
You’re welcome!
This air filter is just like everything else Nissan related. Dumb AF. Thanks for the video though. Big help
🤣🤣🤣 no lie! You’re welcome 👍
First, awesome RUclips handle. Second, yeah having small / skinny hands it a big plus. You practically have to be a contortionist to make this “easy.”
😂😂😂 getting the clip back onnnnnn OMG I'm dying I hate that clip
Good video but changing this filter totally sucks! We got the filter in but cannot get the closure back on
I totally hear you…I think I got lucky. Others reporting issues with getting the cover plate back on. Boo Nissan boo!
Beautiful vehicle
Older model ( 2009-…….must remove passenger side carpet to see a filter location
Almost easier to replace engine parts than the in-cabin air filter 🤣
I can't get my clip back on 🤣😣🤣😣🤣 help
Hello. Make sure the filter is all the way in the case. Sometimes that can cause your problem. The other reason is that it’s just difficult to get it right. Keep messing with it and try different angles, etc… I got lucky with mine 🍀
The arrows point towards the front of the car.
Incorrect. The arrows point toward the occupants in the vehicle or toward the rear of the vehicle.
You said difficulty level 1 out of 5... I believe it's higher than that...
I think I got lucky… we’ll see what happens next time.
Interesting! I’ll give that a look next time 👍
@@FastFixRUclips You should. I would like to know how you did that without removing the glove box.
Gotta be an easy way for this
Hello. I wish there was... I just got lucky I think. Others have problems time and time again. I'm not looking forward to changing it, lol.
Whoever designed that to be there is a B@#%*! Rhymes with witch...😖🤐 Thank you for your service! ❤
Haha, you bet! Thanks for the comment 👍
Nissan knows how to get you to have them change this filter .
Absolutely true…
😢si cogiste, esa lucha para quitarlo, no quiero imaginar para poner el nuevo😅
Totally understand! Best of luck!
Putting that clip back on is a nightmare. I just don't seem to see why either
You’re right, it’s needlessly cumbersome. Almost as if they wanted to make it difficult.
@@FastFixRUclips I realized it takes a lot of pressure to get the top and bottom in.
Thank you Nissan and they brilliant engineers for this fabulous design. They could steel design from Honda or Toyota if they could not come up with better design themself. Shame on Nissan.
Right, it’s not great 👎
I give it a 4.5 out of 5.
👍
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Right back at ya! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I would personally like to give the "engineer" @ Nissan who thought this was a convenient place to put this filter a giant middle finger!
😂😂😂 you and me both!
I think I would charge a hefty amount of $$$ to change these if I ran a shop. At least enough to cover Physical Therapy, Chiropractor and massages after contortions required to change such a simple item 😂😂😂
Ha! No doubt! I’m thin and bendy and it still hurt like hell! 😂😂😂
Got my oil changed in my 2013 Murano and the dealership quoted me $90 to change. I didn't do because I wanted to check out RUclips first.
I think this was a pretty bad design. Did this for my sister's second Nissan and I will tell her to stick with Toyota or Honda going forward. These Nissan's always have sub par design IMO
Considering this has to be on a regular basic I would consider it closer to 3 out of 5 for difficulty. My hand is all scratched up and I can't even tell if it went in correctly cause it needs to be jammed in so badly...
I completely hear you. I think I got lucky as I’ve read several horror stories. No bueno.
Why does every simple job on every other vehicle have to be brain surgery on the Murano…
lol, no joke there! They should include mechanic classes when purchasing the car. It’s so terrible sometimes with these!
Nissan should be sued for this design!

In my experience, none of these filters are “easy” to change….except for my Honda. That one is easy.

Yup, I got lucky with my install. Many report it to be a major PIA.
Toyota is better more easy.. 1000%
Hello. This isn’t the most difficult one I’ve done, but definitely not the easiest either. Thanks for the comment
I've done my wife's Lexus many times. It takes less than five minutes. The hardest thing about changing the cabin filter is the bitching I get about messing up the junk in her glove box.
Immunological
I had to google that word! lol, yes right on!
OMG... it is worst spot to put air filter...
It been 10min.. n I still can take the filter off..
which fxxking idoit design like this.

Sorry dude…that filter is bad. You’re supposed to replace it once a year.
Yes, agreed! 👍👍🤣
Worst 30 minutes I've ever spent in my life. 😢 Nissan sucks for that.

It's a poor design in compare to . Toyota and Honda .
