Tool live is a religious experience. They are on tour now and I recently took my son who has also developed a healthy appreciation of Tool. The show was flawless.

I've seen it twice live and it is as awesome as you would expect it to be. The best Tool live performance I have been lucky enough to witness was in 2002. They played Lateralus/Disposition/Reflection/Triad just like on the album without pause to finish the concert. Absolutely amazing. Last year's concert featured an awesome rendition of no quarter. Swamp song was bitchin' live as well

it's not, TOOL is one of those bands where you'll pick up new little things from the same song every time you listen for like the first half a dozen to a dozen times you listen to it. basically as your brain becomes more used to the sensory input coming at you it's able to sift through that and pick out little bits it was too overloaded the first time to pick up and hear :) thus is the beauty of listening to TOOL songs
