That is most likely due to him (unlike most of the higher ups and executives ) actually also being a consumer/client of these same products. There is something to be said for people actually knowing what it is they are selling, why they are selling it and who they are selling it to. Understanding the product and what gives it value should be a requirement, especially when dealing with 4 billion dollar worth IPs, I would say. Yet we keep seeing people in charge of billion dollar IPs who haven't got the slightest idea of what gives said IP it's value. That is why they keep destroying them, it's not mallice, it's sheer incompitence mixed with arrogance. Because be it not for the arrogance, they would have found more compitent people and employed them years ago. Some say it is them wanting to leave their mark on the IP is the problem, but these people forget that good adaptations of the past have ALL had the creatives leave their mark on the IP, the differance was, those marks were ussually and improvement or a great addition to the IP. The problem again, is arrogance mixed with incompitence.
The thing about Warhammer is the level of raw violence, mature themes, terror, and pure zealotry. That’s a HUGE mountain for people to overcome. It needs to be done RIGHT. If it isn’t… GW will NEVER allow it to get onto the screen again.
The problem is Warhammer isn't as mainstream as a lot of fans think it is. Those of us who know, understand that most of it is satire. Nobody would actually cheer for a universe that unironically takes Heinlein or Orson Scott Card, cranks them both to eleven and plasters very obvious religious undertones drawing heavily on a corrupted take on the messianic archetype. Cavill's project will probably get massive praise from fans, but we'll very obviously have to weather criticism from people who don't understand what's being conveyed - and that goes both ways. I'm always glad to yell Imperium-related memes with someone else if it's done in good faith, but seeing people use Warhammer as a justification for ACTUAL bigotry is something I've sadly seen happen in the past. I think we can all recall fanart that cast Trump as the God-Emperor of Man, for instance. At that level, no amount of us posting essays that go into the setting's satirical leanings will ever appease those who lean on outrage content for views, or who drape Reactionary politics under a thin veneer of "leftism". Saying Cavill rejects "woke" agendas in the context of a WH40K production is like saying water is wet. And yet, you'll still find shrill idiots unaware of the full unit roster in the lore who'll throw a fit at the sight of a Sister of Battle because "wamen in my vidyas". Guaranteed.
@@McSquiddington Oh I can hear the cries over Adepta Sororitas. "What? Nuns with guns?" Cavill wants to stick true the lore which has nothing to do with being anti woke. It is like people objecting to Jackson and his adaptation of both LotR and the Hobbit, that he did not stay true to the lore. My oldest nephew was poo pooing this 40K project in how there is nothing really to make a movie. They are just a bunch of xenophobes. I just looked at him. Umm, uncle lived and breathed Epic and 40K in the 1990s. I spent well over $15K on both games. There is SOOOO much they can do with this universe. That is what attracted me to the game, the pseudo history. Plus not like in the lore they do not have good reason to be xenophobic. It is not like they are just othering Orks so people hate them. Orks are trying to destroy humies. We could have the whole Horus Heresy, the current timeline and focus on one particular chapter, could show battles with the Orks with huge Imperial Guard armies, even take from the offshoot games like Necromunda and have a straight up cop drama in a hiveworld and the crime syndicate, etc that inhabit the lower levels. And yeah a whole series on just the Sisters of Battle and it would be Cavill following the lore. I always tried to imagine the type of music that would be for a scene such as entering the golden throne like the early terminator movies but louder and grandeur with echoing off the huge columns and vaulted ceiling in the presence of the Emperor of Man. I do not relate 40K though with the real world. It is just fiction. And yes, this game is not mainstream. On some FB page someone posted this priest praying literally over an engine in some 3rd world country and most were just posting how stupid religion is but the first thing that popped into my head was "Adeptus Mechanicus -- All Hail the Machine God." WHICH is another idea for a series, a titan crew. Few who even played the game know there are people inside of those things. Anyway, I got like two laughs for that post btw. Just two people understood my reference.
This is exactly where I think it will fail, even with Henry involved. People are not used to this kind of hard content and if they try to appeal to most people, they will inevitably change it one way or another to make it appealing to sensitive people. The problem to overcome here will be the very nature of the content, which shouldn't be modified. But they will, if they want to make money out of it.
@@McSquiddington Err, I'm pretty sure the people making Trump God Emperor memes were being edgy and/or ironic. You don't seriously think anyone actually thinks Trump is/should be a God Emperor, do you (and I'm talking about his supporters). If you do, then that is the definition of Trump derangement syndrome.
@@threewiseman1 Being edgy or ironic doesn't make the gag any less toxic. That's the issue with Warhammer: either you can look past the outré gags that make your average 2000 AD comic seem tame, or the jokey layer leaves no trace and you're left with an overwrought attempt at trolling. Fans are at least *aware* of that toxicity, but some people see it as Warhammer's main claim to fame - when it really is an excessively granular wargame in its essence.
Quick to blame Amazon when THE ESTATE DIDN'T GIVE THEM ACCESS to the similiarion (that means they weren't allowed to mention certain characters characters) till after production was in swing. Who again is to blame? The fact that this content creator DOESN'T KNOW THIS makes me question if he actually knows what he's talking about.
Considering Henry quit the Witcher because they didn't respect the source material I'm sure he would walk away from warhammer if Amazon tried to pull something off
Confidently hopeful GW and Henry have made a strong deal that will keep Amazon from meddling in the production. If they can write these so that they're faithful to the source as well as accessible to new fans then this could be truly long lived and successful. Reacher and Terminal List are exactly the kind of templates for success that Amazon needs to follow again here.
Henry is the only player in this I trust. Amazon? Get fucking real. Don't trust them and meddling for shit. GW can be serious about protecting their overall IP at times, but when big money is in play, I dont trust them either. They'll have integrity to the highest bidder.
with Reacher they stray from the book in saison 2 far more than in S1 and not in a good way... i am really surprised that they inserted more drama than written by Lee Child in ways i deem not neccessary... but it still is a damn good show.
The real way to make sure Amazon doesn't interfere is to also get other people who know the series, and stay true to the lore of it all. I mean shit if I see that they're casting for whatever I might even throw my hat into it.
@@roadblock355 Also even when it hurts their income they have beef with their own kneecaps, trying to shoot them selfs into foot with utterly stupid decisions that make no sense what so ever.
I'm cautiously optimistic. Remember how the writers of the Witcher tried to smear him when he was correcting their garbage writing? Only time will tell how this will work out
I’m a little more optimistic, mainly because GW is very protective of its IP. They will be keeping a very close eye on the writing to insure their IP is protected. So I don’t think we will see some crazy stuff like female space marines lol.
@@darkwurm8784 It's a shame that everything related to the Warhammer 40K universe sucks due to the fact that it's extremely dark, depressing, stup1d and edgy. XD
The atmosphere Henry Cavill is surrounded with nowadays is almost cult-like. And not in a bad way, either: the nerds and gamers from all over point at him and say "He's our champion! He's one of us!" And hot damn, I'm here for it.
Honestly with how shit hollywood and usual society is, we need more people with that kind of presence. Will be way better than the pit of despair most people fall in.
To date I have only seen one Warhammer based video game adaptation that came even close to properly representing the tabletop version, and it wasn’t a WH40K or WHFB game, it was Blood Bowl.
This is it. We all have to make Henry succeed in such a glorious manner it breaks the entertainment world to see how we come out in the millions to support One of us...Henry is one of us...he is our Primarch against the filth in Hollywood...Every one of us needs to come out and support him. This is the call.
what is our duty? to serve the emperors will. what is the emperors will? that we fight and die (to support this Primarch) . what is death? it is our duty
Sam Witwer is amazing too. He was Starkiller in the Force Unleashed games, and the voice of Darth Maul in the animated shows. He got the job by out-geeking Dave Filoni.
They need to keep the show grounded and fairly small scale especially in early seasons to build momentum and popularity. The magnitude of the setting works best when that's not the focus all the time. It really benefits from being seen from a fairly regular human perspective. Many fans have already mentioned this but star Cavill as an Inquisitor which would enable the story to easily switch setting and introduce different factions naturally.
counter point. an anthology serie akin to hammer and bolter or with the format of black mirror with each episode showing a different part of the warhammer world
Amazon has stepped foot into arguably the most conservative gamer pool in the known universe. If it fucks this up, the amount of audience dropoff will make Rings of Power feel like a payday. 40k is a big "word of mouth" community after all.
I don't think that mainstream audiences are deliberately looking for non woke Media. but when woke politics take centre stage the quality suffers and that's what people are tired of.
to an extent. the majority of people on earth can’t relate to woke identity politics resulting in loss of interest when it’s part of a franchise. since it’s not common it almost has to take a forward part in a show as well
It's why Top Gun was a roaring success... They were actors portraying elite aviators that are there today and whilst it was another trench run, it avoided the social politics and stuck to fun cameos and focusing on the feel goods.
Anyone looking for "non-woke" media are just as bloody stupid as people who are looking for "woke" media. Just tell good, interesting stories and stop looking for real life agendas to be inserted for no reason that doesn't somehow serve the story and characters. If something makes a story / character better, use it.. if it doesn't, don't fucking use it. It's not rocket science.
I was upset at first about WB dumping Cavill. Not anymore. He’s the last bastion of hope for anti-woke. He’s not the hero we need, but the hero we deserve.
WB doesn't deserve him and their hubris cost us fans a fantastic Superman. If only WB put JL movie in a better director's hands than Zack Snyder. I know he cast Henry as Superman but boy, do I keep wondering what it would've been like had the JL movie been a huge blockbuster.
@@Clawed9 me too. Henry Cavill was the perfect building block to center that universe, and they completely blew it. I keep thinking about a Man of Steel 2 with Brainiac, and how amazing it would’ve been. Especially with the technology they established on Krypton.
Henry was the perfect Superman in looks, but was dragged down by terrible scripts that butchered the character. Ben could've been the best veteran Batman of all time but he had the same thing happen to him. Here's hoping James Gunn can deliver a good Superman story. I've been a massive WH40k fan ever since the late 90's. My brother and I would fantasize about all the epic battles and stories we read and always return to one though: "Could you imagine if they did a 40k movie with the scope and vision of Peter Jackson's LoTR trilogy?". Cinema has come a long way since those days, but I'm not one bit less excited about a top quality 40k cinematic universe! There is just one thing they need to get correct, and that is Warhammer's theme of "Grim Dark". Games Workshop have described their setting as "to be alive during the most bloody and oppressive regime imaginable". Sure, you can (and should) have some light heart-ed moments, but this the war at the end of time for the fate of the galaxy! Death to the mutant, the heretic, the alien! For the glory of mankind, and may the Emperor bless your soul!
*"Sure, you can (and should) have some light heart-ed moments, but this the war at the end of time for the fate of the galaxy!"* Dark humor is the perfect fit for 40K. You might be able to get some milage out of a character who doesn't understand humor and thus gets confused when people make jokes.

08:00 Reacher is as close as we are going to get a Batman. He is Batman without the suit and he is played by an actor who can display a strong male character, both physically and mentally.
@@vidstarr We have a bat-man. We haven't had a detective Bat-man or actual dark knight since day 1. just director interpretations of who they want him to be.
Lol. Reacher season 2 is absolutely terrible. Literally Disney + level of garbage. Awful acting, scripts and paper thin characters. If it was a Batman film it would be Batman Forever.
Forget the MCU. The 40k franchise has the potential to do better than Game of Thrones in its prime, which is apt considering how dark both franchises can be. One can only pray it's nothing like the MCU, past and present.
I think Henry is one of the last of an almost extinct breed of actor. He cares about quality and respect for the lore - plus he doesn't bend the knee to the hive mind.
Disney can't make that turnaround anymore. Kathleen Kennedy just hired a director for the new Ray Star Wars film and her entire entertainment directing career boils down to 2 episodes of Ms. Marvel that were so poorly shot they had to reshoot both episodes without the director. That nepotism hire is what they chose to direct a film likely to get 100+ million dollar budget. Disney can't be fixed.
The day 40K goes woke it offend both sides. 40k fans will hate it due to ruining the source material and the woke mob will hate it for glorifying genocidal and racist factions.
Can't believe I'm agreeing with China on their decision with live-service games, this is a good thing hopefully the video games industry starts to tear itself away from this blight.
Chinese laws are always created with the sheer intent on improving the lives of the people there. It's sad but it honestly seems like parents in most countries can't be trusted to keep porn, lgbt crap, and gambling away from their kids. Ccp to save the day I guess...I'm a republican but. ...like....the ccp ftw I guess
Funnily enough, while not giving a damn about their rights, the CCP does care very much about its people's health, because it directly affects the growth and stability of the country (just remember COVID). And while western countries would need to find ways to protect children, and the undereducated from these predatory practices, while still respecting your rights (which is hard to do), the CCP can just outright ban these, and not worry about the non-existent rights of its citizens.
China might end up backtracking and reversing that decision. Two of their biggest tech companies, Tencent Holdings and Netease, lost a lot of value. That decision caused tech companies stock to fall.
@@stoda01 Not likely. Both Tencent and Netease are large, because they own a lot of western assets. They going under would not impact China much, and the CCP might even want to clean house.
If Amazon's first outing into the 40k verse is adapting the Cain or Eisenhorn books, that would be for the best. Cavill would easily be able to play as either the Commissar or Inquisitor, both series help new fans understand the setting, both have deep, complex characters, both male and female, and they are both more than Astarte gunfights; Cain being more of a comedy adventure, and Eisenhorn being a mystery investigation, similar to Reacher. Please Amazon, do this well, and do it right.
Henry Cavill taking the helm while stating he has been a huge fan of Warhammer since he was a little kid and walking away from Witcher because he didn't agree with how they treated the source material is certainly promising.
Amazon butchered The Wheel of Time as well as The Rings of Power. If what you say is true and the crew working on Warhammer are fans of the source material, I hope they stick to their guns and keep to the lore.

@@cthuluuu4348 An interesting compromise might be a show/movie about a guy going through the process of *becoming* a Space Marine. Starting from his daily life on one extremely dangerous planet or another, then accomplishing something incredible that gets him selected to become an Aspirant, and finishing with his first battle as a Scout Marine. If done well, it could make for a great story about something that AFAIK hasn't actually been explored before, while doubling as a way to introduce newcomers to 40K... A story that showcases the transformation of an ordinary human to the nearly-alien Astartes.
They've backed themselves into a corner where they have to deliver on this franchise the RIGHT way. As history has shown us...if Cavill leaves this project its the signal to abandon ship. Reacher was a perfect example of what we need. I watched the first episode and it was great, the main trio were fun to watch, they played off each other wonderfully and best of all, they were competent, even the men! We really do need more shows like that and I am absolutely excited for more. Because hell, you could go for ages with such a simple premise. Conan probably not the best example because Reacher is very smart and uses a lot of cunning.
Reacher doesn't have the usual suffocating amount of propaganda but there are a few parts that still leave a bad taste for me. First, it has fight scenes where a woman engages in hand to hand combat with men who are usually career thugs and it's an even fight. Takes me out of the action immediately, even if it wasn't the intent for this to be the usual "strong woman" messaging, that's all I can see anymore. Second, there's a scene where Reacher goes to buy a gun in I believe New Jersey. And it's weird because they started out on the right track, talking about all sorts of pointless hoops to jump through ("more hoops than the NBA") that are legally required to buy and own one there, get a permit, wait several weeks, you can only buy one every so often, just one infringement after another. Then he just hands him a stack of money and the guy gives him everything he wants. It's just so clearly Hollywood's idea of how a gun store operates, realistically he would've been thrown out the door in seconds because as soon as those guns show up anywhere the owner's going to jail.
I thought Reacher was pretty meh, but its probably more because I find the concept boring and the writing kind of trashy... but as I understand it that's true to the novels, so it's more a criticism of the story rather than the show. Better example of a good Amazon show to me is The Terminal List, it was great from start to end.
I would absolutely love to watch a movie about the collapse of humanity before the God Emperor. The building of the Imperium of Man, the thunder warriors, reconnecting humanity, and the movie ends with the plans put forward for the Emperor's "sons" to be made.
"An elite band of screenwriters each with their own particular passion for War Hammer" sound way more exciting than writers "disliking the books and games, and even actively mocking the source material". Good luck to Henry Cavill and the team, I hope this turn out great. 👍
There have been many Warhammer games that I have played with my friends that I wish I could see an animated version of it. I think that would be a unique idea for a show. At the being of the show you have two players ready to battle, but then it immediately goes in the animation of the game play. Best part you can have actual players bringing in their army's to show off.

What you need to know is it started in '83 with the fantasy version (plain "Warhammer"), then '87 with the sci-fi version ("WH40k," 40,000 being the year AD), both as affectionate parodies of their entire genres (not "umm ackchewally political satire" despite what The People Who Ruin Franchises will try to tell you). Both became more serious and coherent over time, and 40k fully transitioned to an internally-serious self-contained setting mostly in one step at its 3rd edition in '98 (WH was always a few edition-numbers ahead and did it more gradually). Both are, very broadly, about how humanity survives while besieged on all sides and from within. Fantasy is a more grim take on a LOTR-ish setting, and less focused on the humans. 40k is more focused on the humans and the overall situation is so dire it coined "grimdark." tinyurl.com/ym99ft2k
Henry is a real nerd who is so passionate about 40K. He will absolutely walk away from this project if they try to make it Woke. Mad respect! Make our dreams come true Henry!

I hope the Black Library will assist to the fullest. The authors are always collaborating with each other on the lore. If the show is canon, then that will have to reflect in the literature as well.
“We all know companies only know the language that is money anyway.” You know…as of recently I’ve become convinced this isn’t true. Disney has been consistently speaking a different language from money. Either they don’t understand it, or they’re speaking a different language. Maybe it’s the language of propaganda or something, but definitely not money.
The board only owns a small percentage of the overall company. They don't really lose money from the flops. Therefore, they continue to push the agenda as it costs them nothing.
I don't know how they will make a decent live action 40k show without it costing billions. However, I could see it working if they made a decent cgi animated show with Henry voicing the main character.

As much as I love WH40K, can you imagine how incredible an HBO style TV series in the Battletech universe would be if they told the story of the final years of the Star League leading into the Kerensky / Amaris civil war? It was Game of Thrones before GoT, with the added bonus of giant stompy mech suits and space ships.
I've been a fan of 'Battletech/Mechwarrior' since just after the first copies of the game were released after the name-change from 'Battledroids' (and thank goodness for THAT forced bit of serendipity.) Interestingly, given the gargantuan scope of 40k, you could take the entire history of the Inner Sphere, from the first Jumpship in 2108 to the 3100's, Double it, and it could still fit into an entire forgotten and lost chapter of humanity in the 40k 'verse. Warhammer is THAT big. Also, the sad fact is, even though BT may ultimately be more 'Human' and relatable than 40k, it is a much, much smaller franchise & nowhere near as well-known. As Hollywood flounders, someone with half a brain MAY pick it up at some point, but despite its quality and a passionate fanbase, it is not high on anyone's list.
For example look what happened with One Piece Live Action: -Respecting the source material, check. -Crew at the very least liking the source material, check. -Bringing up necessary changes with the author(IP owner) and earning his approval, check. -Respecting the fanbase, check. Result: a fething success! It's just too bad we won't be getting an Imperial Guard movie.

Henry is one of the few people in Hollywood who actually cares, understands, and respects fans. He needs to be protected at all cost
One of us! One of us!
He truly is one of us. To nearly miss the Superman call because he was deep into Warhammer is the type of creative we need.
The Emperor protects!

As soon as Henry signs on to any live action game franchise, it immediately gives that project Nerd Cred.

@@SquaulDuNeant favreau turned out to be great for mandalorian.... i have a feeling cavill can do the same for 40k. here's hoping.

It's why Top Gun was a roaring success... They were actors portraying elite aviators that are there today and whilst it was another trench run, it avoided the social politics and stuck to fun cameos and focusing on the feel goods.

And it would take some truly catastrophic things happening behind the scenes for him to ever leave his dream job.
History shows that we never learn from history
bruh how ironic is it that the only people still giving relevance to the word "woke" are those who seek to disparage it
What really captures me as a Warhammer 40K is that it’s a dark and forbidding world. With Choas gods, Warp entities , disease famine and never ending war …..and Dark Eldars not unlike Cenobites from Hellraiser, it’s just epically badassery
It's really just a parody of itself. Everything is over the top and everyone is evil.
I'm fairly new to the franchise, about a year in, but I love it!
Take the base cool ideas and turn everything up not to a measly 11, but to 20 and you've got 40K.

Henry cavill will revolutionize media and bring back quality into movies/tv shows mark my words. The dude is literally overseeing every single detail of it and after dealing with woke shit in Witcher he never wants to go back to those times.
Henry Cavill should be a producer since they have bigger say over projects than directors
He can make sure more projects get proper adaptations
If this is done right we have the next meta on our hands this could easily become the new Star Wars
@@EndymionTvyup Henry is probably well aware that if this project does amazing it could be the next Star Wars of this generation. If it flops then that’ll be a massive letdown.

1. This will not need to adress new audiences
2. This will be a titanic amount of work and finance to bring it to life... The right way.
3. If they are true to their word, they will crush all the last 30 years of cinematography while setting amazing new standards.
4. If Amazon does not commit to this after starting to roll on this path... There is a unimaginable s**t storm waiting on their horizon.
Very smart / lots of cunning= canonical Conan, so very apt analogy imo
@@larion2336 There was nothing original about The Terminal List. It was bordering on conservative propaganda. Meverhteless, it was fun to watch.

I would absolutely love to watch a movie about the collapse of humanity before the God Emperor. The building of the Imperium of Man, the thunder warriors, reconnecting humanity, and the movie ends with the plans put forward for the Emperor's "sons" to be made.
I’m glad to see Alan Ritchson doing so good. Mfer is a great actor with a wide range. I mean, he went from Thad Castle to Reacher.
And Aquaman. And a ninja turtle.
Henry needs to cast him 40k, man. Dude looks like a primarch roboute.

There have been many Warhammer games that I have played with my friends that I wish I could see an animated version of it. I think that would be a unique idea for a show. At the being of the show you have two players ready to battle, but then it immediately goes in the animation of the game play. Best part you can have actual players bringing in their army's to show off.
With the amount of stories in 40K WarHammer this can be an extremely gigantic multi billion dollar franchise

I wish good luck to Henry on Warhammer. I Don't know a thing about Warhammer but I hope he's allowed to give the fans what they want and he isn't forced to bend the will behind the scenes by higher ups and ruin what he's promising to them
What you need to know is it started in '83 with the fantasy version (plain "Warhammer"), then '87 with the sci-fi version ("WH40k," 40,000 being the year AD), both as affectionate parodies of their entire genres (not "umm ackchewally political satire" despite what The People Who Ruin Franchises will try to tell you).
40k is more focused on the humans and the overall situation is so dire it coined "grimdark."

Henry is a real nerd who is so passionate about 40K. He will absolutely walk away from this project if they try to make it Woke. Mad respect! Make our dreams come true Henry!
I hope that this time, he won't have to walk away but will have the power to send the wokesters packing if they don't get in line with his vision.
Cavill being an actual fan of 40k will look at it and actually do the opposite of what you want, because 40k is a dystopia not your weird fascist utopian vision you freak.
completely agree with China approach to games and youth. America needs to mimic some of these practices
I hope the Black Library will assist to the fullest. The authors are always collaborating with each other on the lore. If the show is canon, then that will have to reflect in the literature as well.
“We all know companies only know the language that is money anyway.”
You know…as of recently I’ve become convinced this isn’t true.
@@RH-mw1nc the point still stands. They don’t speak the language of money. It’s getting pretty wild as well.

I don't know how they will make a decent live action 40k show without it costing billions. However, I could see it working if they made a decent cgi animated show with Henry voicing the main character.

And they're not going to pander to woke/progressive mobs? This pleases the Emperor, the Chaos Daemons, AND the tyranids!
Ah yes, Intollerance is such a great thing.
And people other than straight, white cis men being represented is terrible.
Yes, that would be amazing.
Agreed! Would also love to see the pc game Freespace as a series, another incredible story that was never finished.
I've been a fan of 'Battletech/Mechwarrior' since just after the first copies of the game were released after the name-change from 'Battledroids' (and thank goodness for THAT forced bit of serendipity.)
Interestingly, given the gargantuan scope of 40k, you could take the entire history of the Inner Sphere, from the first Jumpship in 2108 to the 3100's, Double it, and it could still fit into an entire forgotten and lost chapter of humanity in the 40k 'verse.
Respect the lore, glory awaits. Fail to heed this warning and you’ll find bankruptcy and irrelevance in your future.
100%
For example look what happened with One Piece Live Action:
-Respecting the source material, check.
-Crew at the very least liking the source material, check.
-Bringing up necessary changes with the author(IP owner) and earning his approval, check.
-Respecting the fanbase, check.
Result: a fething success!
It's just too bad we won't be getting an Imperial Guard movie.
Honestly having played Rogue Trader and for the first time, learned a LOT of the lore of Warhammer, if they DO make the show devoid of wokeness and instead concentrate on providing an actual great, well written and acted TV show, I genuinely believe the show could end up rivalling GOT numbers.
What does devoid of wokeness mean, exactly? People seem to have a million different definitions of the word just randomly slinging it around its sometimes hard to grasp what they really mean.
@@SuomenPaskaI guess it could be considered changing things unnecessarily by making that character a different gender or race then what they were originally but I’ve also seen people just use as a term for a woman shown in a position of power which wh40k has a lot of so 🤷♂️ it maybe labeled as woke even if it’s just going with the lore
We cannot let the forces of chaos destroy this franchise like it has so many others

I propose a simple test for any script writer who wants to work on this series, in light of the claim that they are assembling an "elite band of screenwriters, each with their own particular passion for Warhammer." Anyone, ANYONE who wants to write a script for this universe, has to sit in one on one with Henry Cavill for a lore discussion. If he is displeased with your knowledge, you don't write, period.
