This is actually my favorite key utilization ever. It combines ergonomics, style, presentation, tactility, and quirkiness. I know Audi had something very similar (I've used it), but it wasn't quite as well-designed as this. Also, call me weird, but I also love the hide-away screen. It lets the interior design shine and helps minimize distraction (that said, this is far from my favorite interior design).
Not even close. Lexus LFA is leaps beyond this. And there are a handful of cars that sound better. Beautiful car but not the best sounding engine. I would say even my Lexus is500 sounds better.
@@ajam3929I agree it's not the best sounding engine, but the LFA definitely isn't either. A Subaru boxer sounds better than both of those lol. Edit: also this v12 sounds almost like a bmw inline 6. The s62 in the E39 M5 sounds significantly better.
Was considering a 2015/16/17 Vanquish recently. Checked with my insurance first; premium, as a daily driver, is…wait for it….$12k a year. $1,000 a month. I moved on to something else 😢
Yes, this sounds eerily similar to the 3L V6 in my S5, only missing the turbo noises. Even has the same transmission. This Aston needs a titanium exhaust to wake up that V12 howl.
@@f1ash756aston took one of the parts from ford with utilizing dissimilar frill by rebuilding it from a new convention to result a similar displacement like some of the engines that are thought to be V6
That interior is absolutely not good enough for the price of the vehicle. BMW was already better than this years earlier than 2015 for a fraction of the cost.
Only 560hp out of a V12?? A hellcat can push over 700hp out of a V8 Murican engineering > British engineering. No wonder big daddy Murica had to come and save them from the Germans in both world wars.
Lol a Hellcat takes a Supercharger to make that. This is not supercharged. Show me a Dodge making 560hp with no supercharger other than the 8 liter Viper. Also, big daddy America had to use Merlin engines on its P51 Mustangs 😂
Total dream car, timeless and classy. Even among the Valkyries and Valours this thing is still my favorite modern Aston
The fact that this is 10 years old already is insane 2015 doesn't seem like a decade ago
One of, if not the best looking Aston... I love DB9s and Rapide... Stunning look, natty V12!
I WILL own this car in the next 5 years or so, Calling it right now. This is such a beautiful car that has aged so well!
I could look at and listen to one of these all day
The way the key is being inserted like a CD, and how the screen flips up. Oh lord for 2015 this was beyond futuristic
Audi had that too
This interior felt dated in 2015

Not really. This looks like something from 2008. BMW 5 series was already way more luxurious in 2011-2012.
this way def not futuristic..it was actually dated tech from about 10yrs earlier
One of the best looking (and sounding) cars ever made !! Wow !!!
Love the backward tach. Classic Aston.
Me too.
Just about the only thing I don't like is the backward tach, but I'd get over it if I owned one. This thing is timeless.
How is your comment 19 hrs ago but this is new?

Already 10 years old this car. Time flies
This is my absolute dream car. They’re coming down so far in price, I’ll have it one day!
One of the most beautiful Astons ever produced! 😍👌🏻
Gotta love that V12 sound 🔥🔥
Great video.... I am fortunate to have a 2014 db9.2.... I am smitten every time I drive her. Cheers
man the vanquish is just SO GORGEOUS!!
Why does Substitute Topher sound just like The Topher even down to the laugh? 😂
Old but still a head turner
... AM is one of the few car manufacturers who's products improved with every year....
What an amazing car inside and out, I would feel like a secret agent driving one
The look the sound just wow
I think it was the original 6 speed that got slated on release. The 8 speed is the more sought after version.
Best sounding engine ever built

@ 🤣👍🏽
This generation of Aston (2008-2015) looked so good much better than the current models
Sounds up!! 😍
yes that is a volvo sourced infotainment! my 08 volvo s80 had an older version of that system found in older astons
Sounds wonderful!
That is sick. No stupid huge screens either.
I think most of the complaints people had about the transmission were with the 6 speed autos. The Vanquish got the 8 speed ZF in 2014
Magnifique !
I wasn’t expecting this voice. Substitute Topher pulling a fast one on us
Film the new Vanquish too please!!
Amazing car !
Please review a Rapide AMR if you can. Its a dream car of mine
Love the Rapide AMR too. Those sound incredible and are so so rare!!!
Aston still has V12's for the new Vanquish and Valkyrie.
10 years and still looks like a brand new 2025 sheeeesh
This thing would be so cool with a manual!
The more videos I watch with auto/paddle shifters, the more I'm tempted to get an auto with my next car. Such a tough decision..
5.9L V12 😉
was this video filmed in the Southern Hemisphere? The tach is going backwards
the outside looks 2045, the inside look/tech seems 1995 - is that what makes it a 2015?
😂 But thats great just the way it is! Nobody needs screens the size of flat screen tv in their Car! This thing is great!
That thing ain't no joke.
That's an impressive torque converter auto for 2015.
I like normal non-substitute topher. bring him back from the basement you left him in
Sat Nav out of the first Jurassic park movie

Hard work prob
It has aged very well
If you can, please find a second gen Dodge Ram with the 5.2 liter v8 or a Jeep XJ 4.0.
Beautiful car, beautiful filming location did you guys film this review during quarantine 😂
The actual displacement is 5.9 Liters.
14:19 a manual gearbox
interior looks like a fine swiss chronograph.
Wow
lol 300k - the world has gone MAD!
*5.9L V12
True.😂
Bro what happened to your voice??
it’s substitute topher
@Eric1935 oh...
bros tripping
This 6L V12 sounds an awful lot like a 3L V6, no joke. It has some bassy undertones but otherwise it sounds exactly like a 6 lol.
Yes, this sounds eerily similar to the 3L V6 in my S5, only missing the turbo noises. Even has the same transmission. This Aston needs a titanium exhaust to wake up that V12 howl.
If I’m not mistaken the 6L V12 is just two ford 3L V6 Duratecs put together
@@f1ash756aston took one of the parts from ford with utilizing dissimilar frill by rebuilding it from a new convention to result a similar displacement like some of the engines that are thought to be V6
That gearbox looks totally lifeless.
Just me or the V12 sounds so muted you can confuse it for a BMW I6. At least from the video sounds more intake than exhaust.
Nothing an exhaust can’t fix
