Omg I've never double tapped to skip 10 seconds so fast when the video started. I then had to pause and calm myself down before continuing. This video was cruel 😅
It's not just a hatred of eating sounds though- the trigger set list could literally be endless. Like, if I have to sit in a room full of people who are coughing all day, I'm going to murder them all. There are really no ifs or buts. I would be so fucking done. The noises in this video don't trigger me at all but coughing does. I still have misophonia because we're not all the same.
@@miloskostic5963 I too have problems with coughing, I've never had children because children's coughs are the worst, I'd end up smothering them! But funnily enough, when I have a cold and cough, it doesn't really bother me, I think it's because the sound is coming from inside me rather than outside me, because , I've recorded myself singing before and cleared my throat at the end, then forgetting I've played it back and then my own cough has the same effect as someone else coughing!
This is real. I can't celebrate holiday meals with family because of it. Oddly, restaurants and movie theaters are ok as long as the surrounding environment is loud. But I get SO ANGRY if someone eats something crunchy around me. It'll trigger a fight or flight response in me. But it also can go the other way - the sound of someone gulping a drink actually turns me on.
I can no-longer go to the movies. The sound of some cave-dwelling savage parked in my vicinity - - open-mouth crunching their popcorn (or incessantly rustling a snack bag of any sort/or candy wrapper) sends me into a murderous rage. So I stay just at home :(

I suffer from MISOPHONIA, and my son suffers from Asperger Syndrome… what a perfect combination! Why? At the age of 35, he’s still chewing loudly. I have told him, but he doesn’t get my abhorrence for such sounds. What do I do, then? Walk away from his loud chewing!!!
I have this and it’s getting worse. It’s nothing about chewing loud or making human noises, it’s about the constant roar, too many people talking loudly, commotion. An example, I feel that if dogs are playing and barking in a house I feel like they’re right at my feet making these sounds, almost like I’m targeted. No one else is bothered by it but me. It’s to the point to where I do t want to go to family functions. It’s horrible and I wish I wasn’t this way.
I still have misophonia but I have learned how to manage it. For me it's eating, especially with the people I love. When we have dinner together or go out to eat I just make sure I have some kind of "white noise" to clutter sound, position myself at the opposite end of the table from the people who trigger me the most, and I always have headphones in my pocket to dull my hearing if it gets bad. I realized that if I ever wanted a social life I would have to adjust and luckily it has improved over time. But ya, it really sucks, especially when you don't know what is happening.
I can't watch that intro segment, i want to punch a hole in my screen! Fight or flight.. Coping is the hard part, just leaving the room works. The wireless earbuds with noise cancelation are amazing now a days:) Over ear headphones when watching a movie and someone smacks with a gum is death.

Body sounds dont bother me , loud banging and stomping does. I was stuck in my gmas house in a small room due to major bipolar depression and social anxiety. I have alot of little cousins that would be dropped off daily and would run around and jump on the bed that was next to my room. It was impossible to think straight or even sleep.
