Doctors ,in general must free themselves from the pressure from the drug companies, that is a big ask from the doctors; it is easy living to lean on the drug companies!
No mention of B1 therapy.
Very interesting stuff
Thank you the team from Mexico and ABC hospital
Brilliant upload and brilliantly presented
I look forward to more lectures

Really interesting lecture. Thank-you. But you dont mention the role of light therapy - infrared and or red light therapy on the gut of parkinsons patients - has been shown to improve sleep, cognition, mood and motor skills in small cohort studies. Larger RCTs underway now.
B12 is super important in slowing down or prevention ALL neurodegenerative diseases, especially dementia. It also has been (a lack of b12) shown to inhibit an an enzyme known to increase the aggressiveness of many cancers. Very exciting.
If you go back far enough it was the addition of sugars, white or processed flour and seed oils which began the raise of chronic diseases ...moving away from the century old diets of meats, fish, eggs & dairy which are nutritionally dense & highly absorbable probably creates deficiencies which cause the inflammation which results in chronic health failures....

Very interesting topic, but the material used is really not well organized . I would like to see a good presentation of this topic. The charts are very tiny!
Thank you so much very interesting.
scientific & medical world lacks only about 80 - 100 years behind, because of massive profits in treating symptoms in stead of finding the CAUSE

Billy Eduard Albert Meier (BEAM):
Then the last question: You once said that there were natural foods that could prevent or simply slow down Parkinson's disease in a highly concentrated form. You mentioned vegetables that contain natural nicotine, which, when eaten, has an alleviating or preventing effect on Parkinson's disease.
Ptaah:
65. That is correct.
66. Pure vegetables, such as tomatoes, peppers, aubergines and cauliflower, etc., which contain natural nicotine are effective against Parkinson's if eaten frequently.
67. A very effective extract can also be made from these vegetables, which can produce very beneficial effects.

Dr Terry Wahl was in a tilt recline wheelchair with MS. She developed a nutritional protocol that reversed the MS so that she is back to vigorous activities.
Why does he recommend taking caffeine tablets? Why not take green tea, shown to help PD, and contains some caffeine? Especially matcha, probably the best green tea.
For myself, I've always been sensitive to caffeine, and can increase nervousness and tremors, so I do use matcha sparingly, not too late in the day. The caffeine assists in being able to exercise. I also take 2 capsules daily of decaffeinated green tea from Life Extension.
Try Mucuna, great stuff!!
Dzo, do you take any meds or you take only the mucuna. Do you get help from a doctor?

Hello! Finding the right balance of medications needs to be done with your doctor's help. If you'd like our team to respond, please use our question form on our website: movementdisorders.ufhealth.org/contact-us/contact-us-for-general-information/
You can also find much more information about PD on our website and in other videos here on our RUclips channel. This one might address some of your questions: ruclips.net/video/utVZaOLUiDo/видео.html
Keep in mind drug companies or no one will find studies of anything but pharmaceuticals.

The CoQ10 (36:00) is inferior to ubiquinol, its reduced form, for absorption. CACO2 cells prefer ubiquinol8-10x vs. ubiquinone form, and where CoQ10 did not have an impact ubiquinol did. Acetyl l-carnitine is preferred to l-carnitine ALCAR boosts fatty acid transport into the brain, improving energy. One thing creatine monohydrate does is recycle ADP to ATP faster, which in general can benefit brain function. The metabolically active form of B6, pyridoxal 5' phosphate, is the form people should use, not pyroxidine hydrochloride. Melatonin should have made the list, as it prevents mitochondrial membrane depolarization. Very good lecture.
Just the CBD in cannabis can interfere with multiple classes of drugs, competing for absorption and-or phase 2 detox. Plants vary in content where a supplement can be standardized, yet either form may affect SSRIs, TCAs, calcium channel blockers, anti-fungals, beta blockers, and a couple chemo drugs. Contraindicated for bipolar and schizophrenia, none of which you may hear at a dispensary or retail outlet.

Has a date been established for a Parkinson's Disease Symposium in 2018? I am a Nurse Practitioner who has PD, and I am interested in attending. Thank you.
Hello! Sorry we didn't respond right away. The next symposium is confirmed to be on April 7th, 2018 here in Gainesville. We'll have more details as the event gets closer.
