    I just put on a gyro for my Kink Desist brakes with London mod and I've got a lot of slack to take up and that's a genius idea I'm going to have to use!

      You really cant beat the simplicity of the springfield. They're actually pretty stiff brake arms too for how inexpensive they are!

    I like to see new setups but I'm still saying that the spoke mod is superior just because there is no flex in any of it as long as the cable pull is straight or inline to the cable stop. Plus it adds another adjustment point.

    Try to find different bolts for the arm to prevent the cable from slipping off the bolt the cable may come off when the arm is released over time go to a hardware store and find something similar to the bolts you used for the arm's

      I’ve been riding it like this for over a month and the loops haven’t come off unintentionally once. Done several big fufanus and tricks that are death if the brakes fail and haven’t been let down yet. Don’t think they’re coming off

    Any tips on using as a front brake without the front brake adapter kit? It isn’t available. I have used the two supplied ends and put a cable end into one end then attached a odyssey knarp so the cable doesn’t slip out. I couldn’t find any adapter from another brake that would fit through the hole.

    • @Brant_Moore
      @Brant_Moore  Год назад +1

      Hmmmm, it seems like you might be able to put a barrel adjuster in the side the housing goes into and then use a knarp like you described.
      Also, I checked albes and it says that they have the kink front brake/dual cable pieces in stock right now. You'd use the barrel adjuster the same way and then one of the front kit pieces as a knarp.

    Just curious if you are still using the kink desist brake or if you have any input on them since you may have used them for a while? I just purchased a kink whip and not happy with the stock brakes even after adjustments. Thinking I may just need to go ahead and upgrade...

      I am, yes! On both of my bikes.
      They are still great. My current brake tune up has stayed good and feels great much longer than any other that I can remember.
      The brakes on my trails bike kind of started to feel bad, so I did a tune up on them and they’re back to feeling really good again too. I can definitely and confidently recommend them

    The cable looks like its going to snap behind the bolt this is why i hate running breaks. cables fraying and snapping all the time or my threads on my removable break mounts coming loose all the time under my break prolly why im breakless now not rode break's sins 2012

    • @Brant_Moore
      @Brant_Moore  3 года назад

      I dont see it breaking any time soon. Its a loop around something round to anchor it instead of a pinch point. There's much less friction with a loop if any at all so you're relying entirely on the strength of the cable inner itself. This is better than the setup I had before this and I never broke a cable with that.
