I've avoided gyros/detanglers for as long as I can remember. My 12 year old went from skate boards to scooters to BMX in a matter of months and well, the time has now come for me to grow the f**k up and learn all about the wonders of gyroscopic brake devices so my kid can be like, "Yeah Bruh! Sick Bar Spin!" and still have the ability to stop his two-wheeled beast of adventure. What we do for our offspring. This video makes this foray into this oddball braking system a pleasure. was always frustrated how my brakes weren’t dialed like all the park rats lol I just slapped them on as a kid and set the u brake and lever 😹. Thanks alot
Thanks for the video. Question what if I do that then I decide I want to use a taller rise bar. Let’s say 7.2” rise to a 9” rise. Would I need new cables or do you think I would get away with using the current cables? Thanks in advance!
Going to install a gyro on my Kink Williams. I was told I have to change the headset for a smaller one as the one it has only has a 15 mm cab that serves as spacer. Trying to figure out what headset to get. Cinema or Odyssey pro? Any ideas? Thanks!
Yeah i thought about that the other day. This video shows a 1 1/8" threadless with built in cups and built in gyro tabs. If you don't have built in cups and tabs, there is a plate that goes on under the top cup and a top plate under the stem. I plan to do a video on this type shortly that will cover 1" threaded and 1 1/8" threadless without built in cups or tabs.

Be careful punching those cables through cut sides that’s how I got one of my metal fibers in my cable on my first set of odyssey brakes all tangled lol had get a new cable
If your bike has a top headset cup that comes out, they make a plate that might work for your bike. Otherwise, you may have to drill and tap your frame. Hope this helps!

I'm not sure. If you don't have holes on your head tube for gyro mounts, then you have to have headset cups that are removable and get a 1-1/8" gyro bottom plate. If your cups don't come out either, then i don't think you can put a gyro on it.

According to the specs, the pro performer 29 should have removable gyro tabs. So yes, if it is the model with removable gyro tabs.

Primo use to make a "primo pervert" which allowed you to make your cable a custom length. i don't know where to find something like that now.

Is there any way of installing the Gyro with integrated headset BUT WITHOUT the holes? I just ordered the Odyssey G3 but I have integrated headset 🤦
You would have to drill and tap the frame.
...or weld them on. My next frame will be a custom frame with welded on gyro tabs...and other things.
