- Another little flickthrough for you...this one has accompanied me to Italy, France and Lanzarote as well as to Dublin and my home town of Galway.
If you're a sketchbook artist, I really think you should try this little size, an A6 portrait sketchbook. I love it! It makes all the difference - the difference between having the time and space to finish something when you otherwise might not. Personally, I want to experiment more, with different media and techniques, and a tiny book is a great place to do that.
I hope you enjoy this little mini-exhibition and if you are one of my wonderful students, I want you to know that I value each and every one of you immensely. It has been my privilege to guide you in the ways of observational sketching in ink and watercolour this year and I can't wait for more beautiful sketching experiences with you!
If you have yet to join me in my live weekly classes, you would be most welcome, and I genuinely look forward to getting to know you...and spreading the joy of sketching.

Normally I hate when artists put the sketchbook cover on the video thumb instead of a representative spread (so I can see if I even like their style enough to click). I never click on those videos. Never!
But as luck would have it, I'm going to Lanzarote in a couple of weeks so when I saw it on the cover, I decided to click anyway 😄 And I was not disappointed. Lovely sketches of beautiful locations.
Wow! Thanks for that little tidbit, it would never have occurred to me that a sketchbook cover might not be very enticing…I will consider that for next time! And have a super time in Lanzarote ❤️
