This animation is inspired by and ancient persian art called Persian miniature and some character and creatures in persian mythology such as Div( deamon) simorgh ( phenix like bird), Huda bird( sign of prosperity) and some love story poems and historic buildings. I am truely fascinated by both the music and the animation.

Excellent choice 🤩 Persian music has 12 systems and west music has 4 systems. What you hear can be half quart 1/8 th, or 16 th of a note where you get lost in the music as you most probably are not familiar with. It takes many years of practice to be able to sing like that. It’s not just making a sound out of your throat but the whole buddy must become one in order to make such an amazing voice. You have to go all the way and to the limit of your breath, throat, diagram, stomach, nose and mouth and more 👍
Listen to this music several times and discover the magic of this kind of music 🥂

Traditional Iranian music dates back to BC and has been passed down from generation to generation among the people to the point that the parts that were most popular with the people still remain and have become modern. In ancient Iran, there are three types of popular music, which include ritual or religious music, festive music and martial music. Original Iranian music is known as traditional Iranian music, Iranian classical music or instrumental music. Original Iranian music is a collection of instruments, songs and chants that are still going on among the people of Iran before Christ. Among the countries that have been effective and influential in the formation of this type of music, the following can be mentioned:
    middle Asia
    Afghanistan
    Pakistan
    Armenia
    Turkey
    Greece
    And ....
"Barbad", "Nakisa" and "Ramtin" are musicians and musicians of traditional Iranian music in ancient Iran. It should be noted that the original Iranian music series was registered as the first independent file of Iran in October 2009 in the list of intangible world heritage. Iranian traditional music includes items such as instruments, songs and tunes that have been around for thousands of years. It has been circulated among the people before the date of AD until today. In ancient Iran, music was at the highest level because at that time it was believed that music is the voice of God.

The music is mixed with persian traditional music which goes back about 3400 years ago persian tradition music based on Dastgahs that is principal musical model systems, there are about 7 to 12 dastgahs each determine the tune, tempo, kind of notes been used etc.
And the lyrics is actually a poem from persian poet Molana or Rumi as is known in english it was composed in mid 13th century and probebly addresses one of his students, Hesam-edin that over some circumstances isolated himself for a very long time and after he got back Rumi composed this poem to welcome him

It says, shouting out.....Go crazy......Be one hearted with me.....and express yourself. This style is new and I like it. But, for the original versions of this kind the singers used the old poems from Rumi and other Persian poets for lyrics. Mostly life lessons, love, lost love, victory or lost.... You can find the old version of this by his Father, Master Mohammad Reza Shajarian. The treditional style has been around for more than 3000 years. Persians were the first people on Earth who built music instruments which leads to today's Guitars.

This is an old song performed by several different artists.
However, Homayoun Shajarian made it into a new version, as you pointed out, a fusion of some western instruments with traditional Iranian music.
The uniqueness in his performance is the way he puts out all the words like a machinegun, wtout mising a letter or mixing them up. BRAVO.

Hey, "Heavy make up" is the name of the movie which by the way has nothing to do with the lyrics of the song. The poem is one of the Rumi's and the protagonist is talking to a higher divine being which he/she is in love with, telling them basically that he/she's losing everything to them including his/her ego. And then he/she demands a full two-ways love in return. It's an original song and the makers have made a heavy metal only by using and developing the rules of a traditional Persian music. Awesome work!

Nice Reaction!! It's a mix of traditional Persian music with some new instruments, but the main melodies are Persian with fast rythem. The lyrics is like other works of Homayoon a classical Persian poetry (I guess from Rumi or Hafez). They are often mystical, they could be about love but in more spiritual way. The translation of Persian classical poetry is hard. Even the melodies are tied to traditional vocal and cultural elements of Iran and can't be compared with other regions.

hello Matt , i have lately followed your channel , i never enjoyed the music reaction channels as much i do with you because 1- you are a musician yourself and 2- you have been doing this in your own way of experiencing music from other nations and how you described hearing foreign languages as if they musically have a role on what you hear and its genius .
about Homayoun well His father was a very VERY popular and knowledgable musician and singer and he became what he is living with his father "Mohammad Reza Shajarian" and i believe he is taking this music steps further .
in the beginning of the video after the person opens the door there is PICTURE ON THE WALL .
thats Homayoon the singer and Sohrab pour nazeri the song writer and composer of this song . and i should tell you no one had ever done this as good as they did it here. thats why its so effective.
its a very difficult thing to do .mix Persian and western music, As a Heavy metal guitarist i have seen many try to do that , but this has been the most successful so far, Enjoy . THANKS FOR THE VIDEO .

"Devil" is derived from "Deev", the two-horned humanoid in the images on screen. It is said that Alexander [from Macedonia] was NOT a human, and that he had two similar horns which he used to hide inside long hair, and under his helmet, and that every couple of years when he got a hair-cut, to ensure that his barber did not reveal his secret, Alexander killed his barber after he was finished cutting his hair, and sawing off his horns, !!!

it's hard to label, philosophy, self discovery and the ultimate love(which was in his eyes to god) on the surface he calls to someone he loves, who as always in persian poetry doesn't pay him any attention. someone here translated sanam as...mistress(!) hardly. this is not french scandal sheets. in iranian literacy "love" is something that's never achieved and it's all seeking and searching. sanam means idol and could be used as term of endorsement. literally translated something like...goddess. sanama means "the idol" not "my idol". not even on the surface he is talking about his current courtesan!
