I Love the part it says "I just had a bubble of this ocean that made me unconcise" imagine swimming in the ocean. I had no idea getting into this (meaning loving God) will breaks me apart. listening to this poem/song over hundred times still not enough.
I get the feeling that he’s talking about life . That life can take us through many trials and tribulations without us knowing why . That we don’t. Know what could destroy us within seconds yet we don’t know the answer to any thing that could or does happen to our body and souls .
Beautiful song - both the vocal and the instrumental. Both are haunting and have a texture to them that would make a phenomenal movie score. Thank you for including subtitles. I will be listening to this more than once, that's for sure!
Wow, your understanding of the song was really good, even some Persians sometimes have problems translating complexity of Rumi's poems, this song especially, kudos to you!
Your interpretation on this music was so good. I was enjoying your comments here and there, added nice element to feel this song. His voice is very beautiful. I agree, peaceful 🎆🎶 Great reaction as always.
This poem is by Rumi, experts think about what he is saying for years and years and everyone comes up with different answers, some say that this poem is describing a person who is trying to know god, and his whole life (the ocean) gets devistated after knowing just a little bit, all his beliefs (the ship) fall down, and his life turns into a desert and he gets pulled into insanity, and as u told song is somehow confusing and hypnotising to give u a little bit of the confusion and etc. that the guy mentioned above is feeling
Thanks Reza jan for your Explanations, i guess he meant this is somehow hypnotising, cause Homayoun sing the float grab me and he said no man your sound grab me, somehow pictured his sound as a float.
I am Persian. This song is about falling in love with God which is wonderful and painful at the same time. In fact, this song is kind of prayers. Talking to God and saying how wonderful is when you feel emotional stress and anxiety caused by love when you are making love to God and trying to reach him. You know these kinds of subjects are not easy to explain....
I'm persian too , man it's not about god !!! it's about just falling in pure love , please don't put idea that mullah's and sheikh's says , its like a paint or movie or statue or a dance , everyone could have his own vision about it my friend
I have been waiting for an Afghani to turn up and tell us all that Rumi was not Persian but Afghani, because Balkh is now in that made up country called Afghanistan. I leave the Turks alone for now.

This Homayoun Shajarian is the son of the great master of our country Iran, Mohammad Reza Shajarian, the great man of Iranian history. Unfortunately, he passed away some time ago and made all the people of Iran sad. He became eternal in the history of the eternal world with his heavenly voice. He taught singing to Homayoun. And now we hear his powerful celestial and beautiful voice that is unparalleled in the world. I suggest you the song (Shatak)(.Vokoli)(koly.)( Bazme to)
I just thought about this. this is like sharing a movie, or meal with a friend, when I watch your reaction, it adds to my experience and makes it more enjoyable. thank you.
I really enjoyed it as an Iranian, this song really gives a different feeling to me, I felt like I was walking in the desert with flowing sand next to a small lake With palm trees and with camels
my picture: sitting around the fire with my friends right in the middle of beautiful deserts of Yazd (beautiful city in Iran) looking at stars just chillin... cause it gives a smooth opposite sense with the rivers and oceans in music, gives me the goosebumps! How world can be complicated?!
All I can do is cry ….. every emotion …. Every experience runs through my soul … I want to reach out to GOD and ask him why ??? Why was I born ??? Why an I so lonely ???? I can’t even put it into words !
The voice goes through the skin and runs in the blood and pierces in the bones which explodes and gives such a strong emotion at the same time makes u drunk!!!
Hi, he has got a very trained voice as well as beautiful, one can imagine. This style of traditional Persian singing is called "Tahrir" which is basically trembling& shaking the voice with element of melancholy in it. I don't quite know exact synonym for it in English. I suppose there is no similar style in classical music when you listen to tenors like pavarotti. The poem is from Rumi the renown persian spiritual poet of 13th century. Although you dont understand Persian language but your reaction & analogy of this song/artist tells otherwise & a lot. Well done

This power of Iranian music and song is due to the Persian language, which has a power beyond imagination and beyond time and place
exactly...
You had explained it well. Love from iran

How could I know?

Flood my eyes with a deluge
--------------------------------------------
How could I know?
A torrent
Would carry me so sudden
And Throw me like a ship
Amidst an ocean of blood
And strike that ship with a wave
That would break every plank
And each plank would fall
In divergent spins
--------------------------------------------
A leviathan would then raise its head
And drink all the water
And such endless ocean
Would turn dry like a desert
--------------------------------------------
When these changes came to pass
Neither ocean remained nor desert
And I know not why
For this uncertain is drowned in the absolute
--------------------------------------------
Questions are abound
Yet I know none
For I drank in this sea, a morsel
From the opiate of silence
(RUMI)
