I grew up listening to Loretta, Crystal Gayle, Dolly, Tammy Wynette, along with George Jones and Conway Twitty! TRUE, real country music from its roots. Music that reminds me of how my family/parents grew up, & brings joy to hear. We love you guys!!!

My family lived all around Hurricane Mills for years, and several still do. Every time we go to visit our family, alive and....not alive :) , we have to stop at Cissie Lynn's place to get Nan Nan's pies. Plus, her place is right between my cousin's house and all of the cemeteries where my kin are buried. She's always so nice when we go in!

How is this AWESOME dance called?
That style of dance is from tribal dancing because Loretta's Mom was Cherokee. Many Native Americans were settled in the hills of Kentucky, Tennessee and NC. These are the dances they did during festivals and celebrations. If you ever have an opportunity to attend the Powwows held yearly all across America you should attend. Such rich history. Yes, I am descended from Cherokee on maternal side and know alot about these things. Not everything, but quite alot. My Cousin is an Elder on The Cherokee Nation so I guess you could say it's in my blood, pardon the pun.
