The trick is, u must maximise your page window to show the store credit option, smaller window won't show that!

So i bought the basic 100i game package and upgraded the ship to a cutty black. Im considering looking for the Corsair. When i go to upgrade ship option Corsair is not on the list so i was thinking i could use this feature to melt my current package to make the Corsair my starting ship instead of the cutty black. Do you think this would work?
You can only upgrade and buy ships that are available in the ship store. Go there first to have a look at what’s available. If the Corsair is not available to buy you won’t be able to upgrade to it or buy it. Ships become available from time to time, just gotta check the store before you do anything.

It’s not allowing me to use the store credit from melting down. I am confused why it’s not letting me. Says 51 is in my account.
If a ship is warbond, it is a cheaper variant that is currency only. Try going to the checkout and payment then looking for credit

Almost a billion dollars pumped into this game and we dont have a immediate recovery option for pledge items bought with real money.

I did yesterday the meltdown and after lunching the game and is not showing me the servers or to star the gam buttons, why? Cant play it anymore?
I don't know. Doesn't sound like it has to do with the meltdown. Unless you somehow melted your starter package.
Check if you buy back the pledge for your credit.
Does this work with armour packs as well because basically I want to buy some armour with a backpack and a weapon but I die a lot like crashing in to planets at speed in the pitch black abyss, 😂 I’m new to the game just figuring things out but upon death don’t we lose everything and I’ve heard it even means pledged armour so instead of finding my corpse I would probably crash and burn again unable to retrieve my things. I’ve read that I can melt down the armour and buy it again so I’m wanting to know if it can be done. I have faith in this game so I will hopefully stick around.
What You've heard is true. You can melt down basically anything you buy in the store. Just remember, you can't melt anything you bought within 24 hours.
@@SirMadsen thank you for the reply I will keep that in mind, I hope they fix this because I would like to buy a few things, ships aren’t an issue as they have the retrieval but armour and a backpack especially is something I need so I can start mining possibly. But for now it’s going to be cargo and stuff. I’ve had the game 3 or 4 days and still haven’t made any credits 🤭
Question, if i melt my original pledge with sq42 can i repurchase back my original, so I can start over with a new ccu upgrade?
Yes, everything you buy will end up in the buyback pledge. I still have my very first pledge from 5 years back available to buy back. I am however not sure if your original contained SQ42 that you will get SQ42 back if you melt it. I looked at my pledges and there is no mention on SQ42, but honestly I cant remember if it contained SQ42 to begin with. I think only the bigger pledges does.
But simple answer is yes you can melt it and start over. You will get the money back that your current pledge is worth with upgrades.
I checked further into this and and if your original pledge contained the SQ42 that will also be available in the buy back pledge.

Thank you that help. You have not talked about LTI. Do you lose your LTI token when you melt a ship?
Yes you do. The LTI is tied to your ship. Best you can do if you have a LTI token is to upgrade the ship, that makes the token stay.
Hi thank you for ur explanation on this topic. I have a question if I may: So if I bought the UEE EXPLORATION 2950 pack and I didn't want some of the ships in the pack. Can I only upgrade the ships in the pack or can I melt them down individually given its a pack bundle ?
No, you can upgrade single ships but you cannot melt single ships. Only the entire pack.

Thanks for the video ... I have retained to Sat Citizen this holiday season and i would like to share what i have learned so far about this topic.
so basically I wanted to melt my Aurora MR Starter pack and i was thinking of buying the standalone Cutter Ship which comes with (Life time insurance) currently listed for $40. though i was willing to pay the difference I found out the Cutter is a "WarBound" , after digging it means you cant use store credit to buy any warbound ships you are only limited to starter ships which comes with basic insurance.
This system might be good for testing standalone ships, however if you are after some perks like LTI, which RSI occasionally introduce they ask you to shake your wallet.
I have to say RSI is really complicating this process and making it confusing maybe to make more money out of this. but since we are early supporters i think they should unlock these perks to everyone.
Eventually I was a bit disappointed, though i end up paying real money for the WarBound Cutter to secure the LTI, hoping one day it will pay off when the game released 😄

I upgraded my reclaimer to the "best in the show" version. And it looks nothing like the pic and I absolutely hate it!.
Can I melt my reclaimer and buy it back?
You should be able to do that. Make sure the ship is available in the shop then melt it down and buy a new one with store credit.

You can melt it down and buy another package for your store credit. Before you accept the melting it will say how much credits you get.

Do a quick Google before and double check so you can buy packages with store credit and not just single items. I think you can but always double check.
I exchanged my aurora mr pack to $45 so i can buy the cutter thinking itll be good but i didnt expect for the aurora to come with actually accessing the game so when I bought the cutter with the money i got from the pack i was left to discover that i have to wait 24hrs before being able to exchange the cutter. So stupid if u ask me. why cant i buy the game without paying for a ship at the same time and why the long wait time before selling back the cutter

You are paying for a ship. You buy the game as a package where you get a starter ship, no?
The Aurora is worth 30$ when you upgrade. So the game is 15$ and the ship is 30$.
Will these pledge also appear when game will get release??
Yes, pledges are bought items and will always be available for you.

I see that's a good thing then another thing let's say I add UEC occasionally like 100k this month in alpha and and so on every month so will the total amount show up in next update or will the total show up in final release?
