- In this video I take great pleasure in fitting my freshly repainted and partly rebuilt Brembo callipers together with some nice new Pagid Brake discs and pads. All also show the progress I have made rebuilding the front end of my GTV together with some new Koni sport adjustable shock absorber and Eibach Pro 20mm springs.

Excellent viewing, jobs done the right way and with care, i like that.
👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The cleanliness is beautiful! Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you Sir. Much appreciated 👍🏼
Hi Rick finished a resto on my V6 gtv last year and I had my callipers refurbished at Bigg red and I was like a little boy at Christmas when I opened the box nothing looks better than bright red brembos behind those 17 inch teledials !!! 👌
Haha I have to agree 😆😎👍🏼
I must say Rick, those red Brembo calipers look good with the new discs and the Koni shocks and Eibach springs round off the look of the front suspension. I must admit that I would have chosen to upgrade to the 330mm discs and four-pot Brembo calipers from the Alfa 3.2 GT, the stopping power is awesome, more so than the standard Brembo's on the 3.0 GTV.
Amazing video. It seems to me that you are making your dreams come true.
Thank you Sir 🙏. Yes, this project is definitely something that I always wanted to do. One to tick off the bucket list for sure 👍🏼
Great addition to the channel Rick. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and your journey with us.
Thanks James 🙏😊
Looks unbelievable Rick.... you must be so pleased! 👍🏻
Not long before you'll be out on those open roads! 😃
Yupiii a new episode. Looks fantastic. I have the same brakes. Thank you.
Looking better than new! Excellent videos.
A joy for eyes :D Keep it up, and thanks a lot for filming and sharing it with us :)
I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the comment 👍🏼
Really awesome job man! Keep it up! May you enjoy it on the road soon...
Awesome work bro, channel is fantastic. Super proud of you ❤️
😘👍🏼
Quick question, Rick. Are these the Koni Sport (so NOT STR) units? You changed to supplex springs in a later video, but kept the Koni shocks?
I've always been under the impression the Konis wouldn't work with oem (or oem replacement) springs.
Masterpiece, as always. A bit of an off topic here, but wonder your opinion on the fasteners zink coating. Have you had them all electroplated or hot dipped / mechanically galvanised?
Hi. All of the hardware has been bright zinc plated followed by a de-embrittlement process to restore their tensile strength. Thanks for the comment 👍🏼
Hi Ricks, congratulation for all your project. Just a quick question. Have you restored the top mount for the front suspension? Because I have difficult to find the left side. Any suggestion?
Unfortunately the Left top mounts are no longer available at all. Impossible to find. My original top mounts seem to be ok so I just cleaned them up and repainted them.
@@_RicksGarage how did you clean it and which paint have used it?
Such a nice clean job. Hats off. I had the same dampers fit to my GTV but standard springs. Just found out the garage fitted them without bump stops or dust covers... Decided to take it apart and do it myself after watching this. Do you have a spring compressor you recommend in particular for this? I read somewhere the gtv springs can be difficult to handle...
Hi. I just used regular cheap spring clamps. A little tip though......I wrapped my springs with a strip of old bicycle inner tube to stop the clamps taking off any powder coat. Obviously you only need it where the clamps make contact.
In terms of them being difficult.....I did have to compress them as far as my clamps would allow but generally I found them to be no different than most other cars. No problem at all 👍🏼
@@_RicksGarage thank you! I'll give it a go and let you know how I got on
Where did you get the front bump stops from sir?
Hello Sir! I bought them new on eBay for £32 at the time for genuine Febi. Now they seem to have doubled in price unfortunately. The part number is 60628906. Maybe you could find them cheaper online somewhere.
Rims dimensions?
