The biggest issue for people who do this is that they get stuck on the catastrophic event that they are worried about and don't realise that life, and events, moves on after it. Always ask "And then what...?".
Also the worst things rarely happen, but if they do you'll usually be fine.

Yes exactly! I used to get such tunnel vision about worst case scenarios it was as if they felt like an inevitable outcomes, which like you say in reality is actual pretty much the opposite.
Thanks so much for sharing this - super helpful reminders ❤️

Your words resonate. A very successful stock trader who I follow once said, "if you know what the worst possible outcome is, it gives you tremendous freedom.” - Larry Hite, hedge fund manager

I love that! Yes it is that sense of freedom you get from it, it’s like that scary scenario just doesn’t seem as scary.
Makes me wonder what the hedge fund managers worst case scenarios were - lost $2 million dollars and got fired? 🤔
Thanks for sharing that quote, really helpful addition.

I've never heard it put this way. Lots to ponder as I am a Master of this technique of 'worst case scenario' ...

Ah fantastic so glad it was helpful. There’s probably quite a few of my past videos that you might find helpful in that case.
