Hey Guys, just thought I'd pop in here and say thank you for all the support! 🙏 I hope you all enjoy the video as it took ages to put together 🔥I also wanted to quickly mention a few things:
    1. In the past, many of you have said this and that about screen resolutions and said that because one phone is pushing more pixels than another it affects the battery life. Well, I have been doing battery drain tests for years now and have noticed the difference is extremely minimal (if any at all) and depending on the phone, sometimes I've seen greater battery life from a phone running at it's native QHD resolution instead of having it dropped down to FHD res. Just some food for thought 😅
    2. All phones are practically new (never been used personally) with 100% battery health, except for the iPhone 14 Pro Max which has 95% Battery Health since I have used it every day for the past year. That said, I always include the old iPhone which has been used to compare to the latest iPhone because its interesting to see how the previous iPhone performs a year later and with the new software (iOS 17). If you would like to see how the 14 Pro Max performed the very first time I tested with 100% Battery Health, then be sure to watch till the end of the video where I show this result and how it has changed over the past year 🙌
    3. I know Samsung just released OneUI 6.0, but unfortunately it's always delayed in my country (South Africa) so be sure to stay tuned for my next battery drain test where I will surely have it running on the new software 🙏
    4. I always keep all the brightness levels, apps and app running times EXACTLY the same so that you can compare these results to other SOT results within Battery Tests on MY channel 😃
    5. ALL phones are global variants so all of them are running on GLOBAL ROM 👀
    6. I know the new Xiaomi 14 Pro is out but its ONLY available in CHINA for the time being. Once I get my hands on the global version I will be testing it out. This also makes sense since the Chinese ROM version always differs in terms of SOT. But fear not, I have a couple GLOBAL Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powered phones on the way to me and will be testing them out soon ✌

    • @TechNick

@TechNick have you got any Theory on how the Magic 5 Pro manages to perform so much longer than the other Snapdragon Gen2 Phones?
      I mean:
      It's pretty much
      the same Chip
      same Ram
      same Screen Size
      same Screen Technology
      same Storage Technology
      same battery capacity
      Same Android
It's strange to have such a big disparity compared to the others.
Unless they are doing something very special (or very fishy [like very strictly confining functions]) software wise, or you having forgotten to adjust some setting, and I doubt it's the later.
Really curious what the real reason is :o
      Thanks for your work :)

I can’t believe how hot these devices were getting. I thought anything over 45C was illegal for a consumer electronics device? At 60°C you will get 2nd degree burns from just 3 seconds of contact with skin and 3rd degree burns in 5 seconds. At 55°C it’s 17 seconds and 30 seconds respectively and at 50°C it’s 2 minutes and 4.2 minutes respectively. That’s insane.

    My takes:
1/ iPhone is the most efficient as normal if you take into account battery size.
2/ iPhone is the coolest, despite all the nonsense by haters viz Titanium, A17 Pro being a dud and no vapor chamber. It beats Samsung despite the marketing spiel of using a vapor chamber when scientists acknowledge that vapor chambers on phones are really too small to be that effective.
3/ Honor is my favorite Chinese OEM with a great UI and very well-optimized.
4/ The loss of battery life on the S23U is not a shock as mine has lost even more. Not sure if it is a cheap battery (hence Samsung's refusal to allow a battery health setting), the S23U getting bloated after a few months, or just updates that make things worse.
5/ Xiaomi and heat are synonymous. I hope the Xiaomi 14 line fix that as it is bad.
6/ Pixel 8 Pro shows that Google has worked wonders optimizing its phones to be that close to the overhyped S23U.
    7/ OnePlus, not ageing well.

as far as i've seen the 15 really struggles to sustain performance in games because of the heat AND it dims its screen so much faster than samsung
also that battery degrading on the 14 is embarassing i wonder if they do it on purpose to make the 15 look good or is it natural ?
