i've just got a 13t pro and I absolutely love it - honestly you'd have to be soft in the head to pay double the price for the iPhone or the S23 when there's great options for literally half the price out there!
For me, the Pixel 8 has the best all-round capabilities. I wish google would install real high-end hardware with a reasonable battery performance. The focal length of the main camera is also far too wide-angled, I would prefer 35mm or 28mm like Nubia.
the reason they don't, they wanna keep the prices down and be cheaper than the competition, that's literally their second main selling point, AI is the main, and value for money is the second selling point along with camera quality
Honestly i feel like the pixel is capable enough and has features that many of the other flagships don't (mostly talking about the ai) and the pixel 8 pro has improved its battery it seems, at least thats what the reviewers say like mkbhd and many others. I pre ordered mine and I hope I will not be dissapointed

The price of the 15 Pro Max vs the Pixel 8 though. Pixel 8 wins for overall quality of photos and value for money. but that's just my way of rating these.
In Kenya, East Africa, you can buy 3 xiaomi 13T for a price of one iPhone 15 pro max. So this is an easy win for me for Xiaomi, it does a great job for it's price.
If I were an iPhone fan like you, I would also tell myself that maybe it was doing something right 🤣. I had the opportunity to personally compare the iPhone with the two phones you have in the test: Xiaomi 13t Pro and Samsung s23 ultra. The iPhone takes the worst photos, they are overcolored and unnatural, but children may like them.

I had 4 guests over. I muted the video. I would pause the video and we would vote for each segment. In the end we liked the pixel more, followed by the S23. Also, the Pixel is lower priced and comes with a watch. Its a no brainer.

It's comparision just compare based on user prefrences not what object look natualy in human light. For comparing with natural colors, there should be a DSLR version side by side these high end phones to show which one makes most natural looking photo
Interesting comparison, I’d have liked this to have also included more daytime video. Loved the night time video tests including Timelapse, though this in combo with daytime video with for instance cinematic video would’ve been cool to see
I've done camera comparisons in the past but I was talking to a few friends of mine and comparing the pics in our phone libraries, almost ALL of them were taken in low-light, either at night or indoors somewhere. So that made me lean in to night mode comparisons specifically :)
Why does everyone insist on testing the S23 Ultras 10X lens INSTEAD of it's 3X lens at night? 10X is not meant for night shots at all, and I take alot of shots with my 22 Ultras 3X lens at night, which it does tremendously better in. I didn't see a single mention of the 3X lens in this comparison, just 5X and 10X. Not thorough at all.

Great comparison, for me, to my surprise the Xiaomi won, followed by iPhone and then Pixel. At the end of the day you could go with any phone because they all look decent. It would be great if you could do daytime comparison, even better if you could hide which phone the photo was taken on and then reveal it about 3 second later to avoid bias.

I loved the Comparison but i think that the iphone was the worst in the zoom soorhness because of the insane noise and i think that the 25x zoom of the pixel was the best because you can see more than only the clock comperd to the Samsung but it was a great Comparison.
Because he used the pro max and in low light the 5x telephoto is terrible so the phone uses the main camera and crops in digitally. I would say with the 15 Pro and the 3x telephoto the result would be better.
Never lose a pixel on the camera, perhaps there are points on the smartphone where it loses, but not on the camera. You can delete the video straight away.
Why do you like oversharpened picture so much ? You kept giving points to the phone with most overhsarpening which is weird. I mean people doesnt see things in that way .
The biggest issue I'm having with this video is the fact that the Xiaomi isn't used properly. It is all about the Leica peel that comes with using the camera. You have to select certain settings for your pictures to turn out professional. It is not an "instant grab it out your pocket and shoot" kinda phone. 😅

I have bought the Xiaomi 13t pro, mostly just because of the price performance ratio. The loading speed in particular is fantastic. But honestly, if there was a global version of the Oppo Find X6 pro, I would definitely have gotten it. I think the Oppo would beat all of these phones in this camera comparison. Perhaps it would be released more or less the same price like the Xiaomi 13t pro. Unfortunately there is no release planned.
I don’t know why samsung is in the comparison. Is the 23 ultra better than s24 ultra because I hated s24 ultra night photos and I think it’s the worst . on the ultra wide at 4:48 you can see the text on the door more clearly on the iphone, all the others are blurry, so i wouldn't say it was the worse. and if you edit i am pretty sure it will be better than the others

I switched from the Huawei P30 Pro to the Pixel 8 Pro and I'm not so sure yet. At first glance, the photos aren't much better. If you then zoom in here, you can of course see that the P30 pro lacks details. Nevertheless, I find the Huawei's photos more pleasing without zooming in. Then there is the issue of software. The Pixel 8 pro has probably frozen 2-3 times. Strangely enough, most mornings after getting up, I suddenly couldn't close the alarm app (clock). Other apps can also be laggy and sometimes freeze for a few seconds. Quite strange. RUclips Music drains the battery like crazy... an hour of listening to music takes away 15-20% of the battery. The phone definitely gets very warm. Even today I could clearly feel it through the cover. On RUclips Music, change background images, while looking at pictures on “Photos”. Compared to my Huawei, which was always fluid, never crashed and always stayed cool, it was actually a disaster. I'm thinking about returning the phone... I'm not sure yet. Actually, the camera is one of the most important things to me... let's see.
I have a different opinion about video. I've had a lot of phones for testing and although I don't use an iPhone as a daily, the iPhone video has a certain look, maybe more depth, less digital and it seems more smooth. So in my opinion the iPhone has the best video although it's not the brightest or best color.

Xiaomi is the price-performance winner and with the price savings I could live well with only less compromises. Otherwise, the difference between the Pixel and the iPhone (Pro) is so small that personal taste will probably be the deciding factor due to the look of the smartphones.
Thanks for this great video. I think the 8pro wins, as it is cheaper than the iPhone. It would be interesting to compare cost per point for each phone based on average street price😉. I would guess the 8pro comes out as a clear winner.

You can force the iPhone to use Night mode and that’s what you should have for a fair comparison.

The best Xiaomi 13 series that's available globally is the 13 Pro. The newer T series has lower specs and crippled in quite a few areas.

Compared to my Huawei, which was always fluid, never crashed and always stayed cool, it was actually a disaster. I'm thinking about returning the phone... I'm not sure yet. I have a different opinion about video. I've had a lot of phones for testing and although I don't use an iPhone as a daily, the iPhone video has a certain look, maybe more depth, less digital and it seems more smooth. So in my opinion the iPhone has the best video although it's not the brightest or best color.

Xiaomi is the price-performance winner and with the price savings I could live well with only less compromises. Otherwise, the difference between the Pixel and the iPhone (Pro) is so small that personal taste will probably be the deciding factor due to the look of the smartphones.

Thanks for this great video. I think the 8pro wins, as it is cheaper than the iPhone. It would be interesting to compare cost per point for each phone based on average street price😉. I would guess the 8pro comes out as a clear winner.
