  • Oral isotretinoin is a very effective medication for treating severe acne. It is not meant for everyone, but for those suffering from scarring nodulocystic acne, or inflammatory acne that keeps coming back after rounds of oral antibiotics, it can life-changing. It is the best medication out there in our attempts to "cure acne."
    Majority of individuals will experience significant improvement with one treatment course; and may continue to have minimal to mild acne years after.
    It is a strong medications with side effects, and it is a commitment, requiring a monthly visit to a dermatologist for 5-6 months, or more. In the US, oral isotretinoin is prescribed under strict supervision and patients are counseled carefully before starting.
    As always goal is to achieve better and healthier skin, not perfect skin! #acneawarenessmonth
    Love to hear about your #acnejourney #Accutane

    • @Jaa_morant
      @Jaa_morant 6 месяцев назад

      @@omran2507 it depends on the severity of the problem. I had 6 years of acne before and because of that lots of post acne spots on cheeks so in my case even after 6 months they are visible( fading very slowly). Maybe if u didn’t have acne for long your relatively new post acne will go faster. Anyways, 5 days is nothing man. You should stop breaking out first which may take 2-3 motnhs, and then start seeing results.
      I’m still taking the medicine and slowly starting to use cosmetic procedures like flash therapy now to heal discolouration in my face.
      I’m ready that overall the process may take up to a year. But it’s better than any other stuff, I wasted 6 years using other methods and only accutane worked

    I figured out the secret to Accutane. I took it when I was 15 for six months and the only side effect I did not want to have was the dryness and dry chapped lips. I had done a lot of research on it and my cousins took it as well so I knew quite a bit about the drug and how bad ppls lips would get and some would bleed. Nothing else worked for me my back looked like a pepperoni pizza so it was my last resort I needed to take it. But I just DID NOT want the chapped dry lips no matter what. Then I thought if accutane is going to basically suck all the fluid out of my body if I keep hydrating myself maybe it will help? I drank 4-6 L of water every single day when I was on acccutane for a full six months. Even tho I lived in the bathroom a lot It helped tremendously. It first gets worse your initial breakout before it starts to get better but I wore my chapstick and drank my water and my lips were good. Skin was a little dry but nothing lotion couldn’t fix. The constant rehydrating is what saved me and made everything so much easier. After 2.5 months my skin became clear I remember getting compliments all over I was very happy and now I’m 29 and it’s still going well. But that is the secret. You HAVE TO DRINK 4L atleast every single day while on it trust me it will help you soooo much. Accutane is going to literally suck all the fluid out of your system but if you keep hydrating it won’t be nearly as bad. Anyone who’s on it or looking to go on it please do this and watch how much easier your treatment will be. I promise. God Bless
