Loved it, Nikki! I found it interesting that many people in Europe don't use fitted sheets. They just tuck a regular sheet around the mattress in a hospital fold manner. You look lovely in that color! xx

Hi, Jennifer! Yeah you are right, but we also use fitted sheets. I use both. Actually, I could never understand how many layers of sheets you (Americans) put on your bed, here we only put one layer and we are done. It is a puzzle for me 😆😆

Spanish people use fitted sheets, top sheet and in the winter a lot of them use blankets as many don’t have central heating. Even in Europe people have different customs. The not using fitted sheets I believe may be more of and English thing (I have lived in England for over 20 years). English people mostly just have a duvet, a sheet and a couple of pillows in bed.

We use fitted sheets in NZ and Australia (with some people using top sheet) plus duvet/doona (aussie) on top. Blankets don't seem to be used much these days. Great way to fold sheets, Nikki and will certainly try that method.

Ahhh this is great! When I saw this I was getting ready for bed, but I immediately got out my extra set of sheets and re-folded my fitted sheet! That is something that has always illuded me (like your grandmother) and you make it sooo easy! Thanks so much for sharing! Now I feel like a homemaking queen too!

When ever I open a new package I look closely how it unfolds no matter what it is just in case I have to return the item. That's how I learned how to fold my sheets and certain garments a long time ago. By the way your hair style looks nice and the sleeve length on your dress complements you.

I tidied my linen and towel closet after the video last week where we saw you folding sheets. Just as well, because I then had unexpected visitors and they needed extra sheet sets for mattresses. Well, I just went straight to the closet and they were all there, in size order and tidy. Oh, I cannot tell you how much stress that took off me, not trying to unfold every sheet to see what size it was!!! Thank you Nikki.

I find it so important to have at least two sets of sheets, too. When you have little ones and someone can so easily spill or be sick even in the night you need to be able to get a fresh set on right away, and not be waiting for one to dry ( I don’t have a dryer so it’s even more applicable in my case). I look at Second hand stores so that I can afford back-up sheets and I have really gotten some nice quality sets this way, probably higher thread count than I would normally be able to purchase!

We use fitted sheets in Belgium and my MIL taught me how to fold them! :) I live this series, Nikki, it is like chatting with a friend who shares the same interests! And you definitely help me feel like a home queen: your inspiration in admiring small things, presenting your best when it comes to feminine style and paying attention at decorating details., "These are the few of my favorite things!" :)

😂 I've had a knack for picking up most domestic things better than my family so I get the humor of the interactions. I like the crisp 100% cotton old school sheets and using flat sheets with hospital corners when I'm not in a hurry. Then I can stock up on one kind of sheet. When I do buy sets I look for the sets with the ruffles or eyelet styling at the top of the flat sheet. This is where I'm not minimalistic in a how many items sense but it saves your time and makes your life better which is what it's all about to me. Can't imagine having one set if someone gets sick on it or it's hot outside.

Concerning the decanting of skincare products. It’s really not advised to do this because It decreases the shelf life of a product. However if you are going to do that you must use a jar that has a seal and you must use a spatula to scoop out the product. Using your fingers introduces a lot of bacteria into the jar which can make the formula unstable and break down any active ingredients. (I am a skin specialist and have done a lot of research into product formulations)
I thoroughly enjoyed the fitted sheet tutorial, I will have to give that a try ASAP!

💐 I love your style in clothing and decorating. Also your colors have always been my favorites! I don’t know if I should ask this question or not, but every time I sit here watching your video and admiring you, this question pops up in my mind. In the last year I have gained 30 pounds after getting last September within 11 pounds of my ideal weight. I am horrified! My question is this, “What would you do if you found yourself in this very disturbing state? 😊. Thanks! ❤️👠👛💄🌸👍👍

That is right, folding a fitted sheet drives me mad. You could call me Grammy.😊
But I look forward to learning and making progress.
A possible solution for your pretty pink jar...to help it seal, try finding a rubber band that goes around the base jar and the lid can fit snuggly over it...

If, when you have your long skinny rectangle, you fold in from each side (instead of folding 4 times from one end), you get a much neater finish bundle.
    Just my two euro-cents' worth

Hi Nikki, You are so gorgeous and I love watching your channel. ❤️Thank you for inspiring me and many individuals every day. I see that you wear a beautiful dress throughout the day. Through cooking and cleaning. Do you have concerns that your dress might smell like the food you cook at home while you are out in public around people. When I cook in my nice dress and then leave my house to go out, close people around me would tell me that I smell like food, and it’s really embarrassing for me. What do you do? Do you change to a different dress or just wear the same one all day?
