Tata is pure overrated crap. Apart from the build quality, everything is so Notupto-the-mark here. Engine is the most unethusiastic & gruff. Grossly unrefined. Poor experience overall. Tata runs like a govt company with asshole Ass & dealership experience.
The only vehicle that would have have stood ground with the Innova would have been the TATA Hexa. We booked the XUV700 and decided to cancel and go with the evergreen Innova, apart from the drive quality and reliability, service issues was the major contributing factor to our decision change.
Nothing can beat the Innova as a Comfortable Family Mover. A case in point being our latest 8 hour plush ride from Cbe to Che offered by a 2010 Model Taxi that has run 2 lakh plus km with 5 people on board including elderly people & children and holiday luggage

Innova definitely stands for being rugged everlasting, huge respect three times i tried buying it but failed in feeling and comfort test. This is complete a acid test for a machine on a very specific condition of drive and compare. During my 20 Kms + test drives of all three with my family on same road found Innova not so comfortable overall in average road condition in city compared to XUV and Safari. Few major factors body roll, heavy steering, no well tuned suspensions etc, rear seat passengers felt lil dizzy in Innova though XUV and Safari won over that. Somehow Safari's hydraulic steering felt better too. I would like to see a human feeling test too, which helps people to choose better options among three or would say four equally good options is MG hector plus too.
It's possible that your tyres are over-inflated. I experienced this in my Crysta and when I brought down the air pressure to recommended levels the comfort became fantastic.
All 3 SUVs are almost same on-road price. Here Innova is over priced, that is the problem. For day to day life ADAS & auto stop cruise kind of features would be very useful. That way i like xuv 700, but unnecessary sunroof, reduces its body strength is also one major drawback there. Safari is under powered.
Once you buy an Innova you don't go back. You will be addicted to the car, you can just feel the difference in quality, something you can never describe with words and with numbers on a paper. Oh true brother hexa is one kind of a suv... It's fire. I recently rode my friends hexa automatic wat a power just feels so premium. No idea y they stopped it must be cos of its cost.
Hexa was a legend....tata should realaunch it...
@Ramesh Raju if you own or driven the car once you wouldn't say them the only reason it was sold less was it's pricing. The automatic version they sold so much that it went out of stock. Ppl demanded vehicle even after it stopped. It's having good market in second hand too
For the fundamentals and so called SUV'ness Innova is the dominator as its a rear wheel drive ladder frame MPV. Mann It just changed my perspective to Innova !!
I had a crush on XUV and my love was Safari..but seems like Innova is the real Queen here !
Secondly..I'd like to thank entire ZigWheels CD team for making these comparisons so much entertaining to all, be that like us automobile enthusiast or any neutral viewer.
I thing i'm felling in love with all of you guys !!..... Don't get me wrong xD
My request to go for full family test drive in this 3 separate cars on same day.... my perspective was same as yours.
but after family test drive, 7OO feels ahead of 2.safari and then 3.INNOVA.
Even XUV suspensions are best and features are ahead. steering is also perfect with modes and ADAS. AWD 700 Can corner better than this one in video
safari looks and ergonomics are better than innova..
Innova feels real taxi/tourist vehicle is my verdict
@@abhijeetchavan13 😂😂 taxi 🤣🤣
@@subhrobaur7137 because, many people waiting to go ahead raise their hand for lift if innova comes.....they think Taxi is coming

@@abhijeetchavan13 Ghanta fortuner vibes
@@abhijeetchavan13 Buy a vehicle if its used as Taxi because it'll be reliable.
Innova is real SUV with mini van design. While other 2 are Crossovers with SUV design.
You should add a twist with TATA HEXA(4*4) being added…
It's a discontinued car... There's no point to add it in this comparison
I was already a proud owner of Innova Crysta but after watching this video i’m mind blown. Rather than giving fancy features, toyota is giving reliability
The water jar test should be replaced with a G-sensor or similar module. Results would be more accurate and true to the test.
Because of the heavy taxation system, Toyota has not scaled in India. Else, if see in West, Toyota is dominating and will put any car to shame.
I agree but Innova is 7 lakh costlier, i could fit a Tiago in between.
Haha.. true... but Innova will last longer than your both Xuv700 and Tiago due to its impressive reliability
@@pakaboss007 Always don't bring up reliability. No one using cars for 10+ years now a days. Value is more important than long term reliability. And all cars have become decently reliable now with proper maintenance.
@@rahulkrish9840 Reliability is not only for 10+ years. You can see there are lot of videos on youtube regarding issues of Xuv700 and Safari. I am also huge fan of Indian brands and really want them to grow and provide better service and product to their end customer.
I am aware that both are newly launched car and will take some time to address few critical customer concerns, just like what happened eith Skoda Kushaq. Innova is just vert practical and established 7 seater as of now.
@@rahulkrish9840 cars are not cell phone, if you don't use a depreciating asset for more than 10 years, you are either extremely rich or extremely stupid. And most Indians car owners are not extremely rich
Lol, we have the XUV700 AX7L AWD+AT variant and it is perfect in some of our non existent roads in North East. It also works perfectly in the hills. We have an Innova (non crysta) as well and the AWD on the XUV700 (while not the best), does it’s job with no issues. No troubles climbing steep slopes and doing 120kmph on highways.
Edit: Maybe try comparing the AWD model next time.
Yes
2 wheel drive should be compared to 2 wheel drive no? Not fair to compare 2 wheel drive with AWD or 4WD.
It's just about the appearance.
If the bonnet and the windshield of Innova was tweaked to look like an SUV, it's sales would triple.
MPV gives a soccer mom vibe.
best comparision ever done.......this test shows that why toyota cars are bit expensive with minimum features from its rivals.
Excellent review… Made my day… Brought smile to my face, just a week before I am getting my (already booked) Innova VX delivered… Thanks a ton 👍🏼
Always Toyota 1st Engine reliable, sefty, durability, good Suspention, feel proud as a member of Toyota family.. No extra features matters practicle car /MPV we choose..
Rear wheel drive doing wonders for the cars capabilities
Xuv 700 looks , features , luxury and power is always op my fav xuv700 💪💕🖤
Cars will come and go ..
But the Innova will stay !
Innova is Innova
Well said
I don't care about the features, Innova is the undisputed king. Proud owner of Innova Crysta 2020 facelifted model. Highly satisfied with the car.
Boys: XUV700
Men: SAFARI
LEGENDS: INNOVA
Here in the philippines, a lot of people are buying the diesel innova as they fear toyota will discontinue the car. I am going to get that 2.8 1GD engine too.
hey nice to hear i just bought a 2.4 v aswell and its really powerful
Excellent, innovative and fun Comparo.
Really the Innova surprised. Ladder on frame makes all the difference.
Well-done guys. Thanks 👍
One of the best myth buster video. I am a proud owner of safari2.0 but I will now look at Innova with much more respect .
Great Review! Would have loved to see how the Innova would have fared in these very tests against the good old Tata Hexa.
Yes
Waste hexa
If hexa is father then Innova is his father bro
@@jomonjiya Hexa has a 4x4 system with drive modes and a fantastic ride quality that would put many SUVs to shame. I think it can hold its own against the Innova.
Exactly, here the so-called safari doesn't pay tribute to the legendary dicor safari. Tata hexa in that sense would have made much more sense. Especially with its AWD or RWD body on frame setup.
perfect, just what the doc ordered! XUV felt the most stable despite more understeer compared to Innova
Innova is the most practical vehical among all
I can trust innova any time ... I still remember how innova effortlessly drove through rough terrain of spiti...
This cars has no replacement.
Informative video. I always knew rear-wheel drive will help while going uphill but really good to see this is application. Handling of the innova is also a surprise.
Can you try the same uphill climb on an XUV700 AWD? This will truly test how good the AWD is.
The problem is AWD is not 4wd, it's used for quick accelerations rather than off-roading. You can not switch it ON and OFF. Also it's defaulted FWD, RWD only gets activated depending on the electronics, nothing manual can be done.
@@siddhanthshetty6920 AWD is supposed to provide torque/power to rear wheels depending on the situation which is what I would like to see. A typical 4wd with 4H or differential lock will easily do it, no ambiguity there.
@@siddhanthshetty6920 if you turn it on then you will get better traction than rwd innova
@@pratyushkishore9030 Exactly, I agree. But what you said cannot be done. Because you don't have the facilities to do that.
@@siddhanthshetty6920 you have a button to keep awd on in xuv700 all the time. It deflects power to rear as well as front axle in 60:40 ratio
I honestly loved Ameys energy in this video. I've been watching him since he was in Autocar and I think he's been the happiest in this video.
This is what happens when you use overgrown hatchbacks as SUV. Especially the Safari. If you want to implement a monocoque platform, then copy the entire awd architecture as well.
Safari has land rover platform which has been tested on all kinds of terrain in multiple countries..in this video rear wheel drive made the difference.
Seen alot of videos and i was confused between XUV and Innova, but then i found this video I’m 100% that i need Innova because of rear wheel drive. 🔥 🔥 🔥
Safari loved it ❤️
14:50 goosebumps moments
The Innova - 15 year old legendary machine being unbeatable in the mechanicals and engineering front is something great.
Tushar and Arun, you guys are awesome and have great on-screen chemistry.

I agree... If you have been to "leh" then you will see "Innova" running like a charm!!
Innova with more powerful engine and some tech could bring those 2 cars to candle light!!
it’s already overpriced , with all these you mentioned the price gap would widen even more

Innova is the iphone of cars
Androids and counterparts can come with tons of features and next-gen looks but the quality, class, and the life will be supreme in Innova
Androids are better if you buy a s22 ultra (for sane comparision)
I love Linux too.
So I like the xuv700 too.
How can a front wheel drive XUV be an SUV even at the first place?...
Tushar and Amey are the modern day Laurel and Hardy. Always bring a smile on my face watching them together in a video. 🥳🥳🥳👌👌👌
I would be confused about which front wheeled 7 seat suv to buy the Tata Safari or the Xuv700. But I would buy the Toyota Innova without a second thought. Why? Because it's built to last.

Don't mind but can you guys bring that comparion video also with AWD varaint.

Sorry haven't noticed it.
Will wait for your guys come up with a review on XUV700 AWD. Many people might not be aware of the potential or the limit of the AWD varaint, it will lot of owners or people who are going to own it in future.

I was recently thinking about tyres change and I remembered your Video.
Why don't you guys do a test with all cars having common tyres like a sporty goodyear or continental as then the playing field will be same and you get see the real performance of each Vehicle.
I know it's not easy and cheap but tyre to get a tyre sponsor and do it.

@tusharkamath9520 do you have the guts to do another comparison with the scorpioN involved or are you too afraid to shatter your own narrative?
After watching numerous reviews and this video cleared all confusions. Getting an Innova 👍 Thankyou for some practical tests.
That's a wonderful review, the most technical and accurate tests to help people choose the best car. A drag race would have completed the full review.
Indian car manufacturers still have a long way to compete with Japanese car manufacturer. Hope to see them grow and be the best in the market soon. #Atmanirbhar_Bharat
Humble innova family mpv owner here! 😎🤓
Lot of new electronics in XUV and Safari which is really a test for reliability. Gadgets were pulling many customers who should not be disappointed.
Innova no much gadgets and whatever they have may work for long time.
Driving an MPV like this is really dangerous.
Who are saying innova crysta is overpriced now you can see in this video why Toyota takes extra charge
@5:16 the guy in white and black shirt experienced real thrill of safari. #Nothing happened, it just took a curve....It rocks
Safari didn't even stand anywhere 🤣🤣🤣. Would really love to see the XUV AWD comparison with Innova, same tests though.
I remember the old comparison between both these legends and would love similar kind of review once again.(may be a sequel)
Tata is pure overrated crap. Apart from the build quality, everything is so Notupto-the-mark here. Engine is the most unethusiastic & gruff. Grossly unrefined. Poor experience overall. Tata runs like a govt company with asshole Ass & dealership experience.

This is one of the best comparisons I have found till date ♥️ Appreciate your team and colleagues efforts 🔥 Thanks a bunch 👍
XUV700 also has a 4-Wheel drive option
The only vehicle that would have have stood ground with the Innova would have been the TATA Hexa.
We booked the XUV700 and decided to cancel and go with the evergreen Innova, apart from the drive quality and reliability, service issues was the major contributing factor to our decision change.
Ditch the two and pick the innova 🔥
Nothing can beat the Innova as a Comfortable Family Mover. A case in point being our latest 8 hour plush ride from Cbe to Che offered by a 2010 Model Taxi that has run 2 lakh plus km with 5 people on board including elderly people & children and holiday luggage
Another superb comparison from Zig wheels team after Alto/Kwid/Spresso. 🥰🥰 Tushar bhai..though we missed your niece's drawing test, this comparison stands alone with unique presentation. Thanks, Team.
You guys nailed it…We actually don’t have proper SUV’s…It’s just eye catching to see them but they are bad at all round performance
We Indians call everything with ground clearance is an SUV, even my grandpa'$ 🚜
Toyota Innova Anyday ❤️❤️
King is really Innova. Thats y it sells more than any so called SUVs..
I own Innova Crysta. Its Second row and third-row comfort are not so good. Surprised with the water test
It's possible that your tyres are over-inflated. I experienced this in my Crysta and when I brought down the air pressure to recommended levels the comfort became fantastic.
@@JkuTony I kept the recommend level only in full load also. Even though comfort is not good on undulating road and patchy area.
Covered north Sikkim in Innova with 4 friends without a single inconvenience. True SUV.
Kaun sa varient compare kr lia bro, xuv700 diesel strts with 17 lakh on other hand innova crysta diesel strts with 23 lakh, 6 lakh tht a huge
Once you buy an Innova you don't go back. You will be addicted to the car, you can just feel the difference in quality, something you can never describe with words and with numbers on a paper.
Innova made me believe in the quote " You get what you pay for".
There is nothing pretentious about the Innova, you get what you pay for and you will clearly see that after 4 years of ownership with minimal breakdowns and maximum mileage.
