Maddie, your videos have so much entertainment value. You are so energized and passionate about cooking I really enjoy watching you make all these beautiful dishes. I am retired and live alone and cook for myself most days. Vegan healthy cooking is labor intensive but you show us ways to make it easier. You also encourage us to innovate with what we have on hand by suggesting alternate uses for our ingredients.
So glad you enjoyed, Sally! 🤗🤗 Vegan cooking definitely can be labor intensive, but glad you are finding the tips to make it easier helpful. Really appreciate your kind words! 💕🌱
5 yummy 😋 black bean recipes Maddie. Another excellent video and black beans are full of protein so you don't have to worry about not getting enough protein. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕❤Maddie & Q.
You must be the most cheery and pleasant person on You Tube! I'm new to the plant based lifestyle and love your channel and your cheery, smiling demeanor. :) Thanks for so much great info! Keep up the awesome work.
This was a wonderful excellent presentation of black bean recipes!!!!! These were quite practical because it was easy; ingredients were items most people have and are familiar with. Thank you sooooooooo much !
I am thrilled to find you. Such great info. and wonderful recipes. Have been vegan 12 years but I have learned so much more watching your videos. Can't wait to try out all these wonderful recipes
Everytime I search for "recipes using black beans" Google just shows me plain black beans with some seasonings... I'm like... No that's not what I meant. Your video is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!!!
My Costco here in Colorado only sells canned beans. I get dried beans elsewhere but not in those quantities or quality (Walmart vs Costco quality). Thank you for posting these great videos, they're very helpful for my culinary journey😃
Oh interesting! Yes I love seeing the variations across Costcos. I actually never used to shop there when I lived in California (wasn’t really bulk shopping at 19 lol! 😆) but even the Costcos here in Toronto vary from store to store. It’s great you can access dried beans elsewhere though. And yay! So glad you find these vids helpful! 😊 That makes me so happy to hear.
@@BettyHorn Thank you! I have been there, but at that time wasn't looking for beans. I'll check it out. I lived in Colorado Springs, then the Denver area, then the mountains and now finally the high plains east of Springs. I love this state😃

Great video Maddie 🥰🤗 thanks for sharing. I'm loving the meal prep ideas Have finally seen an egg replacement here so will definitely be able to try breakfast casserole 🥳 All the recipes look fabulous. Can't wait to try them all.... think I can still get my hands on mangoes 🥭 💞
Oh nice! The egg replacements are such a game changer. JUST is so yummy and soo realistic. 😋😋 If you can't find mangoes feel free to sub with other fruit as well! Thank you for your sweet comment as always. 🤗💕
Ooooh I love that! I definitely need to start making that breakfast casserole more often because they are so dang easy. 😄 And YES! Brownies after breakfast are a must (for those who like sweets! 😜).

Hi, thank you for these black bean recipes. I have cans of black beans leftover from Hurricane prep and I have no idea what to do them. I love the black bean breakfast bake and it’s giving me ideas on what to make for lunch. I’m not vegan or plant based so I’ll be adapting these recipes for my own taste. Either way, they look easy enough to add or replace Ingredients to our liking. Keep it up!
Thank you for sharing how easy it can make meals ahead of time. I just subscribed and looking forward to learning more. I don't eat a vegan diet, but I would like to incorporate vegan meals dishes throughout the week.
First pos of your's I've seen. Great job!! Why black beans? Because I have a 22 lb bag to use up, lol..! I'll have to take a look at your chic pea post!
Sorry to bother, but I didn't notice if you mentioned how long the breakfast casserole needs to bake in the oven and at what temperature. Could you please provide me with these details? Can't wait to try this dish!
Hi Katherine! Not a bother at all. 🤗🤗 The full recipe & directions are in the description box of this video! I just checked up there and it says bake @ 375F for 45 mins. Enjoy!
@LetsEatPlants just different ones. For those of us with illnesses, we have to do 2 or 3 ..10 minute boil and rinses ,then soak all night with whet or baking soda then rinse, then cook, but ,better to pressure cook.
I get bulk beans and lots of other bulk goods from either Organic Matters in BC, Bloom organics in Ontario or Online organics. Singal's in Montreal also has lots of beans/ethnic foods at good prices. The shipping for OM is getting crazy now and as well the basic prices going up for each item-so trying to stock up a little now before it's prohibitive-lol. They even have storage food grade containers. I do prefer organic beans/seeds if possible because my understanding is they spray conventional beans/seeds and grains with glyphosate as a desiccant (drying agent) to speed up the drying process to process faster and discourage mold-not a fan of a tiny amount of poisoning with each meal if I can help it-we get enough just living on this planet these days-lol. The additional cost can hard to justify/manage at times though and I do realize getting the diversity of nutrients in and all the other benefits you get are still very worth it. BTW I think I've seen hash browns with a similar ingredient list in Whole foods while visiting Ottawa-sadly none in my city. I love the range and practicality of ideas, inspiration you bring to your videos-very inspirational and helps to encourage diversity with our diets and limits food waste with the foodstuff we've already purchased!
I hear you on the prices!! Been stocking up on a few things as well. 😔😔 Good to know about the glyphosate on beans!! I did *not* know that! 😥 I agree about the pricing of organic vs. conventional, such a shame it has to be like that. Thank you so much for the kind words about my video as well. 🤗🤗

Thank you so much! And great question. 😆 Q and I can have pretty different tastes on certain foods (as I've probably mentioned! LOL) but he absolutely loved the casserole, the mango salsa & the cilantro lime dressing (I literally caught him licking it out of the tupperware 😂). So I ate all the salads, while he enjoyed the rest with me. 😊 I froze about half the brownies since it was too much for us to eat even over a few days. They make an excellent "thaw & eat" treat!
@@LetsEatPlants **Thanks for answering. Yes - you absolutely have said Q doesn't eat 100% WFPB. It's nice that he's willing to give it all a try. I mean, when you've got someone making the food for you, how could you not?
It really does! But it actually wasn't to fudgey in reality. I've made way fudgier (like sweet potato brownies)... I think the oats balance the texture nicely. 😊
Hi Maddie. I just subscribed to your channel and thank you for this video! Can you please help me find a product in the US similar to the potato product you used? I would be so grateful.
