So true. Historical items such as these are living reminders that we should never forget..so it doesn't repeat again, while also being a strong evidence for holocaust deniers.

The fact that there is even a term known as holocaust deniers is fucking mind blowing to me. There are people who truly believe EVERYTHING is a conspiracy theory despite irrefutable evidence.

Kevin Renner - The British had/started the concentration camps back during the Boer war where they interred only women and children in order to suppress the resistence. According to official accounts, 26.000 women and children died during it's existence.
"The camps were poorly administered from the outset and became increasingly overcrowded when Kitchener's troops implemented the internment strategy on a vast scale. Conditions were terrible for the health of the internees, mainly due to neglect, poor hygiene and bad sanitation. The supply of all items was unreliable, partly because of the constant disruption of communication lines by the Boers. The food rations were meager and there was a two-tier allocation policy, whereby families of men who were still fighting were routinely given smaller rations than others[67] The inadequate shelter, poor diet, bad hygiene and overcrowding led to malnutrition and endemic contagious diseases such as measles, typhoid and dysentery to which the children were particularly vulnerable. [68] Coupled with a shortage of modern medical facilities, many of the internees died."
The Americans removed the constitutional rights and imprisoned Japanese-Americans in similar camps as well throughout the war. They also of course interred American indians as well that were starved to submission with the cost of hunmdreds of thousands of lifes over the course of 20-25 years.
The German concentration camps suffered the same kind of neglect as the British boer camps, and failing maintenance due to the continuous bomb runs that severed supply routes and destroyed transports.
The red cross cited numbers of casualties in the 75 to 100.000 mark at the end of the war.
6 million is a fraudulent figure.
Before the concentration camps the German state had signed the Haavara Agreement with zionist jews with the aim to transfer jews (with portion of their assets) to the British mandatory Palestine. Which was ongoing until the war broke out.
The acts of trying to solve things peacefully with agreements is enough to show that their intentions were not to set the stage for any monstrous holocaust. The British had all the motives in the world; to not only start a war with Germany (which they were explicit about) but also to defame and prevent another rise of such a successful competition, that had not only surpassed the greatest empire in the world financially but also gotten rid of joblessness (and worse in the eyes of the ango-americans) to improve even cultivating the workers rights and liberation from taxation; and heavy repurcussions for private companies that transgressed against the environment and harming the culture and social life of it's citizens.

Love you on Pawn Stars Craig and now I've subscribed to your channel.
I think we should embrace and never deny our history. And we can learn from the mistakes of others. This is how we grow and make better decisions.
I hate when people start erasing and denying our history and erasing it like it never happened. Example Civil War anyone.

    • @kg6qzx
      @kg6qzx 6 лет назад

Couldn’t have said it better myself! Spoken like a true intellectual. The Civil War is also a wonderful example. An awful event, but much was learned and gained. Many have not bothered to truly understand all the events that occurred during the Civil War. Trying to erase events from history is just silly and a form of censorship and intolerance in itself.

These items might seem "creepy" when examined in a vacuum, but we had our own versions of this exact same material. Soldier toys and pocket knives for kids, racist Disney cartoons, what have you. It also needs to be understood that cultural militarism didnt suddenly materialize in 1938 Germany. The Teutonic identity has always revolved around martial discipline as it was their main export for centuries as the German homeland is pretty devoid of most natural resources. German mercenaries helped to bring income back into the country by fighting for a variety of factions including both sides of our Revolution. Its also one of the few European cultures where nobility could be achieved via military service - notably in Prussia. All these things along with military academies, doctrine, engineering, and refined machining - all years beyond what most of its peers were engaging with - are what boiled its people down into such a strict and regimented entity long before the NASDAP began organizing beer hall Putsch rallies.

People (like communists and social democrats) were put into concentration camps even in 1933.
You might have heard this poem from a German Priest:
"First they came for the communists, but I didn't speak up, cause I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionist and I didn't speak up cause I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews and I didn't speak up, cause I wasn't a Jew.
Then the came for me and no one was left to speak up for me "
Communist were arrested in 1933 and social democrats and trade unionist around 34 when they made strikes illegal and banned trade unions.

I liked your Answer Mr. Gottlieb. I get asked why I do SS re-enacting and collect German WWII stuff (I collect as much WWII stuff as I can, regardless of it's nation of origin or user nation), and my answer is simple. It's history, history wasn't one sided, everyone played a part. If you ignore or cut out the less pleasant side of it, people forget, and it happens again.
Having know some SS Veterans growing up, yes, many were fanatics or true believers early on, but some, like my friend's Grandfather, while having grown up and been indoctrinated in childhood, joined the SS over the Wehrmacht due to the elite status, the "brotherhood" and the lack of Prussian behaviour from the officers, he also implied that the nature of propaganda at the time landed him more dances at the dance halls in an SS uniform....
Post war, he'd come to realise the evil nature of those teachings and refused to live the way he'd been taught. While he did nothing wrong as a member of the SS, as his group didn't perform any Anti partisan operations or have any interaction with Jewish civilians, he insisted on trying to make up for it by help out the Jewish community where he could, and as a roofer would fix up the synagogue a few blocks away for, most of the time, little more than, if not just the cost of materials, as well as doing the same for members of the Jewish community of the area who were low on income.
They'd also invite him to speak on Holocaust Memorial day since a lot of the youth, including Jewish youth, seem to take the history with a grain of salt, which is a lot harder to do when a man who was a member of the organisation that enforced it, is telling you it happened.

Why should it be illegal in Germany?
Not even Mein Kampf is illegal in Germany and historic artifacts and anything educational is exempt from banns.
(So a swastica is illegal, except it is there for education (like in schools), art (like in movies) or historic artifacts (like original documents from the time))

Joey J mean you’re insulting me by calling me one of the coolest characters in fiction? I’ll take that 😂
