Thanks for not taking ages to explain it, the choice of music was nice too. ...now to continue sorting&wrapping my Coins, and I have probably almost $10 of Pennies and nearly $90 of Nickels, Dimes&Quarters.
It is such a simple task but when you sit down to it and haven't done it before, it can seem boggling like "how on earth do people do this?!" Thank you so much for the video
Holy cow this is literally one of those things where it's too complicated to figure out on your own but easy enough to make you feel stupid asking another person how to do it (or they're just as clueless as you are), so you turn to RUclips to save yourself 🤣. This helped so much, thank you!!
I was bored so I searched things I already know how to do! Little tip, just stack up the coins on your fore fingers and slide the coin roll down around the coins, then stick your fingers in each end to leave enough to fold up evenly on each side! Save some time with this method! I learned this from a bank teller!
I recommend a coin counter. It is a plastic or metal tray with places for each type of coin that you fill and it has little notches on the side of each type that tell you how much money it is. The capacity is usually the amount that fits in a roll
Thanks for this man. I keep taking change up to my local gas station, so I'm just gonna start rolling the coins myself instead of having to count the coins out at the counter.
That second stack of quarters in the beginning of the video with the 1776-1976 is a bicentennial quarter minted for the 200 birthday of the US, they're made of 40% silver and can be quite valuable
LADIES!! (or gents) if you have a mascara tube, stick it almost all the way through the paper tube, fold the ends of the paper over the mascara tube, then pull the tube out and add your coins :)
thanks for the nice video! I'm still learning how to roll coins. this seem kind of hard to me. Is it ok just to fold the bottom end first and then put the coins in and fold the top part afterwards or is the hand method specific?
No, you need to make sure the coins lay down flat in tube, and it’s easy if you slightly poke your finger up and down slightly while pushing down with other finger. Also only feed 4 to 6 coins at a time unless they’ll get hung up sideways making it difficult. Quarters and nickels are easiest, dime tubes are super small, I had to use a pencil to pack coins down from top while filling. I don’t know why he was wearing gloves, it just made things more difficult. If you need gloves get tight ones. Just wash your hands when done.
Wow thanks! I’m trying to save money and was looking for a more simple way of doing besides a piggy bank wich can be really hard to keep track of, so this helped a lot!
I had a quick question. Is there a way to get the coins to stay firmly in or are they going to shake when you move the roll around. Do they have to be firmly in?
I just put it in sandwich bags, ... like 5d of 5c and 10d of 10c, in a bag. To remember how much is in the bag. For pennies write in a piece of paper put it inside.
@OC L: Thanks. This was a helpful video. The only cons were that we didn't get a good view of you putting the quarters in at first, your voice was a bit low and wasn't clear.
Lizabeth Guevara hey great question! so most banks and credit unions require tellers to manually count coins or to run them through a change sorter. they would usually count a few rolls / shake the roll to see that it’s the correct coin/amount. honestly i’d best if you take your time with it. Stacking up the correct amount in piles then putting them in will ensure it’s exact amount!
@@KevinnPOV thanks I'm abt to start rolling all this coins up and I realize I have many penny that are dirty and some green ashy looking. Do they take those as well or do I have to fish them out.?
Lizabeth Guevara they’ll take em! i have seen the same green | dirty coins of my own... but as long as you can distinguish what coin it is, quarter, dime, nickel, penny. you should be okay 🤙🏼
I had another quick question. Is it normal even if you tightly pack the coins in the roll that if you shake it a little the coins will jiggle slightly? I don't know if that's supposed to happen since that happens with my rolling coins.
thanks for the comment and loose change adds up! also i recycle where they pay out in cash & as you go day to day, any loose change you come across just stash it away and check back in a year to see how much you’ve accumulated; you’d be surprised 😯😄

I can’t believe how many people had to look this up like me to see how to use these kind of wrappers
you and others are now coin wrapping experts 😎
In germany we have those with closed ends to fill them easier.
Luckyyy
I’m movin there
OMG ! I’m like WTH why are these not like this in USA
You can get them here in the US too. Idk why he didn’t
Yeah, here in America we don’t like things smart and easy.

That's the way i do it. I can have 3-5 rolled up before some get the wrapper open.
I recommend a coin counter. It is a plastic or metal tray with places for each type of coin that you fill and it has little notches on the side of each type that tell you how much money it is. The capacity is usually the amount that fits in a roll
sounds like a fancy alternative, thanks for letting us know!
@@KevinnPOV this is my first time rolling coins and I'm using my grandfather's coin counter. It's nothing fancy it just makes it easier
Sometimes those counters aren't 100% accurate. You can accidentally put one extra coin in a roll because the counter was never designed properly.
@@DP-hy4vh I usually put in 1 less and get away with it

That oh wtf had me dead lol

Ths was good but its better to fold the ends inward instead of just pushing them down
That second stack of quarters in the beginning of the video with the 1776-1976 is a bicentennial quarter minted for the 200 birthday of the US, they're made of 40% silver and can be quite valuable
No, the bicentennial quarters that are silver are part of a special set. The one shown in the video is face value and clad.
i dropped it into a wishing well , wished for more 🥹🪙
Use a black sharpie marker to rounden the papers making them more round or rounder. It helps 😅.

I had a quick question. Is there a way to get the coins to stay firmly in or are they going to shake when you move the roll around. Do they have to be firmly in?
great question, as long as you fold the paper-ends firmly the coins should stay inside! taping one end might help secure it more!
And like a fool I bought these at the 99 cent store. At least they were already tuned and made of thicker paper though.
I started 4 years ago, I am at the $50 mark! Ufh!!
