tanto investimento, e porque não fizeram com um radar 360 graus? 240 graus é o que o aviao possui. obviamente que é incrivel, deve sim ser excelente mas, porque nao um equipamente militar perfeito?

entendedor deve ser voce. a FAB ja opera o sistema globaleye da Suecia, que também utiliza um sistema de 240 e nao 360. o radar desenvolvido por Israel é incrivelmente potente e disponibiliza um refinamento de imagem tanto no ceu, quanto em terra quanto no mar, mas, mesmo Israel e demais potenciais militares, utilizam o AWACS 360, por ser muito mais seguro para a propria aeronave quanto para as aeronaves que estao realizando alguma missao, entao minha pergunta permanece, por que nao um sistema 360 graus? Este radar é especializado em alvos voando a baixa altitude, diferente dos tradicionais AEW no mercado. É para controle de fronteira e não superioridade aérea.
@@AthosRacse voce estiver certo, o que tenho certeza que não esta, mas se voce estivesse certo, entao esse aviao com esse sistema continuarão com zero vendas, pois de fato, nao serve para nada além de custar uma fortuna. se é um aviao de vigilancia e alerta antecipado e controle aereo, terrestre e naval, como seu objetivo é apenas de alvos voando em baixa altitude? nao faz o menor sentido!
