Raising pigs on a pasture is much nicer than raising them on a concrete slab however you guys have lovely wooded areas I probably would’ve incorporated this into my pig habitat I can understand you were going for a more practical layout on your farm. making the workload more practical and easier to manage but little forestry areas in a pig habitat what does been something they would have loved. The majority of wild pigs live in wooded areas for a reason it is their natural environment and where they’re happiest.

Wow I don't know if you guys got new mics but it was loud 🔊 Hopefully y'all are getting rain this week, we are supposed to get some tomorrow 50/50 chance.
Kevin my son went up to work on their trailers for the hunting season and he was shocked at the drought. I think since he went y'all have had some rain. He bow hunts and gun hunts in Mo. so he's wants to move his family up there. However his wife isn't one bit interested in homesteading. He grew up on one but she grew up totally different and cares nothing about what goes in her food, but we love her to bits and pray for her 🙏
You are a blessing to so many people who are starting out. I've done it all myself and am to old and worn out now, but my heart is still right there. I hope the new earth will have big beautiful gardens like Eden had in the beginning, I can hardly wait.

I wonder if it would help to run cable with a turnbuckle from the gate t-post side to the previous t-post in a “x” pattern to give it a bit more stability. It be low cost to improve the stability of the post.

TPosts. First thanks for sharing. As Cattle panel for horned sheep. I started out one on each end with 6 inches of overlap. That DID NOT work well. Sort of like yours but different I still have one one each end and one in the middle. At the next panel they still overlap one 1 inch block and get a tPost. I think this saves tposts and makes a stronger joint. Info not criticism.! PS that Tpost gate hanger is interesting but I would be scared of anything but a 4 foot man gate. I think 8-10-12 etc would bend the post/ not have adequate support. Looking forward to your experience.

A small suggestion or two on the gate. I believe adding a twisty tension wire from the top of the hinge post to the base of the next post over will give a lot of stability and putting a cork screw dog tie down thingy a foot away will let you tension it for when you need to open the gate also. I like the gate brackets even though t posts are a little flimsy. Quick is great a lot of times. 😎

I’ve been following you guys for a long time and just took the plunge and put irrigation in our garden this year. It’s been a complete life saver! The plants were happier and so we were without our nightly 1 hour watering. Question for you- now that I’ve had some things die back I don’t need to water them. I can shut the valves off but wondering if I need to take up the drip lines and store them in the barn? They’re kind of stiff. Should they be put up each year or left out?

My Dad made a clip bending tool out of a short piece of 1/4" rebar post with a hole drilled long ways in one end about 1/4". It works better than anything else we've tried. You can drill a hole in the other end to add a carabiner or clip to attach to a belt loop.

Good morning 🙏😊. It is exciting to see you guys getting ready for your pig’s move.
Soon you will have all the animals moved and then you will be moving!
