I once had to make my hole on my subwoofer box bigger. It always is a bummer when you get everything completed then you sit the subs in the dam box and the dam subs don't fit. Then next thing its hours to fix it. You gotta cut it sand it and sweep the saw dust out. But yeah you fixed it and it sounds LOUD🔊🔊

Rather than wood screws or drywall screws to mount subs into the box, I like to use T-nuts (hurricane nuts) with machine screws, especially with big, heavy woofers. Yeah, I've got a Kenwood too and I like it. (Excellon KDC-X304) It replaced an AI Net Alpine CDA-9884 from 2008
It's got DSP including time delay, crossovers, EQ, BT and more.
Some people sleeping on Skar Audio but my opinion I think they do a good damn job. 💪💪💯🙌🙌
Yeah they do its alot of other brands out there but just on the budget level they are one of the beat
I jus installed 2 vxf 4ohm 15s wired to 1ohm on a taramps smart 5k with the taramps eq a xs xp1500 the ixous smart ultracapacitor all 0gauge ofc wire and mids and highs are ds18 pro and i have them on the white marine skar 1000w amp..Let me tell u they slap..my box 6.5cubes tuned to i think around 31/32 hz.only thing i dnt like is i drive a 06 buick lucerne cxl and my box takes up all my trunk space..it takes 2 ppl get em out and its real tight lol .Ready order a js 250 alt

Dude I love my VXF 15" D2 it's a mean mofo. I got mine in a 3.98 Cubes @30hz and I'm waiting on my SFB3000.1Ds I bought two of em and also found a sfb1000.1D on the sundown yard sale for $119 so I snatched it real quick like 😂. Anyway bro that sub is only on a Skar RP800.1DM for the moment it's in the trunk facing up and port is facing up so it loads off the trunk which causes subs to hit much harder I found out with my Sav3 8"s and Xv3 8"s. Anyway just on the lil 800rms amp that Vxf 15" hits harder than my old DDX 15" which done a 144.9 on music and it was on a RP3500.1D and the Vxf moves alot of air I can float paper and bags and blow shirts ect in the windows. I'm extremely impressed with it. It's now my favorite sub hands down. I also have a sundown Xv2 15" and Xv1 15" both sitting in their own boxes and they don't get as loud but they do play lower but not alot the Xv1 15" isn't as good as the Vxf but the Xv2 is very similar in terms of performance music wise but SPL wise the Vxf is definitely louder. Its a heavy fisted subwoofer. And I had the zvx 15"D2 and I gave it to my lil brother for his Jeep... That should tell ya something lol.. the Vxf is Skars best woofer hands down.

Bro I had that same issue with my American bass compition hawks I have a Qbomb 2 v box tuned to 37 htz and I had to have my buddy jigsaw the edges because of the Berliner they sprayed on it but after that it’s all good.
See the vxfs are bigger than the evl so I had to cut it out to get them to fit I. The box

So your back seats don't go down? I just bought a benz few months ago, and my back seats don't go down. And mercedes got factory sound deadener everywhere. And seems like all the bass is trapped in my trunk. You got any suggestions to be able to get louder? I got a factory 10" sub on the rear shelf, I was gonna take that out and hope the hole will let the sound in a lil better. For a visual, I got videos on my channel if interested. They are Northstar agm batteries. No big 3 yet and idk how many amps the stock alternator is. I'm guess like 135amps or something in that range

And as far as a box for where the spare tire goes bro. Your looking at 50inches long going across the trunk and 19.5 inches deep from the back of the back seat to the end where the trunk drops off

The smart 3k means it u will get 3k watts at 1 ohm and 2 ohm...most amps drops off after 1ohm the smart 3 doesn't so with box rise, ect. u keep that constant 3k watts pushing

Just from my experience with both of them I think the vxf gets way lower cleaner than the ddx. But that could all be in the tuning and design of the box as well.

I doubt one 12 will bump harder than 2 15’s of the same model. It’s just a matter of needing more subs if you want to bump obnoxiously hard. You also need big 3 upgraded alt maybe extra battery or capacitor
