I just did basically the same thing. I upgraded my RP 2000.1D to a Recoil Dii3300.1D and boy did it wake up my single 12" VXF. I'm flexing my 15 Ford Cmax a lot like you're doing to that Sonata. I'm very pleased with the upgrade myself.

@@BassAddict91 Anyone who wants to doubt the VXF, I'm using a single 12" VXF wired to 1 ohm. It's attached to a 48AH Red Headway Lithium Pack with a 2 ft run of dual 4ga Sky high wire. Certain songs literally make my back doors flap (around 22-26hz). The sub is not rated but at 1500 watts RMS. Amp is rated 3300 watts RMS. I just make sure I don't clip or I barely clip as my amp also has the clip light on the remote. I paid $215 for the amp and would be glad to let you know where I got it from.

@@MrBooMY3 i was trying to see which remote gave you a clip light because that’s how i lost my last sub (ddx) i just bought a vxf, but it fell out of the skar prefab box and ripped out the power terminals in the vxf . they’re sending a new one and i just wanna be safe with this one .
I had a rp.2000 and I switched to the taramps bass 3k and omg it was insane that amp is so much better then the skar which I was really surprised it was way cleaner

I got the same set up in my car except the extra battery I used to use the skar 2k but that damn thing would over heat and shut down but with the 3k taramps it doesn't over heat or clip but its even louder in my car with the windows open or the doors open. those DDXs have a bigger magnet then the skar EVLs plus the DDXs are made for SPL.
And the motor force is a lot stronger on the DDXs...look at the BL on the specs compared to the EVL..the DDX works harder so it makes the 2.5" coil more efficient
I got a question I just got the smart 3k and it's always clipping when I don't feel like it should...I have a Duramax battery that has 35 amp hrs on it plus the stock AGM that's 70 amp hrs under the hood...what should I do? Mess with the amp settings or do I add another battery or what

I just got one 2ohm ddx on my RP 1500. Love it!
Now I can just add another 2 ohm DDX with the smart 3, and even though it will be 2 ohms I’ll be set! Most other amps I’d be screwed out of power not getting down to 1 ohm.

I’ve had some evl 15s and they do hit but I think personally the ddx has a stronger motor
I can tell you buy a line driver or the sk eq from skar, I had same amp, the input signal will be more pure at 7volts and less distortion =less clipping

It's pretty risky not using an ANL fuse between your rear battery and the Amp. Unless u do, and I didn't see it. I myself, running a battery isolator (so i never get stranded unable 2 start the ride), Yellowtop DH6 battery, 250 amp fuse to a bus bar. Which powers my Orion XTR750.4 and my CT 1000.1D. Yeah, I technically should use a 200amp, but having something close is better than nothing. Not to mention, i also run a 1200-watt power inverter off it sometimes.

Those look like some pretty stout subs bro. Me personally I would try another box before I get more subs. Believe it or not the box makes a big difference in the sound output of a sub. Along with other factors. But the box help play a huge role

you GOT to get that volts up with a mechman alternator ....Im tellin you straight you gonna burn the amp or the voic coils or both hitting low low with 11- 12 volts .... even if you have a extra battery it wont stay up pass 13 for very long
KNOW this from my experience - get UNregulated alternator and use a external regulator that will keep your volts up to 14 at all times ...regulated alternator will run low on hot days thats how its made ....
And don't be kiddin that teramp runnin 12 v VS 14 v is a HUGE difference in playin loud and clear ... I run that same teramp 3k and theres a huge difference between 14 v and 12 v sound

the smart 3 will do 3k at 1 and 2ohms. the only problem i have with taramps is they push their components to the extreme, most people only get s few years before failure. you're gonna need a much bigger electrical upgrade to run that amp though

Hey for your back battery, where you got the ground going to. You know with these unibody cars it’s hard to found a ground at the back. I also have the DDX’s. But I got them on a CAB22.

I just got the this smart 3k for my DDX 15s and it clips a lot when the subs can clearly handle the power...all I have is my stock AGM 70 amp hrs under the hood and I put a Duramax 35 amp hrs in the back to help with the electrical...the gain is set at halfway and I know them subs can easily take it but it keeps clipping so do I fuck with the amp settings or add another battery or what

Both are beast bro but taramps is a Brazilian amp and Jp amps are Korean so the taramps would be cheaper. But if you have the money I would go for the Jp just for reliability bro.
