In this video I take apart my Taramps Smart 3K amp and clean it out, I also show you what size Power inputs it has and compare a couple different reducers, I also go over the hole amp and let you know if its worth the money or not. I also give a demo and show you what it can do.

What is best for a simple Subwoofer 80hz or 100hz?

How does it do with the deeper bass notes around 20-35 hz? Do they get dropped off because of the subsonic filter?
Best to leave the hpf all the way off and run an external crossover dsp but yes it destroys the lows
Hey buddy I just bought this amp and I have a full brand now set up in my car with already put in place ofc 0 gauge from my second battery to a fuse then to a 0 to 4 gauge distribution block and I have 4 lines out that are all 4 gauge wired in to all the amps and I have seen that a lot of people are running 1/0 or 0 gauge to this amp! And I would really like to stick to my current new set up without a ton..... of work to now chang it up wiring it for 0 gauge to go to just this one amp!
So my question to you is will it perform just fine with just 4gauge
And can I get by with 4gauge without ANY problems with fires/blowing something up/ or power loss?
Also only going to be running is at about 1500W as my RMS on my two subs it only 750W a piece.
This is the first time I have ever had this much watts to my 2 12's ever.

It depends on how long the run of 4 gauge is, under 10 feet you should be ok. If your running it 20 feet I would either run 1/0 awg or 2 runs of your wire. when I first put mine in I was using like 8 gauge and it worked ok, but when I rewired it with double 00 gauge inputs and grounds, MAJOR increase in volume output.

If I get one, I'll be swapping those noisy fans with some quiet ones that have the same cfm or more. It would suck to be hearing those things whine when cruising around trying to listen at lower volumes. 😆
they don’t turn on unless you’re really pounding on it in which case you wouldn’t hear them anyways
how is sound quality for you ive heard both ways ,,i got a smart 3 also havent hooked it up yet

Is it common for taramps to shut off when the bass hits. I noticed that wen I turn it up and the lites on the front max out that the amp will shut off but it cums right back on.... and I barely have the gain up at all... seem like the higher the gain is up. The less I can turn my radio up b4 the amp shuts off. It's got great power but I can't use it all...lol...if it would stay on I would b happy with it. Ohm load is 1ohm

And I had great electrical h/o alt and extra batteries

You must have an old one. I have the same amp and it IS 0 Guage. 🙂
