I was Admin for 4 years before getting medically discharged and I really loved my job so much, not because it was a simple
office job but working directly
with the commander to get travel/pay vouchers out and correcting that info on short notice along with getting guidance from the officers was really helpful for my career in the air force and now as a civilian again. Oh also filing records and learning about that whole process really sharpened my organizational skills as well...people think we just sit at a desk all day and do nothing but it’s as hectic as most other jobs in the military.
What happened? Why were you medically discharged?!
@@NicoleBermz a lot of soldiers, try and take advantage, and get out after their first enlistment, and then claim disability. Unless this person was seriously injured, which I doubt.(most likely they worked in Administration) they found some loophole to finesse the system.
*In summary*
-This is a SIMPLE & EASY desk job working for the Commander, and with other "Higher ups".
-Just do what is required of you for your 8 hours, and go to school, work on a side business, or do whatever your heart desires with all your extra free time while you receive the SAME EXACT pay as everyone else.

I joined because I WAS FLAT BROKE AND ALMOST HOMELESS.
plenty of people join for job training and to gain life skills. nothing wrong with that at all. one of the many benefits.

@@najadiorr2501 I finished my 4 years of active duty service. I transitioned over to the Air National Guard as a traditional reservist. I’m currently using my post 9-11 GI bill to get a college degree.
Currently Active Duty aircraft maintenance! I'm at the end of my contract and will be switching over to the AF Reserve AND I'm crosstraining into Admin! Lol As much as we tease yall by calling yall nonners, its all out of love and a little bit of jealousy because we always get shafted working 12 hour shifts in the elements while yall work 8s in an office lmao So im definitely excited to finally be getting off of the flightline and be a nonner with yall Lol
Same did 11 years in maintenance, boy oh boy best time I had but those exercises sucked. Hahaha im like you now.
I discovered this job when I was active duty. I was a vehicle mechanic working in CSS. I love it!

Im a 4A (Medical Admin) and work in the CSS, we currently dont have a 3F so I'm helping to fill that role, its pretty cool learning the functions.

Awesome video and incredible interview. This was perfect since my brother did Administration in the Marines, so having a new reference point for me is excellent.

depends on if try to make it career getting the CCAF as getting a business degree would help a lot.

@GAAAtttOoooRraade our career field can also work with postal (post office). I was CSS at my last base but I’m now working with postal at my new base

@Ellis it depends i have a friend who went on deployment for 3 months but heard they can last up to 6 month or a year
@GAAAtttOoooRraade hours depend on where you work but are business hours my hours were 7-4. the job is easy if you get the right training and have good teachers, the job can be stressful if too much happens at once the hardest part of the job for me is just remembering everything but the more you do it the better you'd be.
@Ellis I personally have never been deployed I can tell you my reason why I chose admin I chose admin because I wanted to go to school and admit is one of those career field that isn’t all that stressful that I can go to school and still be good at my job without all the unnecessary stress
