Hey Andrea, Thank you so much for checking out my video and for the kind words. It definitely made me smile. I am so glad you found my video helpful. 😃
I was torn between white toner and DTF , but made the decision to go with the DTF setup and couldn’t be happier with my decision. Although minor maintenance is required, I comparison of printer /supply costs as well as functionality, print time ,quality , and ease of applying the print to the item , it’s in my opinion, that DTF is the superior choice . If you are familiar with the time consuming and tedious process of screen printing, or weeding threw HTV, these DTF prints are a heaven sent. The print quality is also second to none and durable as you can get.
If you don’t mind me asking. What Dtf printer did you start with? I am currently using a cricut and having to layer my vinyl. I am a very small business with a low budget, but I have outgrown one and two color designs. I am looking to get into full color prints. I am torn between a Dtf printer or a vinyl printer.
Agreed! Dtf is the way to go. Cuts the dtg process in half apmost and the maintenance is a lot light than dtg. Best decision i made as far as equipment and printing in house is concerned.
Im thinking of switching to dtf from white toner but to tell you honestly. I'd rather have white toner than dtf. dtf is too slow. its like 17-20 mins per shirt. just know the right temp of your heat press to your white toner and youll be good. dtf print quality might be better than white toner but all and all i think white toner is better. (2 years white toner user BTW.)
I just found your channel and you are a smart cookie.. I knew most of this already but you broke it down so well and you should have more subscribers. I have tried both DTF and White toner for colors and I prefer DTF. The toner prices and AB sheets are just too pricey. The best prints are sublimation but the substrates are limited. Then you can go the DTF Sublimation route which is fine for cotton light colors but darks are limited unless you want to add white and clear vinyl overlays to all your garments. Nothing beats the hand feel of regular sublimation. If they ever formulate the sub inks to print white underlays then DTF White toner and any other process will be in trouble. Great video

Hi , you can use sublimation printer or normal inkjet printer to use as DTF , use pet film and hot melt white powder , you can do this on cotton t shirts or any other fabric , the only difference is there is no white ink in the above mentioned printers , white fabric works best , at least you can now print on other fabrics instead of only polyester fabrics, cheers hope this helps , ps my DTF printer wont print anymore after only a few garments , nobody will touch it as it's a converted printer , to ship it off from where I purchased my printer it will cost $ 900 , plus the manager at the shop said our warranty is voided so parts and labor on top of shipping means we have been fleeced , it wont print because it thinks the inks are empty , so it's ignoring what the computer is asking it to do , red light is on saying no ink , love your video cheers from Australia .

@@moea3735 I found it extremely helpful and I was on the fence about dtf and wanted to hear unbiased opinions about the good bad and ugly. If you don’t like her content you are free not to watch.
Okay. Love your videos first off!!! So I currently am using vinyl with my cricut. I want to get into full prints. I do not want to do sublimation bc I use cotton shirts. I only sell 10-20 shirts a week if that at the moment. My budget is not huge for equipment, however I know for sure I do not want to outsource. Can you suggest if I should dtf, eco solvent, or if you have something else in mind?
Ive seen owners of the Epson P800 state that when the power goes out or if they turn off their printer that all their inks are purged the next time they turn it on or power is restored. Meaning they lose about $1-$2 worth of ink every time this happens. Has that been your experience as well? Do you keep your printer plugged into a Lithium Ion battery pack like the Bluetti, Jackery, Goal Zero or other "solar generators" that offer 1,500 to 5,000+ watt hours of power? What are your thoughts on toner reactive self weeding heat transfer vinyl? Not only can you print in full color to it but it also allows the toner to define its shape when you apply it with a heat press. Conde sells it.
awesomesauce! thank you for this video, it has absolutely added value. i outsource my prints and was looking to buy my very own dtf printer, but after hearing it requires daily prints and services… its not something i can get into at the moment. thank you!! good luck with your business

You have been very informative. I have been trying to grow and I love how the colors out with a DTF. As of right now I don't have a lot of multi colors orders.
Good video. The calculation is an average and you did good breaking down. DTF is cheaper than supacolor and will continue like that, is even cheaper when a professional dual head printer is used to print the transfers. People need to realize that DTF is not supacolor. Supacolor uses a combination of digital print + plastisol white under base, and DTF is all inks including the white under base. This is why DTF is more durable and stretchy when it cures with the powder.

However, there are several options which depend on whether you want to convert a printer yourself or have someone else do it. 1. There are some companies that offer financing. Kingdom DTF is one that immediately comes to mind. If you decide to go the convert yourself route as suggested by Rashaun Stewart: 2.)There are several people here on RUclips can help you with that process and have videos in the topic. screen printing is the original way, but it is more expensive and requires skill. Color separations, the more colors the more screens.@@florencewhits7251
To be honest i dont like DTF its crap to me and dont last long, It has a paper feel. The process is whack, too much time it takes to do one print. If your a busy store you dont have time to edit the image to the format for printing, then you have to print the film, pour powder on it shake it off, dry it with a over or under your heat press, then press the shirt 2 times. Its a headache. I do sublimation, ink jet and laser jet transfer, Sublimation last longer in fabrics

Awesome, I'm glad I was able to give back, because you definitely provided a lot of information for me.

What model is the 24inches DTF printer?
Hey there,
It's a 24 inch Epson Stylus Pro 7880.
Claudia
Hello what temperature and time to use this convention oven??? Thanks 😊
Hey EJ,
I set my oven between 200-250 for about 1.5-3.0 mins depending on the type of adhesive powder I'm applying to the transfer.
Hope that helps. If not, please feel free to message me.
Sincerely,
Claudia
Why did you end up switching from the p800 to the bigger one? And did they come back and set that up?
Hey,
Thanks for taking time to watch my video.
The short answer is the company was running a sale and I wanted to have the capability to print larger images or run 2 larger images side by side. 😊
Yes, the technician did come back out to deliver and set up the printer.
Claudia
I can’t help but notice that pull down back drop behind you, hopefully that is what it is. That’s what it looks like to me and I would love to know where to purchase that?! I am building a she shed office and will definitely need this in there!!

Thank you for checking out my channel. Yes, it is a backdrop behind me. A she shed that sounds AMAZING. Here's my amazon link to the one I purchased: amzn.to/3tJQEf9. Hope that helps.

Can i get any help or guide line what should i buy and which steps i should take to start please? i know for some readers it can be funny but all your comments are suggestions will be my guidelines and courage to take a step. Which printer did you get and how much was the upgraded dtf printer. ?
Hey Anna,
You may have to check out my recent LIVES, where I’ve shared a lot of that info.
i was about to buy the icolor560 white toner.... because it can sit doing nothing.... but my shop need to print 500-600 hoodie per years... but if i buy a DTF it WILL sit idle for week.... and then i will print 150 item then week idle.. is DTF still a good alternative.. because the white tone is super expensive each time you print one page
Hello,
Turn on your post notifications, I will be going LIVE again really soon and answering this question. It’s a question I get frequently. 💕💕💕
I have a laptop that is mac but my main comp is PC. Can I just create on the PC and some how send to the mac as a png?
Hello Michele,
Thank you for taking time out to watch my videos.
Unfortunately, I am a PC user so I am unable to answer that question that. I’m not even sure if the software is mac compatible.
You may have to reach out to one of the companies that provides DTF printers, or the software providers for DTF.
My apologies I wasn’t able to help more.

what are the demotions of ur def printer i am interested in on but want to know what it prints like 13x19 or bigger smaller? also what is the biggest you printed

It was my pleasure. I’m so glad I was able to provide you with some value😃
Where you bought the dtf printer from.. do they offer any type of financing? I am committed to get a good system just can't pay all out at once
convert yourself is waay cheaper besides buying rip software!!! xp 15000 is 350$
Hey Julio,
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video. There are several options available to you. The company I used does not offer financing. However, there are several options which depend on whether you want to convert a printer yourself or have someone else do it.
1. There are some companies that offer financing. Kingdom DTF is one that immediately comes to mind.
If you decide to go the convert yourself route as suggested by Rashaun Stewart:
2.)There are several people here on RUclips can help you with that process and have videos in the topic. Check out the following channels for more on this👉🏾Ya Digg!? Designs 👉🏾Big Boi Prints.
Hope that helps you Julio😃
Any other questions please feel free to reach out.

Hey Rashaun,
Do you have any videos that Julio can check out on converting a printer?

Thanks for taking the time to watch my video.
I shared all of the details of where I purchased the machine in the very first video I posted on DTF.

also I am very new at this but I am looking to really get this printer. Do you think that is a good idea? Most of the t's I do is full colour. I do lots of sub as well.
Hey Michele,
The best piece of advice I can give you if you are interested in DTF is to make sure you have the business to keep your printer running.
Nice video sis you answered all my questions, thank you so much.

@@PinksTeesandThings I will sis, you are the best 👌🥰😍
You are so welcome.
I have that same toaster over. I LOVE IT!!
oan, currently dealing with dtg printer issues. I want to make the move over to DTF. DO NOT BUY A RICOH Ri1000 if you are just getting off the ground. I can't speak for that other machines but Mine is less than a year old and is already down. and repairs are $1100 smh.
RICOH are the worst to for DTG. Epson F2100 is the best so far DTG
@@marsgraphix5340 ricoh is trash for dtg. They should stick to the embroidery.

What Epson printer do you have is it this one SureColor P7570 24" Wide-Format Inkjet Printer
Hey Edwin,
Thank you for taking time to watch my video.
No, it was a Epson Surecolor P800 (17inch).

has this printer been converted from its factory version to be used for dtf? are you using the epson inks that come with the computer or a different type of ink?
Hey there,
I will be answering your question in one of my next videos. Stay tuned.💕💕💕

Hey Mark,
Thank you for the kind words. I switched to a large format Epson that can print up to 24inches.

Great video! I’m curious about when you mentioned the screen print transfers, where can I get them? Or what kind of printer prints those?
Hey Veronica,
I'm unsure of what kind of printer, prints those. However, I'm sure a quick google search would help you discover some possibilities.
Hope that helps.

What dtf printer do you have?
Might I ask where did you purchase your printer from? I've been looking for it and I can't find it anywhere. I'm looking through so many website that offer bundles with printers. Is there anything I should avoid or look out for?
Hey Deborah, I shared all of that info in the first video of the series. Im going to attach it below. Also not I discuss why I chose the company I decided to purchase from.

@@PinksTeesandThings Would I be safe if I print 10 a day?
@@moea3735 how would she know that exactly ? Hey Jasmin,
Thank you for taking time out to watch my videos, and for always being so kind. I truly appreciate it.

❤️
Thank you so much sis💕
dont put the press machine and oven too close with printer, it can cause heat to printhead,
@pink’steesandthings What about your safety when heating up the powder? It is not supposed to be inhaled due to being dangerous when heated. I know companies make a heater with tubing to direct the exhaust into an air purifier. I am only mentioning this, because I am worried about yours and your viewers safety!
What DTF printer have you work with?
What printer do you have for dtf
Make sure you have the customers before getting DTF to justify the DTF cost.
What other alternative printing is available apart from DTF?
screen printing is the original way, but it is more expensive and requires skill. Color separations, the more colors the more screens.@@florencewhits7251
Same with dtg, you have to run it everyday or you will be wasting money. Thanks again
Thank you for sharing also. 💕💕💕

Hello 💕💕💕
To be honest i dont like DTF its crap to me and dont last long, It has a paper feel. The process is whack, too much time it takes to do one print. If your a busy store you dont have time to edit the image to the format for printing, then you have to print the film, pour powder on it shake it off, dry it with a over or under your heat press, then press the shirt 2 times. Its a headache. I do sublimation, ink jet and laser jet transfer, Sublimation last longer in fabrics
