How are you? Thank you for this video. What tips would you give to get the letters on the love shirt to adhere to the black shirt? I was told it can’t be done but your video proves otherwise. Does the design have a white under base? Thanks in advance.
Great video I like your style and explanation of details a new guy would like to know , I picked up a 1430 several years ago for sub printing and never used it I will convert it now to DTF Thanks for your help !
Hello! I did print behind both colors but because I did not max out the white it wasn't that dark on those colors. For some reason the Reds seem to bleed through the white unless you have it on 100%
@@TshirtChick thank you! Does cadlink print the white automatic or did you have to set up a spot channel through photoshop? Sorry new to the game trying to learn
Thank you for sharing your process. When you say that your printer was converted what does that mean? Did you have to do something to it other than changing out the two colors for white ink?
I don't really mess with it too much but right now I got the white bumped up to 100%. I don't usually go lower than 80% I think I have 20 or 22% white over black. I have never changed the color settings from what it came at. Hope this helps. If not let me know and I can try to get a video up for you. Thank you for watching!
The one I'm using is for Direct To Film I think mine is version 10 but they update it like most programs so if they have a newer version I would go with that one.
The way I do it feels like it was printed with plastisol. My customers can't tell the difference when I let them feel samples. The way it feels depends on the whole process like how you cure it, how long you press and your ink settings.
They don't really have a DTF kit you have to purchase everything separately unless you buy an already converted printer. You can check out my homie Big Boi Prints Etsy page it has everything you need to get started. Here is his link: www.etsy.com/shop/bigboiprints
I use CAD Link. It does not require a dongle. I have never reused the film after it has been printed but I have used film that I cut off of a small design that was only printed on half of the film.
If I'm printing big orders I'd do screen printing unless it's something I can't screen print. You can screen print full color photographs but I haven't purchased the software for that or tried to learn that so I would have to DTF a full color image. It's a lot quicker to screen print 100 shirts than to DTF them.
I enjoyed the video. I've been doing my business since 2016. I am thinking about going to DTF but it's hard to find a printer at a reasonable price to convert. Also I was wondering, do I need a RIP software to run or operate the DTF designs?
Hi Vincent! Yes, you will need a RIP software. DTF is in high demand right now you have to be on the look out daily. I'm sure they are working on making more printers compatible since most of the printers that will work with DTF have been discontinued. Thank you for watching!
Love the way you explain and show us to learn!! Thank you so much! Would you show the screen printing vs DTF printing , vs Sublimation and how to design a decal in each. I'm a beginner and bought a refurbished printer a year ago to do sublimation, but since I've never started or used it, then I am interested in learning which one would be best for me! Looking forward to hearing from you! God Bless!❤ Also please give a in depth lesson on programs you must use for each different kind of decals. PS: You look amazing with Short hair! 👍
Hi Ken! I don't do much regular sublimation since my customers know I can print full color on any color shirt I mostly use sublimation for All over/3D shirts.
Thanks! Not unless it's factory refurbished from the company that made it. I had issues with the ones I had and now I'm stuck with 2 very expensive paperweights because I made a bad choice to get them from someone trying to start a company and they had no support when I had issues and were very dishonest. It's best to buy from reputable companies, especially when buying something like DTF printers.
TshirtChick Hey Miss Chick...you're looking gorgeous with your hair nice and long 😍 Can I ask you... do you think screen printing I'd finished because of DTF DTG etc ? I'm still not set up...all my equipment... the press... the tunnel dryer... screens etc have been in storage since I got them ☹ And all I see now is DTG DTF... and I'm thinking maybe I've left it too long ? What are your thoughts please. 💕
Thank You! I just got done screen printing an order and as of now I have no plans of quitting screen printing. I feel that screen printing is for bigger orders and DTF is for smaller orders, or at least with my set up. I think if you have the full set up with auto shaker and ink cure machine and at least a 24 inch printer it would print faster but if you have a small set up like I do it would take a long time for big orders. I think they both work together and I will use both for different reasons. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching!
I don't know that's why I just contacted Big Boi Prints to buy one that was already converted. You can go to one of the websites that sells DTF Supplies and I think they have lists of them. Sorry I couldn't be more help
@@TshirtChick yeah i watch u and ur doing great. I was gonna convert one of my printers but im like ill wait. I have my roland bn20a coming nect month next step dtf
I been in the T-shirt Business since 2008. I started with HTV and when I started to get big orders That took a long time just cutting and weeding and I had to have help just to get orders done on time. DTF is nothing like that. If I had a bigger printer that could print faster I would consider giving up screen printing. That should tell you how much work it is. I tell you it's way better than weeding HTV or working for someone else.
Great video and explanation. HTV can suck the life out of you. I order DTF transfers from someone but seriously want to purchase my own machine. Is it worth The money I’d be saving doing it myself verses paying someone to make them for me?
Thank you for sharing! We are excited to try this process!

Awesome video thanks so much for sharing and how much detail on everything. Much appreciated 🤘🏻
No problem. Glad it was helpful!

Not sure what you are asking but with DTF you can print on most materials and it allows you to print white ink.
Did you remove rollers on this printer if so which ones your videos are always detailed and great?

Thank you for sharing your process. When you say that your printer was converted what does that mean? Did you have to do something to it other than changing out the two colors for white ink?
The printer is a regular printer and not made for DTF. I purchased it already converted to DTF.
We have two 1430s and after seeing this I’m definitely converting one. Where did you get the reusable cartridges?
They came with the printer that I purchased from Big Boi Prints but you can find them at many of the places that sell ink for that printer.
What settings do you use for cadlink for this printer?
I don't really mess with it too much but right now I got the white bumped up to 100%. I don't usually go lower than 80% I think I have 20 or 22% white over black. Where can I get that fancy orange ruler?
Hi Olga! Here is the link: shrsl.com/39ry1
What exact ink do I need to buy to do Direct to transfer ??? And what white vinyl heat roll to print on ???
Hi Jasmine! DTF does not use HTV. For DTF you will need DTF film and DTF ink. I use ink from Big Boi Prints. You can find him on Etsy
Do you mind doing a video on how you converted your Eason to a DTF printer
I purchased my printer already converted from Big Boi Prints. I posted the video back when I first got it.
I ran across your video thank you for sharing. I have a sawgrass sub can I use it for dtf?
Hi Angela! The only brand of printers that I know of that can be converted to DTF is Epson. I don't think the sawgrass would work
5 years later we still here girl!!
Hi Alexander!! I appreciate the support!
hi there where did you get your dtf printer?
Hi Francisco!! I got it from Big Boi Prints. His website is BigBoiPrints.org
or you can just contact him on iG @BigBoiPrints
thanks alot , i loved the video.

320 2mins

Hello Sin
Curious questions
What software do you use to operate the printer?
Does it require a dongle?
Can the DTF film be reused?
I use CAD Link. It does not require a dongle. I have never reused the film after it has been printed but I have used film that I cut off of a small design that was only printed on half of the film.

what is that powder you put on it
DTF Adhesive powder
I can save some money since I have this exact same printer already!
That's good you have one you would just have to clean it up good to get the ink out or it may be easier to just replace the heads.

What printer do you suggest for a beginners? Epson are expensive..
The only ones I know that can be converted are Epsons. The ones that come already as a DTF printer cost WAAAAYYYY more than the Epsons.
Do you have agent in Australia. Nearest destination to my country.
Hi Marx! I’m sorry I don’t. I’m not sure if Big Boi ships out of the country but you can contact him on Instagram and ask
love you art... what software are you using to create your images?
