This show has exposed so many toxic mothers, it’s unbelievable how nasty they are to their children.
People tried to tell others for years…women are not inherently good because they’re people and like any other person, they can be kind or cruel. Being a mother doesn’t change that. A LOT of people suffered greatly under the purview of a mother.

She says she can’t control the past but is unaware she’s in the past right now, every time she neglects her daughters feelings IE “I don’t owe you anything” is the very same continuation of negligence from her past. In order for her to break free from that is to take accountability for herself.

Eff all of that! Excuses, excuses, excuses! The “mom” needs to ACKNOWLEDGE and APOLOGIZE to her daughter instead of deny and make excuses and make nasty accusations to her daughter! She is being unnecessarily nasty to that young lady! She needs to take accountability and be a real woman. She sounds ignorant as hell and childish. She has a long way to go and since she wants to be that way, I would NEVER want her in my life until she could acknowledge her MESS! I say all of this from experience with my father! He said the very same thing to me when I tried to talk with him about why he wasn’t in my life and why when I finally came to live with him, he was calling me out my name and he kicked me out his house when I was making straight As in school but he just didn’t “feel like dealing with me.” He told me and my brothers as adults “I don’t owe you guys nothin!” He said it twice and I make him stand on it to this very day!!

I've went through same thing, took me almost 20 years to find my Father and his side of family. My Mother was at fault. I was 29 years old when I reunited with my Biological Father. But Thank God that my Sister's Father took care of me and was around that time as a Father.

I think the mom did tell him she was pregnant but they were both on drugs at the time. That’s something a man should remember if he was told or not if he was sober. At least he admitted his life was messed up and he wouldn’t have been able to care for her instead of blaming anyone else. The mom should own up too.

Rose didn't defend herself well Rose worked hard when we switched schools she knew Amber was in there. Amber didn't know who I was. We took a year getting her back because the Foster mom didn't want Rose to have her. Rose didn't mention her father because he's not a good person Rose told me when I first met her se had other kids, and she wanted them. And she wasn't happy with Amber's father because of the person he was. Amber is just upset with Rose because Rose and my dad are bussing there behinds raising Amber's older sisters kids that ROSE FOUGHT FOR AS WELL. We were in high-school she wasn't 8 at the time, she was 14 when she moved in with us after i gather evidence the fosters werent treating her right. By the end of that year she was with us turning 15 , and she started running away with men in there 20s . Yall are falling for her " Cry" for help when all she does is ask for money from everyone , once again YOU DONT KNOW HER LIKE I DO. You also skimmed over the part she was grounded and tried setting my HOUSE ON FIRE IN MY OLD ROOM. She uses her foster care story to justify her HORRIBLE ACTS. I know alot of people who had it worse and DOESNT USE THE SOB STORY TO MANIPULATE PEOPLE. People like you are the reason why she does this. She wants pity for money and when she's done using you she moves on. That's why my father and Rose moved her out of the SHE WAS TOO MUCH AND A DANGER BRINGING STRANGERS OVER AT NIGHT AND TRYING TO BURN THE HOUSE DOWN AS RETALIATION WHILE MY YOUNGER BROTHERS ARE THE NEXT ROOM OVER.

First, I just wanted to hug this young woman. I felt like a mama bear watching this. I wanted to protect her from her own biological mother. As a mother I’m absolutely disgusted! Seconds into the so called mother talking I knew she was immature. She attacked her own daughter to deflect from her own failures. She acts like they are on the same level as opposed to mother and daughter. Her daughter has been through heck because of her bad decisions. Yet, she is on this show talking about, she doesn’t owe her anything and attacking her. Wow! Ma’am that child didn’t ask to be born. You owe her A LOT, starting with love, compassion, empathy, support, an apology, some guidance, and more. You’re raising other people’s children when you lack empathy for your own child? Your child is hurting and you’re attacking her? You ought to feel ashamed of yourself. How dare you sit on that stage and treat your child that way, and try to justify your behavior? You need counseling, ASAP! You’re a terrible mother to that child. In all honesty I think she’d be better off taking a break from contact with you, and getting counseling for herself. She looked so overwhelmed and her mom is a gen Xer frfr! I am too, but she obviously has a lot of guilt over what happened to lose her kids, and she uses anger to either, justify or cope with it. I heard her say things to her daughter that was said to me by my own mother, and I can identify that pain she is masking by using anger towards her daughter, when she asks questions about why her mother did certain things. Especially, when her daughter brought up how she does all these things for her grandchildren, that she didn’t do her her children to stay out of the foster care system. Instead of her getting angry, she should have humbled herself, and been very vulnerable with her daughter by explaining that she wasn’t in the right place, whether it was emotionally, mentally, physically, financially, spiritually or all the above to be the mother they needed at that time. That she felt like when her grandchildren were going through the same situation , she had a chance to get it right the second time around. However, the mother obviously didn’t have a support system when she had her own kids either because her parents didn’t step up to prevent her children from going into the foster care system either!
So I am glad her daughter is breaking the cycle and not repeating her mother’s mistakes. I am also so glad she has her father and sisters in her life now. Her one sister looked so happy and excited to have an older sister it was so heart warming. I hope she is able to heal and find the support system and village she deserves to have in her life. Also, sweet girl if you read this know that you may have gone through some horrible things that you feel your mom should have protected you from but you have to realize she is only human and if you keep holding her to such a higher standard than you do either for yourself or others she will always fail you! Not because she wants to or doesn’t care but if you expect her to be anything besides herself and to love you a certain type of way other than the way she knows how. She will never meet your expectations! Best thing you all can do is to take the love language tests and find out how you both give love and like to receive love. That way you all can learn how to properly love each other and what you can expect from each other as your ways of giving love. Then, work on nurturing each other’s ways of receiving and giving love to each other. Hope you both heal from your past and forgive each other and yourselves for whatever you are still holding on to that is causing all the pain we seen today. Best wishes to all of you!
