Namaste, Greetings from Shirish and Pooja.
Welcome the New Episode of ‪@RedSoilStories‬
"Prawns fry | Prawns Biryani | Prawns Gravy, Which one is your favorite? Village Life Maharashtra"
The monsoon has arrived in Kokan region of Maharashtra and it is also an end of the fresh sea food season here in Kokan. Hence I went to the Monsoon Market ( Mirgacho bajar) to get some groceries and fish. To our luck I got "Prawns" (कोळंबी) for the lunch.
I returned home with some groceries and "Prawns" (कोळंबी) and handed it over to Pooja.
She started cleaning the "Prawns" (कोळंबी) which a tedious and time consuming job.
She then Marinated those.
Pooja decided to cook an all Prawns lunch for the day. She started it with "Prawns Gravy" which tastes even better when cooked with some fenugreek. It has lot of spices and it was indeed spicy.
After the Gravy she cooked "Prawns Biryani" (कोळंबी बिर्याणी) which is also a tasty and flavorful dish but takes a lot of time to prepare. Do watch the whole process of How an authentic "Biryani" is made.
For a side dish of Prawns, Pooja fried the Marinated Prawns coated with Semolina, Rice flour and Red chili powder. It is a simple yet mouthwatering recipe.
I was starving, we enjoyed the "Prawns Special" lunch together.
