Learn how to play Chess the right way from beginner to master level. National Master Robert Ramirez will take you up the pyramid by following a proven Chess training program he has been improving and implementing for over 10 years.
    Benefits of Playing Chess:
    - Promotes brain growth
    - Increases problem-solving skills
    - It exercises both sides of the brain
    - Raises your IQ
    - Sparks your creativity
    - Teaches planning and foresight
    - Teaches patience and concentration
    - Optimizes memory improvement
    - Improves recovery from stroke or disability
    - Helps treat ADHD
Chess is an intellectual battle where players are exposed to numerous mental processes such as analysis, attention to detail, synthesis, concentration, planning and foresight. Psychological factors are also present on and off the board; playing Chess stimulates our imagination and creativity. Every single move a player makes is the result of a deep analysis based on the elements presented on the battlefield.
Chess in its essence teaches us psychological, sociological and even moral values. In a Chess game, both players start with the same amount of material and time. The fact that the white pieces move first is considered to be practically irrelevant -especially because a player typically plays one game as white and one game as black. Consequently, the final result of the battle solely depends on each player. It doesn’t matter if you win by taking advantage of your opponent’s mistakes or by simply avoiding mistakes yourself. Truth is that Chess is an extremely individual sport and our defeats can only be blamed on ourselves and no one else. And this, in the end, only benefits us because we learn to be and feel responsible for our actions and never come up with excuses to justify ourselves.
We also learn that when it comes to our victories on the board, our opponent's mistakes play a more significant role than our own skills. Let’s not forget that a Chess game without any mistakes would be a draw. This way, Chess provides us with another valuable life lesson: be humble at all times.

I have been a Pirc player for life. I made USCF National Master with it, and won my state's Open Championship. I taught it to my high school chess team and they won two state championships with it. Thank you for leading the charge !!

I have noticed between other chess coaches . not everyone plays these moves in the same order. I like your reasoning thought it helps me conceptualize what I need to remember why something is a better move.

Thank you Robert for the great lessons. I have started chess with your lessons, I am using pirc kid and kia as my main opening. I was stuck on 1000~1100 level for a while. I have recently managed to level up to 1200~1300 ratings. With win rate 54%. I wanted to share some tips of how I leveled up!
    1. Started to read books
    - it is really hard for a starter to actually read books. I open lichess study and move everything down (even the comments and ideas). It helped me with memorizing and understanding ideas better.
    2. I only play 30 minute games, max 1~2 games a day.
    - i quit playing 10 minute games since i noticed i need more time to reason and think on my moves. Plus 10min and 30min games are both considered rapid on chess.com! Why not spend a bit more for a better thought process and win!
    3. I stopped trading everything (especially queens)
    - i used to trade everything cz i was scared. I somehow had a better chance of using more tactics with the queen. Constant practice and watching Roberts lessons repetitively helped alot.
    4. Play against Antonio (1500) computer
    - I think this is one of the best tips I have (at least for this level) play black against him. He will play the classic variation or Austrian attack for you! Although the opening is only 10% of the game, having a solid opening will give you more confidence in the middle game. You will kinda know what type of middle game you will get by practicing the same opening.
    5. Of course watch Roberts video.
    - i guess i dont need any explanations for this.
Thank you Robert for the great lessons. Wish you the best 👍

Thanks Coach Robert! Another amazing video. Is there anyway you can show us some general defensive strategies to employ in the Pirc when the opponent goes berserk and tries to shove their flank pawns down our throat in an all out attack? I seem to get in trouble when they come at me like a mad-man. Same thing happens to me in the KID sometimes.

The weakness of the engine's analysis, I believe, is that it rates a move as inaccurate on the assumption that the opponent will make an engine-level move. Imagine if the engine rated in the context of the opponent's level. Oh well, it holds you to a higher level.
