Actually, I would disagree with the title of the video (though I know it's the name of the song). Stein goes mad because he IS afraid, and his madness is his way of not feeling afraid. Unless some of the other characters in Soul Eater, Stein is one of the few people with the intellect to understand just how terrifying Asura Kishin really is.
atcually he wasnt afraid he's always been crazy, his madness wasnt him being afraid that was just making him go mad , his mentality was always to disect and murder , his madness was coming from trying to lock away such thoughts nd feelings ... urges if u will , it left him confused - hence hearing all the noise in his head ,(the noise wont stop)
