I kind of love the kenpachi ex machina role he takes on later in the show because him bursting from a wall and knocking out someone in one hit just makes me crack up

Interesting point. You see Kenpachi doesn't fear Unohana. He "fears" dying before he can have more fun fights.A fun fight is when he can go berserk and not be sure of the outcome of the battle. He himself described fights against "weak" people about as fun as "swinging my sword at the air". When he finds someone strong to fight he starts to fear the fact that he cant fight when hes dead. Realizing this he starts to berserk even crazier. This fun and fear kind of loops till the opponent is dead
Partly just never finished and I always stop they never give us good battles with Kenny except maybe like twice and they have not started the next seasons yet so the expectations are not being met
Fun fact about kenpachi is that if you notice that in every other fight he has ever had other than with Ichigo Ichigo is the only one that had his face show a little fear and in some cases like with him the people that thrive on adrenaline they believe that when they are afraid it makes them happy because they feel the most alive which is why kenpachi's the Rocky is always wanting to fight Ichigo because he wants to feel alive again
ichigo struggles for a month to beat sixth espada (barely) and all kenpachi has to do is swing sword with two hands to beat stronger one. It's obvious who the hero is.

It's interesting to see how far Ichigo has come, not only in his actual skill and power but just his looks, just like in say Death Note the character over time has aged so instead of being wide eyed, as they were in the earlier episodes they've aged.
bout that comment below that said its just his shikia for some reason i have memory of a moment in the show (around when ichigo first got his bankai and the first ichigo vs kenpachi battle happened -think somewhere in that time frame-) yoroichi said his sword was simaller to kenpachi's ya know how ichigo's sword is stuck in shikia state (until he gets bankai) and doesnt really got a sealed state anymore after the hilt broke off... so i thought kenpachi been using his shikia for awhile and just stopped listening to his zanpacto so didnt get bankai (though i might be wrong... does anyone else remember that moment in the show?)
Nah it's not in Shikai, everyone thought it was in Shikai. His spiritual pressure is literally so massive that everyone just assumed he was always in Shikai. She stated that his spiritual pressure blocks off his contact with his Zanpakuto, making it difficult to get to or learn from his Inner Spirit. Spoilers This is why Yachiru exists- she is his Zanpakuto spirit. Now remember, having your spirit in the real world supposedly takes a massive amount of reishi and leaves the user drained. Kenpachi has such massive power that not only was he unaffected by Yachiru's presence, he didn't even notice when she left his body.
Kenpachi meets Bakis Dad. "Fists?" Yuijuro asks smiling "Fuckit fists" Kenpachi saise smiling throwing his sword to the side. :2 min later: Kenpachi tells the bartender to tell the gorilla he left his coat in the garbage can as he leaves to pickup Yuchiru
while i love Zoro to death Kenpachi's bankai is simply out of Zoro's league hell its almost too much Kenpachi to handle, which implies the increase in power isn't a set thing its a constant increase and his body simply cant contain at a certain point. His bankai might make him the strongest soul reaper in history should he learn to control it.
No if you did watch the episode where Zaraki takes off his eye patch you would have known that the eye patch eats his reiatsu BUT if he takes it off the reiatsu that was being eating would be used.

Well, we all assumed that he beat Komamura's ass, while Komamura used his bankai, so that's a pretty good observation
